  1. Ugh, I was also booked on the cancelled sailing. Moved it to the Legend on Oct. 20th. Also had friends ‘twist my arm’ 😁 and booked the Legend 7/25/2021 to Russia. Excited for that! Anyway, enjoy!🛳️
  2. Love the Legend! A group of us are sailing her to Greenland in June. can't wait! Looking forward to the trip report.
  3. I didn't see that as an option, but at home I use hickory smoked sea salt. It is yummy.
  4. Nope. When we sailed to Singapore on Splendor, we changed time almost every night. At one point we even lost an one hour and an entire day crossing the intl date line. Hub app didn’t always display the correct time and smart phones were messed up too. I have never been so confused on a daily basis as to what time it actually was. Lol
  5. I'll have to try it. And that is cheap! :) I have always used Denavir, which is a prescription, and it works amazing, but the cost is out of hand, its high even with insurance coverage. The cash cost for Denavir topical cream 1% is around $857 for a supply of 5 grams.
  6. I always put my cruise tags on my bag the morning of, and I just use the slide out 'clean under nail pointy thing' on the nail clippers to punch a hole in the folded luggage tag and then use a cable tie to connect to my bag. Multipurpose :)
  7. [ I use zip ties. Easy to cut off by security, if needed. I can also tell if someone has been in my suitcase. ] This. I also keep a baggy of extra ones in a side pocket of my suitcase, along with a toenail clipper which I use to cut them off. Have never had any issues.
  8. Sorry you might have to cancel. You can also go into your cruise manager and cancel online, where it shows your cost details. Once you click cancel, a screen pops up stating any penalties. You confirm you want to cancel and you’ll then receive a pdf letter from Carnival stating the details which you can then submit. I had to cancel with a big penalty. Sent the letter to my cc, since the trip was purchased with that card and was able to get my entire penalty refunded. Unfortunately they have now discontinued that benefit of travel insurance. 🙁
  9. I have been having issues since Thursday. Can't access any of my bookings - they all disappeared and it was asking me to add the booking numbers. 😠 Now I click on 'shore excursions' and get 'site under construction.' Beyond irritating.
  10. I brought some foil-type wrapping paper and covered my entire door. Then picked up a couple stockings and snowman decoration to add top of that. Also brought some of those gel clings to put on my mirror. Dollar store is great for all this stuff - at the end of the cruise I just took down and tossed out. I would totally wear the onsies. 👍 Anything goes - you will not be out of place even just walking around. 😄 I cruised last Christmas and they have multiple Christmas festivities in the lobby - I got a really cool Carnival Santa hat and 'bracelet' type jingle bells they were handing out for free. Enjoy!
  11. For an anniversary, I would totally do the Chef’s Table. I’ve done it a few times. Its definitely exotic and more ‘foodie’ related, but what an experience. It’s literally food theater. 🙂. Exotic doesn't mean bugs or anything.🤣 Just how it’s prepared....olive oil foam is one Item I remember. It does take a 2-3 hrs. Champagne to start and then nonstop wine at dinner. Small tour of the galley before you sit down to eat where they show how they make chocolate melting cake. You usually find out when your reservation is once you get on board. You absolutely have to try it at least once.🙂
  12. If the weather is bad, as in too windy, some activities could be closed - like the rope course. And I’ve been on ships where everything seemed fine, but the water slides were closed. Not to be Debbie downer, 😐 but just FYI.
  13. Enjoying your review. I was on the Big Island in 2017 and we did a bike tour up to the active lava. We were told about the church - it needed to be moved from the path of advancing lava. Glad to know it survived the recent lava flows in 2018. We had rented a house (red arrow) on the Kapoho Tide Pools and it was amazing. Great snorkeling and at the very end of the island - we walked along a new sidewalk they had installed, along all these newly built homes. Was super sad to find out that the lava had taken its toll. But guess its a chance you take when you build there.
  14. curious, how did you use onboard credit to pay for excursions? Or are you on the ship now?
  15. I have a solar powered watch I bring on cruises. Then I change to manual times on my phone. I also check the Hub app anytime there is a ship’s time change just to make sure I’m good.🕰️ Although on Splendor’s cruise to Singapore we crossed the intl dateline, so skipping an entire day plus changing time another hour really threw the Hub app out of sync for almost a day. But we were in the middle of 7 days at sea so didn’t have to worry about port or excursion times. :)
