We booked the first one. We want to relax before dinner and we have the early seating.
Just in case you didn't know, you must book this one before you get on the ship. It's all done by email.
How do you book this?

This doesn't bother me at all. Ketchikan was cancelled but we were only scheduled to be there for 6 hours or so-didn't even plan anything here. Very excited to have more time in Victoria. OBC and 25% off future cruise...I'll take it! 76 days!!!

18 year old - no drinking on board, but can at most ports
18 year old can definitely gamble on board....at least mine did.
My two sons had no problem finding something to do, but they had each other. They should have a scheduled meet & greet for people in this age group.

I'm pretty sure that $250 would at least come close if not completely covering the cost toupgrade to balcony room. Then she'd have a place to smoke AND enjoy the balcony too.
Great advice!!! This seems like the best answer. I quit smoking last year & I NEVER smoked inside.....GROSS! When I did smoke, I always made sure I had a balcony. Although, my mother would do it if she thought she could get away with it:(

Sounds soooo yummy! If we have a cool night next month on the Liberty, I'll have to try it. Definitely having on the Miracle to Alaska. Might have a little peppermint schnapps in it :D

I'm still doing research, but I don't think it is the Sheraton anymore:eek: Not even sure what is going on there, but there is more information on the Bahamas thread.

Could you please email me a name/contact info for a driver. Thanks jonstray@aol.com
I sent you an email. Have fun!

Could be fall break:eek: A lot of schools (at least in the west) take a fall break for a week in October.

YUMMY! The Huevos Rancheros is my favorite. :D

Things get fun at about 25-30 feet. :p
We've rarely had rough seas in hurricane season. January seems to routinely have a day or so of noticeable seas. May out of Baltimore was our roughest sailing where we had two straight days of stormy seas. We've also hit rocky waters in November.
This past January I woke up about 5am on the Liberty on our last sea day and the ship was REALLY moving. Got up, went up to Lido and got some coffee - the elevators were banging around in the shafts and not working. I walked all over the ship enjoying up and down. I got down near guest services and the waves crashing on the hull sounded like thunder. The ship was deserted and I really enjoyed wandering around and feeling the power of the sea. When we got home I looked up the ship's reports online and they were reporting 8 meter waves early that morning.
Where do you find the ship's reports? That would be interesting to read:)

LOL. Wow she looks small as I sit here on my balcony. Time for a drink. LOL
Or another one:p And have another for me!! Lucky you...we are having freezing fog:(

How high do the waves have to get before you can really feel it?

Funny story, which I should have included in my St. Thomas portion of the review.
We stopped at the Mountain Top, and as I was shopping, I asked my husband to buy us a couple of banana daquiris. The woman who served him asked if he was here with his wife, to which my husband replied yes. She then proceeded to pour a triple-shot of rum into my drink! I knew something was up, because after my first sip, I could feel the alcohol in my knees! It wasn't until after I had completely finished my drink, that my husband told me the story. Great drink!
Sunny Liston is wonderful. He is high energy, and gets the bus singing (still humming a few songs in my head!). Sunny is professional, and I would highly recommend him. You can book his tours directly through his website here: http://www.sunnylistontours.com/
Did you book this as a private tour? We are thinking about doing this in January. Go to Sapphire Beach and mountain top. There are only 4 of us or do they wait until the bus is full? And can you tell me the difference between Mountain Top and Paradise Point.

Okay - updated menu to current. :)
Thank you!!! I plan on eating there twice every sea day :p Too many things I want to try. I especially LOVE the huevos rancheros, the steak and eggs, and the mac&cheese.......drooling now!!:D

YUMMMY!!! Can't wait to have it for breakfast and lunch:D I will miss the Churros though, they were perfect when I had them.

Can't fix stupid:eek:

The dress code for the steakhouse is the SAME as the MDR. Most dress a little nicer on casual nights. I wore a nice skirt and blouse. My DH & DSs wore collared shirts and slacks. We went the first night. The food was very good:) I had a crab cake that was the best I have ever had. The service is over the top great....a 11. We plan on going again on all of our future cruises.
Have a great cruise!!!

You don't have to put the whole amount on your S&S. My boss gave me one last year and I put some on my account and some on my sons. I used the kiosk (no line). If you have any left over, you can save it for a future cruise :)

This Mega Yacht was docked next to us. the Serene.
Nice! I had to look it up...it's owned privately by a Russian who distributes Stoli vodka. But that is one reason I love to cruise....I can show up in my boat too :p

getting back on a cruise ship tomorrow so this will likely wait another week. :o

I know this is an older post, but hoping to "revive" this topic and get some info from this post. I would love for our little family to visit Chileno Beach on one of our days in port. I actually contacted a snorkel trip company (Rissalena) and they warned me that the water would be very cold for an actual snorkel trip, so I'm wondering about getting to this beach to just hang out for the day. We have 2 boys 10 & 6 and I figured they could play in the sand with a little swimming and we could kind of be on our own schedule. It was mentioned in this post the best way to get to and from this beach on your own and wondered if anyone could give me the information they got while researching. Any companies or reliable people I could contact to get us to or from for a reasonable price (and not miss our ship)? My email is brookevyacht at Hotmail dot com if anyone would like to email me the information. Thanks so much!
I sent you an email.

I had to go back and look to see if I actually packed coffee filters and then I realized that is the porcelain bowl that the steward fills with amenities. We had soap and toothpaste in it this time
It looks just like coffee filters:p I thought maybe you had a good use for them other than making coffee:o

Great review!! Sounds like such fun:D One ? I have is about the coffee filters on the sink in the bathroom.....you use them for?

Mike: You are a member of the RCMP. As such I'm sure you known that there is a large sector of the North American population that simply cannot accept the fact that, in most cases, the individual is responsible for making personal decisions to ensure their safety and security.
Folks like Name Of the Game hold ideas and attitudes that make lawyers rich and nanny-state lovers feel good about themselves.
Pay no attention and keep enjoying life. BTW, love the review!
Doc
Exactly!!! :D And he is a RCMP and is more than capable of determining what is safe or not!!

Do you have an email for the reservation? I've checked the web site and can't figure out how to contact them
