I agree. They should take your word for it. It not like it is real money involved. It is just a couple of Green points.

Then the fees won’t affect most Oceania cruisers! 🤪

Are we allowed to discuss pricing?

I had perfect viewing weather too. I was able to view it from our resort deck. Saw one once before but it was before the glasses were available. I built a pinhole projector. This was a lot better and I even got some good photos from my iPhone pro max camera that has a 150 mm telephoto equivalent. Posted a few of them on social media. So have I looked at those photos again ……nope. No reason to view one again as it can’t be any better. And nothing can beat taking the elevator in the condo to our resort deck which was in the totality path. 😀 -

That is what I said. If OP doesn’t book a cruise that includes the date of the eclipse they will get normal pricing. -
I don’t want to play games in a sports bar if the sound is on the screens. Some sports bars here only have the captions on. That would be okay. I do like the changes to the lawn area. If I could sit there and read with refreshment options and not take up space at Cafe Al Bacio that would be great 😀

My travel agent is in a consortium so has access to group rate pricing available. Some times that comes with other perks. -
That is what I meant. You need an internet connection on a website but you can take a screenshot or export the page as a PDF, which is stored on your device and will be available offline.

Nobody has ever mentioned it running for Oceania or Regent but maybe they did not think it was important. I kind of doubt it but you can let us know. Even though NCL's parent company owns Oceania they keep things seperate. I knew about that before I went on Oceania and it actually concerned me as NCL to me is meh. Turned out I would never have known about the connection onboard. Also NCL bought that boat because the public ferry would get overcrowded when their mega ships docked. I don't think that problem exists when Oceanias or Regents smaller ships are at the Dockyard. You could inquire with Oceania.

If you want to cruise during the eclipse of course you are going to pay a higher price. So higher prices in August. That does not translate to 2026. In means highr prices for cruises in August. Prices might be higher in 2016 but that would not be because of the eclipse. Of course they are making a big deal out of it as they want to sell those cruises at te higher prices. -

The exchange rate is what it is - nothing will change that - I booked through Celebrity Canada - so my quoted prices are in CAD. I don't see the point of using a travel agency - I haven't done that in 30 years I have only booked with a travel agent for 30 years! I let the travel agents do the work. You are right about the exchange rate but the pricing could be different. They might charge different fares in Canada than in the US having nothing to do with the exchange rate. -

An eclipse is only on one day. Highly unlikely that has anything at all to do with the pricing unless the cruise you booked is for that date in the Mediterranean or Iceland. Last April we experienced a total eclipse right over my home and it was great, very convenient, but if I wanted to experience it again in August 2026 I would book a land vacation under the path which includes Barcelona and Reykjavik. Here in Texas the sky were clear and the view was great but I would not say masses of people booked trips to be here. They should have though. It was spectacular. -
The shuttles do drop off at the beach level and pick up at the beach level.

You can’t name any travel agents or agencies. -
If you can’t access tickets on your phone it is operator error. If the tickets can’t be added to the phones wallet I take a screenshot. But I understand some people have problems with tech. My brother in law for example can’t figure out how to use anything but email and can’t remember how to silence his phone. I have gotten calls from friends that they can’t access their phone because they forgot their passport. The Apple Notes app is a great place to store documents on my phone because I can put them right in from emails or scan them right in and organize them. You don’t have to be online to use Apple Notes. I don’t need documents in a binder because I can put them together in a folder for any trip.

I have always got points from the links posted on this thread but I never get the emails anymore.
-
I guess you never dealt with Celebrity’s IT? They can’t even manage to send me the PUP emails or Captains Club emails. I get marketing emails and emails when I have a booking but they can’t fix the Captains Club black hole.
-
They don’t care about people’s OCD about a few power up points. They are giving them away so I don’t think they care enough to spend money to send an email. Really if the program gets out of hand they will drop it. For example we recently had a really good program at an organization but had to drop it because all the phone calls and emails were taking up staff time.

Internet is only needed to get your boarding pass. Once it is on the phone in my Apple Wallet it doesn’t go away. Or you could take a screenshot. There are also kiosks in the airport to print out boarding passes. Also if you have an issue the gate agent can print out a boarding pass. I don’t ever worry about boarding passes.

About $10. They charge an additional $1 for luggage in the boot so I guess they would charge that fee. Most taxis don’t take credit cards. A few do. I would not consider Tobacco Bay very accessible, it might be awkward to take a mobility scooter there but that is my subjective opinion. YMMV.

Oceania is not a mass market line and the demographic is different. Very few kids onboard for example. I never saw any ducks, people hiding ducks or looking for ducks. Most of the sailings are port intensive so if you were thinking on bringing ducks to hide I suggest not doing so.
-
They had to put signs up on Royals' Oasis class ships in Central Park Duck Free zone because people were trampling the live plants looking for Ducks. I think if the fad does not die out more and more of the mass market lines will ban them because of the nuts bringinf=g suitcases full of ducks.

And check the expiration dates. I for one trust my phone and keep all the other documents on the phone. I trust the phone more than paperwork. But I also have an iPad so I have redundency. What is on the phone is backed up to iCloud and so I could access from any device. Credit cards are on my phone and watch but I do take physical cards in case somewhere does not take tap and pay. Tap and pay are more secure than physical cards . Be sure to take more than one credit card. I take at least one on the Visa network, one on MasterCard and my AMEX. Amex however is not accepted every where. Don't bother with Discover. Make sure the cards don't charge foreign transaction fees.

The best way circunavigate Iceland is fly in to Iceland and do the Ring Road. Any land trip to Iceland is the way to go. You will miss so much doing a cruise.

Passport Validity "6 Months": a Princess cruise requirement?

Yep. If they have a Green Card they can travel out of US ports on closed loop cruise without a passport. -
Passport Validity "6 Months": a Princess cruise requirement?

It would not be a mistake for the Princess Alaska cruise that the OP mentioned is what they are planning on taking.
