  1. Sorry you are having so many issues. I know you & know you are the calm, carefree cruiser who doesn't let the little things bother you. I don't blame you a bit. The good old days of cruising the Fun Ships are long gone. :( It's sad watching the decline over the last few years. Hope we can get together soon for a land cruise.
  2. So glad Duck is doing better. That rescue video was hard to watch but so worth it for a S&S family member.
  3. Looks like I will be canceling. Still unemployed here.:( Hopefully I will find a new job soon & be able to rebook. Hope you all have a great cruise.
  4. List or no list.....so glad Carnival went to auto tip policy. Was always a hassle on last day to have to get change for cash tip envelopes. Hardworking staff deserve every penny they get.
  5. Never used pesos but US $$$$ have always worked fine for me.
  6. I have done Bar Hop Tour twice & will be doing it again in Dec. Always a a fun time. Awesome, safe way to see more of the unspoiled beauty of Coz in clean, air conditioned buses with friendly & informative guides to answer any questions & tell you about the island. Can't wait to do it again.
  7. Conquest was moved to Gulfport temporarily when the River was up & power lines were too low. Power lines have since been moved.
  8. Been on both & I would choose Liberty....my favorite ship so far in the Carnival fleet.
  9. Balcony dividers must remain open or closed all week. Paradise Beach in Coz. Great food, drinks with excellent service. GC is very expensive for eating & drinking. Seven Mile Beach is beautiful. Also a Margaritaville close to pier. Belize: Take a tour or stay on the ship. Been to Wet Lizard several times. Food & drinks very disappointing. Roatan: Didn't get off the ship in Oct but pier area looks much improved. Lots of new shops. Check out Ports of Call section for lots of info on each port.
  10. www.portno.com www.nola.com Click on webcams Bridgecam or Rivercam I can't wait to cruise on Triumph. New Orleans is my favorite port to cruise from. Lots of affordable hotels, depending on time of years & scheuled events. Most hotels don't have shuttle service to the port but taxis are available. Some hotels offer cruise packages with parking included. Good website is http://www.neworleansonline.com
  11. I totally agree & have been on all three. Liberty is my favorite & Conquest class is my favorite class of ship.
  12. Embassy Suites Downtown is a great location. You can see the ship from the hotel. Clean, quite rooms with free 2 hour Happy Hour & free full breakfast buffet daily. We arranged a private shuttle from airport to hotel for lower rates & took a cab to the port for $6. Check out the Florida section of the boards for more Tampa info.
  13. Cozumel Bar Hop Tour for adults. Paradise Beach for all ages.
  14. Wow. That's the second time the jackpot has been hit on Glory.
  15. Surprised to hear NO is having trouble with embarkation. My fav port to cruise from & it's always been quick & painless. Seems odd since they handled the Conquest crowd for so long. Maybe they will get back on track soon.
