  1. We are Elite+ on Celebrity and Elite on Princess. And we have done round trip from the west coast to Hawaii on both cruise lines. And we have sailed on both Grand Princess and Eclipse. You won't go wrong with either choice. The buffet food is better on Celebrity. Dining room food is equal on both. My only gripe about Grand Princess is the Princess Theater is not large enough and you have to get there AT LEAST 30 minutes early to get a seat.
  2. We also were on the 4/11 Edge cruise. So sad we won't be going now. Too bad because it was a pretty good deal - at least for the Edge.
  3. We were on the March 7-14, 2020 sailing of the Equinox. The last sailing before cruising was stopped. We were told they only had a mini-upgrade due to their shipyard space being taken up by RCCL Oasis OTS because of the emergency repairs required due to the crane collapse. The Sky Lounge on deck 14 definitely got nicer furniture. The tables are all still way too close together in the MDR. I don't see how those waiters function.
  4. We are on the April 11 sailing of the Edge and we have the same questions. Will we go or not?
  5. We just had our Oct 16, 2021 Boston to San Juan relo cruise on Summit cancelled. Nothing shown in its place. There is nothing scheduled between Oct 16, 2021 and the first new short cruise out of Florida in early November. So where is Summit going to be during that gap in the schedule?
  6. Celebrity just cancelled our October 16, 2021 cruise on Summit. The e-mail from Celebrity says we can either get a refund for what we have paid or book another Caribbean cruise 'at prevailing rates' and get a $200 on board credit. No option for the 125% FCC and no option to lift and shift. And of course all of the prevailing rates are significantly higher with the new Always Included program. So my question is have they eliminated the FCC and Lift and Shift on all cancellations going forward?
  7. We have been on the Summit a couple of times since the rehab. A couple of things we are not crazy with. 1. The library is gone. The library is now a rack with some books in one of the lounges. 2. The internet cafe is gone. There are now four terminals for passenger use near the purser's desk. Frequently a line to use them. 3. The size of Tuscan Grill has been reduced and the entrance is now clear at the back of the ship. 4. There is a lot of wasted space in the Ocean View cafe and not nearly enough seating during peak times. They need to take some of the empty spac
  8. Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road? DONALD TRUMP: I've been told by my many sources, good sources - they're very good sources - that the chicken crossed the road. All the Fake News wants to do is write nasty things about the road, but it's a really good road. It's a beautiful road. Everyone knows how beautiful it is. JOE BIDEN: Why did the chicken do the...thing in the...you know the rest. SARAH PALIN: The chicken crossed the road because, gosh-darn it, he's a maverick! BARACK OBAMA: Let me be perfectly clear, if
  9. Thanks for all of the responses. I appreciate everyone's input, both the pluses and minuses. We decided to book one of the few traditional 1A balconies on the Edge. We have been on the Zenith, Horizon, Galaxy, Century, Summit, Constellation, Eclipse, and Equinox so we are looking forward to trying the Edge. Hope Captain Kate is on as we have sailed with her on both Summit and Equinox.
  10. All of the reviews I have read on Cruise Critic are pretty negative about the Infinite Verandas. So should I even consider booking one of these rooms?
  11. Like someone else said, both are great ships. Indy is a little bigger. If either one goes to Coco Cay I would select that one. Coco Cay would be a great day for an 11 year old.
  12. We were also suppose to be on Empress today leaving for Bermuda. This was to be our second week of back-to-back on Empress to Bermuda. Our first week was originally suppose to be Canada and New England but it was changed to Bermuda.
  13. The showers on Empress are the smallest you will ever see. Just soap up the walls and spin around. 😀
  14. Love the orange Home Depot bucket.😀
