  1. I suppose there will be at least one opposing view of a cruise that is posted here. Different strokes and each cruise is nit the same viewed from different eyes.
  2. No,Julie My TA had a meeting with Natalya but was listening to exciting new things that shebeill be implementing around the ship. He wasn't there to suggest anything about the Retreat. In fact he is tight lipped at what was discussed as I would expect him to be. He wasn't there to tell her to change the whole ship configuration.
  3. As you say, these small things do happen on any ship. I would be worried if it happened on a submarine but not on a ship.
  4. As you say Markham. The system works and the wise will continue to use it.
  5. I too do not like a buffet or the Colonnade but you will be pleasantly surprised on the Pursuit. It is lovely and not at all like the larger ships. I think you'll eat there after trying it out.
  6. Totally agree. One ship, one class. This is what we have always had in the past with Seabourn.
  7. Our TA had a very interesting meeting with the CEO yesterday. Things are happening apparently. We will see how it all goes.
  8. I have always thought that this location is possibly the worst on the ship. Why you would put your best suite under the pool deck to hear all that goes on early morning and late night. I always book a suite with a suite above and a suite below me on any ship. I had a suite below the pool deck once and luckily was quickly moved to another suite. Being woken at 05.00 with chair scraping and cleaning is not an option.
  9. You'll be seeing red for a couple of weeks I think 😀
  10. Yes,I was at a conference two weeks ago. It's a lovely hotel but not in a good area for luxury cruise passengers. Rosewood will be opening a new hotel in the old American embassy in Grosvenor Square which is a good area, but not for a year or so yet.
  11. My first and only meal of the day is dinner and no alcohol until then.
  12. The menu for food and wine is dreadful. Nothing luxury or special about any of it. If you want seclusion away from the sun and crowds and a TV, then I can see no benefit over staying in your suite for the day after paying for it. On fact if it's really hot then air con in the suite is a benefit over the hot and stuffy Retreat. I can see nothing positive.
  13. You won't if you docked at every port 😀
  14. Not a lot more than you could get around the ship in other restaurants or from room service. The Champagne is pretty standard. I thought that they used to serve Bollinger in the Retreat
  15. The hotel is enchanting with or without people. You'd have to stay there to experience it. Being stuck in the south of France is very appealing to many of us and I make it happen as often as possible.
  16. Indeed. What about the clever camera work and the outside shots as the second act starts.
  17. I bet you call Mr B Max sometimes. I went to see Sunset Boulevard last week at the Savoy theatre in London. Nicole Scherzinger is fantastic in the role. So good I'm going to her again.
  18. Line up? Surely you've been cleared for Fast Track
  19. And not many people use the restaurant for breakfast or lunch even when they do open it. Use it or lose it is what is happening on many lines. Not much point staffing and empty restaurant.
  20. It is in the wrong part of town for luxury cruise passengers.
