  1. Thanks Irish Comet! Yes, we are reward members. We will be traveling through Ireland, Scotland, Whales, and London for 2 1/2 weeks prior to our transatlantic cruise so I'm hoping to use as many Marriott points to cover our stay as possible I'll look into the other hotels to compare amenities and location. Thanks again!
  2. Thank You for the recommendations. What is your recommendation of the Marriott Moxy 1-5 Sackville Place Dublin vs the Aloft 1 Mill Street, The Liberties Dublin, please? We're staying in Dublin for a week between our two cruises Oct 2020. We enjoy reading your posts. Thank you for sharing.
  3. We don't have a HR in our area so we collect HR memorabilia from every city that has one.
  4. Thank You so much everyone for the awesome itineraries and suggestions. I forgot my geography and included Blarney in the Scotland list. That's now on the Ireland must sees. Thanks for helping me figure that out! It looks like we will be staying in Edinburgh and using points at the Marriott. What would we all do without Tripadvisor and our friends on CruiseCritic! I've already looked at several day trips and multi day trips.Scotland is beautiful and unique. Other great perk of Marriott is they will store your luggage for a day while you are away and check you back in upon returning. This year's trip will be easier to plan as we can just add more days before the cruise to fit in all of our must sees and just relax days. So nice to not have a time constraint. Cheers Everyone and Happy Planning
  5. We are a family of 4 adults traveling to Scotland prior to the cruise. Trying to figure if Edinburgh or Glasgow is a better "central home location" for doing day trips to Highlands, Isle of Skye, Loch Ness, Loch Lomand, Blarney Castle, Stirling Castle, Jacobite Train (Harry Potter train ride) Trossachs, Edinburgh, and Glasgow. We would prefer to not have to change hotels and stay in a central location. Other options? Thank You!
  6. Thank You! I was looking for a car hire from the airport.
  7. We've stayed at the Marriott in the Red Light District and Museum District. Both were located near trams to get us everywhere we wanted to go. Red Light District is "not scary". Mom and I walked the streets at night and never felt unsafe! Side Note: Book a tour with DamTours Free Walking Tours. Local guides, visit areas off the beaten tourists path, tip at the end of your tour.
  8. We have used SuperShuttle worldwide! When you book your reservation, you will receive an email with detailed instructions on where to meet your vehicle. We claimed our baggage, when through the customs check point, and followed the instructions to our van. If you have any concerns, you can email them or call them. Meeting up with the driver was easy and no stress!
  9. Agree. Just google your ship and sailing date. You'll find other sites! Highly recommend
  10. Thank You! On our list to do while in Salisbury.
  11. I would love to go back and visit Bath again. Beautiful little town.
  12. Agree! London is one of our most favorite places to visit! We plan on staying a week prior to our WBTA cruise back to the states.
  13. Cruise Critic is the first place I always start looking when planning a trip. We stayed at the Marriott in the Museum District and found the trams to be very easy. There is an attendant onbaord who helped us get where we needed to go. We found Amsterdam to be one of the easiest cities to get around. I hope you do too!
  14. Agree! To max your time, try to start early in the day. Verify last boat time and where the drop of point will be. Enjoy!
