Never mind.  I just got a text from my brother.  He’s not going on this cruise but was originally going when we booked last year and Covid canceled it.  Anyway the carnival person put his email down on my account when I rebooked solo.  So he got all the password resets.  So my password is reset and I update my email on my account 

So I forget my password for my Carnival account.  I tried the forgot password more than once. I never get an email. However when I did forgot username I got an email right away.  I tried calling support today only to be on hold forever so I hung up.  Any suggestions?  I got a cruise coming up in Feb

For sure I see them serving people on the buffet instead of people serving themselves and people not being able to get their own drinks on the Lido

I don't drink soda anymore but WAAA on switching to Pepsi.  Even though I don't drink soda anymore sometimes I do drink a rum and coke and rum in pepsi is just wrong

We went ahead and booked a cruise leaving May 16th just in case.  We couldn't pass  up the awesome rates.  $295 a person for an 8 nightery out of Miami on the Horizon on the spa deck.  That $295 includes taxes and port fees.

Ahhh well that makes sense.  I did my share of cruising on Carnvial and luckily never had to do an upper lower.  Now if they were to make those cabins single supplements I would for sure do those.  A cabin to myself without paying double  Sign me up

Last year when we did guarantee room we got assigned about 2 weeks before the cruise.  We are doing it again on our cruise in April.  As long as we don't get an upper lower interior room, which we were told, that wouldn't happen, we don't care where our interior room is

When it come down to it as long as I don't forget my wallet, passport, boarding pass and prescription meds anything else I forget I don't really need 

But I do like to pack baby wipes.  I like them better than those hand sanitizing wipes, less abrasive on my skin.  I get the non scented sensitive skin ones

I also like to pack a cheap cup to carry around on the ship for water.  I don't like to bring my good Tervis Tumblr just in case I lose it.  

I normally take only one or 2 pair of dress pants/ skirts and will re-wear them through the week for dinner

I found online that there is only going to be 2 ships in port so shouldn't be too back.  Like I said I just need me a chair on the beach and a good book.  Maybe a cocktail.

If you have already booked your cruise and already redeemed the OBC reward just email the redemption code to the casino.  We booked on Friday and sent our redemption code same night and it was added to our account by the next day.    

Also I read some where that only one OBC per cabin.  There are 4 of us going and we have 2 cabins booked.  We each got to redeem the $100 OBC.  

But yes if you end up not using it you can refund it on My Vegas and get your coins back.

Cool thanks.  I just want a lounger on the beach and relax and enjoy some quiet time

April 25th will be my second time cruising Royal Caribbean and my first time stopping at their private island.  I read on a blog that there could be upwards of 3 or 4 ships at port that day.  That doesn't seem like it is going to be a relaxing time on the beach to me.   Does it feel crowded?  Will it be hard to grab a beach chair/lounger on the beach and just chill while enjoying a good book and maybe a swim in the ocean?

That I don't know.  I saw people with their cards punched but I just bought a lanyard with the little holder on it for my card.  I'm sure guest services can punch it

I've only been on one Royal Caribbean cruise and there is the food that stuck out to me as being good

MDR:  eggs benedict.  The hollandaise sauce on it was really good.   The horseradish crusted salmon.  The horseradish wasn't an over powering taste but really tasty.  French Onion soup was good.   The sauces on the pasta I ate at dinner a few night was good but the pasta was not.  Too chewy and was sticking together.

Windjammer:  I'm not a huge buffet person but I really liked the make your own nachos/ taco area and the last night of the cruise I skipped the dining room and ate at Windjammer and the fish and chips were good.  Just the right amount of breading.

Deserts:  The Chocolate Bar.  You can get that at the Windjammer or the Café Promenade.  Soooo gooood!

Yup pretty much.  A bit surprised it recognized me.  My passport photo I'm not wearing my glasses but was the day we got off.

I'm for sure willing to try Royal Caribbean again probably not the Oasis class.  Seems very massive like you have to go hunt to find a view of the ocean.

If you want the most quietest place on board, go to the Chapel.  I didn't find it till the last night and no one was in there.

DAY FIVE:  SEA DAY

- Today slept till about 7ish and then did some packing since it was the last day of the cruise.  We all skipped breakfast that morning.  I wasn't hungry, neither was mom, and dad and brother had the 10 am sushi making class and wanted to make sure they were hungry for the sushi.   While they were at the class, my mom did some dancing thing and I chilled in the hot tub in the Solarium area and spent some time reading on a lounger.  Her and I met up for lunch were I had once last serving of Nachos.  After that I chilled a bit in the library area on deck 7 and read some more before meeting everyone for the love and marriage show.  That was hilarious, as it always is.  Finished packing and showered for dinner.  However I didn't join my family in the dining room for dinner.  Nothing was catching my eye on the menu so I went to Harry Potter Trivia and had dinner at the Windjammer.  It was seafood night so I had a lot of shrimp, some fish.   Chilled a bit with my book before finding everyone to head to Deck 11 to watch Football.  Stayed through half time before wandering around the ship one last time.  I wandered around and found this lounge area on deck 14 that I didn't know was there all week along with a little chapel up a flight of stairs in the lounge.  Also watched the lifeguards conduct their refresher training in the Solarium Pool.

After that I called it a night.

DEBARKATION DAY:

- We ate breakfast at the Windjammer and headed off the ship.  Our number hadn't been called yet once off board our luggage was at our area so it worked out.  Getting through customs was a breeze as they had the facial recognition things.  It will be great if other cruise lines and ports do this.

OVERALL LIKES:

The Chocolate Bar... lol.  I try so hard not to eat a lot of sweets but I was hooked on these all week.

The Solarium Area... two big hot tubs and a pool and never crowded.

Breakfast Buffet in the dining room.... not crowded at all, unlike Windjammer so it was quick.

The Promenade Deck... laid out really nice and never felt crowded in the shops.  On Embarkation day they had a grill area set up with burgers, dogs, and fries, to help keep Windjammer from getting congested.  

The Coke Freestyle Machines....  I don't drink soda anymore but for those who do and get the unlimited soda package this is great so you are not having to wait at a bar to be served a canned soda.

OVERALL DISLIKES:

How long it took to get back on board from the Tender in Bar Harbor.  It's not really the cruise line's fault but still sucked.

The Casino... too crowded and reeked of cigarette smoke that it made my throat feel scratchy.

The Trivia topics... again not the cruise line's fault really.  I love playing the trivia games on cruises but other than Harry Potter trivia none of the other topics really interested me

This is my fault but didn't discover until the last sea day, when I wasn't hungry for breakfast, that Café Promenade served breakfast burritos and sandwiches.. so just FYI.

Overall great cruise and if the price is right I will cruise Royal Caribbean again.

DAY THREE:  BAR HARBOR MAINE

- Up and ready again and again we did the breakfast buffet in the dining room.  Again I had bacon and fruit.  We didn't have cruise sponsored excursion but rather a tour through a company called Ollie's Trolley.  Our tour with them was 930 and Bar Harbor is a tender stop and also we had to go through customs since we were back in the US.  According the notices on board, priority was being given to those with ship excursions, so we were afraid of missing our tour, but we talked to someone at Guest Services who allowed us to get in line with those with ship excursions.  Turned out they didn't even ask to see anyone's tour tickets.  Going through customs was a breeze.  They brought the customs agents onboard and it was walking through a line through the dining room.  They looked at your passport, looked at you and then you got a sticker placed on your Sail Pass card.  After that we headed down to the tenders.  It was triple decker tender boat that held about 400 people.  Once on shore it was probably half a block to Ollie's Trolleys.  We did the 4 hour tour to Acadia National Park.  Our tour guide was great.  Our first stop in Acadia was Cadillac Mountain.  This was the best part of the tour.  The views were beautiful, I wish we could have stayed at that spot longer to walk some of the trails around there.  We had three other stops in the park before our tour was over.   After the tour, we headed to this restaurant right there near the water called Stewman's Lobster Pound.  I had another delicious lobster roll while by dad and brother had full lobsters with mussels, corn, and potatoes, and an appetizer of claim chowder and desert of blue berry pie.  YIKES a lot of food.  My mom wasn't hungry and doesn't like sea food so she walked around while we ate.

After our tour and eating we headed back to get in line for a tender back on ship.  Again we were on the triple deck tender.  Once docked alongside boat, it was so slow getting off.  It took an hour to get off the tender.   We did have a show though.  Some guy with an ocean view cabin was standing at his window waving at people.  He was shirtless and let's just say he was older with sagging man boobs.  It was hilarious.  Heard from other people he was actually completely naked and that he did it because it was his birthday and he wanted to be in his birthday suit.   

More relaxing on board for awhile, which also included an hour nap before getting ready for dinner.   After dinner watched the show Impact in the main theater.  This show was good.  Apparently these guys were on America's Got Talent but I don't remember them.  Don't really remember what I did after that but I know at some point it involved a trip to Café Promenade for a Chocolate Bar before bed.

DAY FOUR:  HALIFAX NOVA SCOTIA

- Again breakfast in the dining room and then had to go sit and wait in the Lyric Theater by 7:45am for our ship sponsored tour to Peggy's Cove.   Ship docked at 8 am and after we were clear to get off the ship we were escorted with the rest of the group off the ship to the bus loading area for the tour.  It was an hour long bus ride to Peggy's Cove.  We spent 40 minutes there before another hour bus ride back.  The tour was okay but if you can rent a car and are willing to drive the hour out there, I would do that so you can spend more time at Peggy's Cove.  Once back we walked the board walk a bit where my dad and brother bought rum cakes from a little shop.  Once back to the port area, mom and I headed back on board while dad and brother went to this brewery to try some beer.  Once on board mom and I went to Windjammer for lunch where I had nachos again..nachos nachos nachos.  It was surprisingly a bit humid all day so after eating I changed into my swimsuit and hit the Solarium area to get in the pool, which turned out to be very warm so I switched it up and went to one of the other pools on deck and that once was not only bigger but not as warm.  It was nice relaxing in the pool before it was time to get out to go shower for dinner. 

That night at dinner was lobster tail night.  I managed to eat two of them.. lol.  None of went to the show that night as it didn't interest any of us.  Went to a few of the trivia games at the Imperial Theater.  That night, before bed, you guessed it Chocolate Bar from Café Promenade.

A little background:  38 year old female from the great state of Indiana. First time Royal Caribbean cruiser here.  This was my 11th cruise, the others being on Carnival and Princess.   I'm not a brand loyalist to Carnival I just tend to go with the best deal, which is normally Carnival.  This time it was Royal Caribbean.  This cruise, I cruised with my parents and my brother.  I share a cabin with my mom and my dad shares with my brother.

Our itinerary was Saint Johns New Brunswick, Bar Harbor Maine, and Halifax Nova Scotia and the cruise left from Jersey.

EMBARKATION

- Embarkation went smoothly.  We dropped our bags off with the porter and parked at the surface lot.  Check in was a breeze because we did it ahead of time.  We were still early for boarding so we sat and waited.  They started boarding the ship at 10:30 am so we were on board no later than 10 minutes after that.

ON BOARD EMBARKATION DAY

- Once on board we went up to deck 6 where our cabins were just on the chance they were open earlier than posted.  They were not so we headed to the Windjammer for an early lunch.  First thing, upon entering Windjammer, was "washy washy"  For those who never cruised Royal Caribbean they have hand washing stations and sanitizing dispensers at the entrance to make sure everyone cleaned their hands.  This is a really good idea but I would hate having to be the person assigned to remind people to wash their hands all day.  The food, on the buffet, was standard cruise buffet food.  I settled on making my own nachos and had a hotdog.   There was a nice desert selection and I absolutely loved this cake called the Chocolate Bar.  Half cake have mousse like topping.  SOOOO good.  The Windjammer was smaller than the Lido Buffet on Carnival so once we were done eating we left to free up the table for others, instead of chilling until the rooms opened as we normally do on other cruises.

We explored the ship after eating and saw the Arcade, the Flow Rider, rock climbing wall, Lyric Theater, Imperial Theater, Studio B, and The Royal Promenade.

At 1, when the cabins opened up we headed there to dump our carry on bags and to get our Sail Pass Cards (I think that is what Royal Caribbean calls them) Cabin type is not important to us we are only there to shower and sleep so we did guarantee interiors where they assigned our cabins for us.  Our cabins ending up being 6455 and 6465 To our surprise, our luggage was already there.  YAY!!!  So we unpacked and then went to the Duck and Dog to chill before safety drill.  My dad and brother liked the drinks at this little pub.  I'm not a huge drinker so I didn't partake and my mom doesn't drink at all.

Safety drill was the safety drill and was quick and painless then up to deck 11 for sail away.

That night was standard cruise dinner in the Sapphire Dining Room and then to the Welcome Aboard Show.  The horseradish crusted Salmon was good but the welcome aboard show was boring.

I capped off the evening by watching the movie Little outside on Deck 11 (cute movie) and discovering the delicious treats at the Café Promenade on Deck 5.  Took a piece of Chocolate Bar back to the cabin to eat before going to sleep.

DAY ONE: SEA DAY

- Couldn't tell you what time I got up but the family, we went to the dining room for breakfast.  The eggs benedict was good.  After that I changed into my swimsuit and enjoyed some time in the Solarium Area while everyone else did other things.  Met up with everyone for lunch in the Windjammer.  Again I had nachos (lol) and some yummy Chocolate Bar for desert.  I headed back to the Solarium to enjoy more relaxing and reading and pool time.  Got out in time to shower and dress for dinner.  My parents and I went to the show in the main theater after dinner but none of us liked it.  Watched a little of the movie End Game on Deck 11 before blowing 20 dollars in the casino and getting me another slice of Chocolate Bar from Café Promenade and heading to bed.

DAY TWO:  SAINT JOHNS NEW BRUNSWICK

- We didn't really have anything planned we were going to play it by ear.  Before getting off the ship we ate breakfast at the dining room again but did the buffet side instead of ordering from the menu.  They had standard: eggs, breakfast meats, waffles, pancakes, etc.. on the buffet.  I had fruit and bacon.  Once off the ship we ended up doing this tour around the area.  It was sponsored by the City Bus in the Area.  $25 a person American.  It was a 2 hour tour and extremely informative and nice.  Being in Canada and on the coast, after our tour we stopped at this bar for Lobster Rolls and beer.  Delicious!   After eating we were back on board just chilling until time for dinner.  After dinner we went to Studio B and watched the Ice Show.  It was good.  I enjoyed the section with the Beatles music.

The Dream is my favorite. I love Ocean Plaza to hang out at. I love the live band that plays with the shows at night, though I bet they did away with the band when they went to the god awful play list production shows.

I love the comedy club. I was told before that it wouldn't work out having it in the main lounge. I call bollocks to that. When I cruised on Princess they had a comedian in the main lounge one night and it was packed and he was very funny. And it was great.
