  1. Totally off-topic -- @Quartzsite Cruiser(Lenda) -- saw Nomadland yesterday and immediately thought of you guys. Kay
  2. Yes it was!! When I was working, we said things like this were caused by the "blue fairy" 🧚‍♂️
  3. Lenda -- What happened?? Somehow the gremlins added my photos to the end of your post!! 😵
  4. Good Sunday morning! Thank you to everyone who contributes to this thread, it’s the bright spot of my morning. Healing thoughts to all on the care list and cheers to the celebratory list. Good to see Roy back posting and “spinning around”. We were in Ålesund June 24, 2015, on the Caribbean Princess (North Cape and Summer Solstice Cruise). We rented a car there and drove out to Godøya Island, so my photos are a bit different than some others. To reach Godøya, we had to drive over several bridges and cross three islands. Our destination
  5. It certainly was, doesn't get any fresher 😃 Thank you. You are so right, it was an absolutely amazing bookstore. If you ever get back to Porto, a visit is recommended. Only one problem, they prohibit photography but I didn't see the sign before I was caught "red-handed" 🤭. The lady didn't make me erase the photo, but I did buy their book on the history of the place.😇
  6. Happy Mother’s Day! Thanks to all who contribute to this thread…it’s informative, entertaining and caring. Healing to those on the care list and cheers to those on the celebratory list. Interesting that Porto is the Port of the Day – we closed our evening out last night enjoying a glass of Offley Late Bottled Vintage Port (2015) while sitting on our brand new lanai furniture under the stars. In November, 2012, we took an “Immersive Wine Cruise” on Celebrity Constellation followed by a TA. The wine cruise was round trip Southampton with stops in LeHavre (ov
  7. Good morning, all. Thank you Rich and Roy and all who contribute. Healing thoughts to those on the care list and lots of cheers to the celebratory list. It’s a glorious morning here in Central Florida and is shaping up to be a perfect day for a round of golf this afternoon. We have been to the Beagle Channel twice – first time was in December, 2013, when we did LA to Rio (‘round The Horn) on Golden Princess and stopped at Ushuaia. We did a ship expedition to Tierra del Fuego. Approaching Ushuaia via the Beagle Channel Quick snap of the h
  8. Happy Cinco de Mayo, everyone . Thank you to all who contribute to this thread…what a great group of people. We have crossed the Equator many times but only five by ship – March, 2013, on Star Princess (LA-Papeete-LA) - 2 crossings December, 2013, on Golden Princess (LA to Rio) January, 2014, on Pacific Princess (Manaus to Fort Lauderdale) September, 2018, on Maasdam (Fort Lauderdale to Papeete). Strangely I cannot find one picture from the two middle crossings, but here are some from the first (Star Princess) and the most recent (Maasdam).
  9. Bleeding hearts remind me of my grandmother -- she had tons of them in her garden. 💕
  10. Glad your DW was able to skip the appointment. Ours also expire this year. Filled out the paperwork and both of us were given "conditional approval" within days but still have to go for in-person interview. Appointments are for 5/25/21 @ Sanford (FL) Airport.
  11. Good Sunday morning, everyone. Both of us are only children, so can't celebrate siblings; will have to call my grand 🐕 today and wish him a happy May Day for Muts. (He's also the only "baby" in the family.) Healing wishes for those on the care list and 🥂 to those on the celebratory list. We were in Ärhus on 4/28/19 -- the last port before the end of our TA on Regal Princess that disembarked the next day in Copenhagen. We just walked around town and hit a couple of eating places I had researched. View of town from the ship Stre
  12. When we did our first full transit of the Panama Canal, we took a night tour of the Miraflores locks. Two years later (couldn't believe the dates on these pics), we did our first Hawaii cruise. The first day in Honolulu, I made a comment to the city bus driver on his beautiful lei and he just gave it to me!! On day two, we took the tour to the Arizona Memorial and I placed it there.
  13. Our very last cruise 😭 was “32-day Holy Land & Journey to the New World” on the Rotterdam – 10/19/2019, to 11/20/2019. We were in Ashdod on 10/24/19. We took a 9.5 hour ship tour and, when going thru our photos, they are almost identical to @StLouisCruisers. Wonderful experience!
  14. Good morning everyone! Thanks for the Daily and all who contribute. We have entered the Panama Canal from the Caribbean twice, but can't find any pictures of San Cristobal. In 2014, we went to Antarctica on an expedition ship with Quark Expeditions. Following are a few of our "many" penguin pictures. This was a Chinstrap penguin on Aitcho Island -- our first landing after crossing the Drake Passage. Cuverville Island is home to the largest Gentoo penguin colony on the Antarctic Peninsula. (Our ship "Sea Spirit" in background.)
  15. It’s cocktail hour!! Decided to go ahead and make it with the Prosecco, after all it is the drink of the day 😉
