Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. O stocks one size of bathrobes. They are meant to fit a straight body type without curves in the belly, butt or hips.
  2. Will be aboard the Vista in early March and will need to conduct some business via email and Zoom. Can anyone who has recently been aboard comment on the speed and reliability of the internet service on Vista? TIA.
  3. The last dress code post mostly addressed what the gents wear. Let’s talk about the ladies, shall we? I’ll be on my first Regent cruise shortly and I’m a little worried about not fitting in. Am I expected to wear palazzo pants and an Alex Evenings blouse every single evening lest I be looked down upon as a “scruff”? Or are dressy wide leg pants and a nice blouse (think Sunday brunch attire) acceptable? I’m stressing out about this. Any advice would be appreciated.
  4. Mr Fudge, thank you for an informative and hilarious review. I’ll be embarking the Explorer on 20 Oct and will strive to do a “Live”. Although it certainly won’t live up to your offering I will do my best to make you proud. Safe travels onward. What a pleasure to have read along.
  5. Mr. Fudge I cannot begin to tell you how much I've enjoyed your posts. I will be embarking the Explorer in Japan on 20 October 22 and your daily posts have heightened my anticipation. Your humor is wonderful and I find myself eagerly signing on the CC every day just to read your posts Now...could you ask Mrs. Fudge a question for me please? Is it necessary for ladies to dress in their finery every single evening for dinner? As in always in palazzo pants and an Alex Evenings dressy top, or is something a little less formal acceptable?? Will a cashmere cardigan and dress pants pass muster? Mrs. Fudge will know what palazzo pants are and who Alex is...not need to worry. Thanks, Mr. Fudge. I do so wish I could have sailed with you and the Mrs. Warmest regards from Chicago!
  6. Hopping back on a Princess ship for the first time in many years to Alaska in September. I am beyond frustrated with both the app and the website. The app works...sometimes. Then again, sometimes not. I can't log in with user name and password, must use booking number. Tried to hop on the app again and it won't load. The website is no better. Can't find reservations that I made. Sometimes they show, most times they don't. Any tips to making these things easier to use?? Thank you.
  7. While perusing available dining packages on my upcoming Apex cruise, I noticed that packages of 3-5 speciality dining reservations were being offered at an 8% discount. This is just a reminder that as an Elite Plus member, you are automatically given a 15% discount on specialty dining reservations. I made the mistake of getting a speciality dining package on my B2B cruises last February and didn't want anyone else to miss out on savings like I did! Happy cruising!
  8. A specific dollar amount (I can't remember how much) is taken off your bill at Raw on 5 if you choose to use a specialty dining credit. Any amount over that is charged as usual.
  9. Will be taking a cruise to Japan in October and would like to buy a nice pearl necklace. Any tips for reputable places to shop? Thank you.

Can you please provide details on how to get the pocket Wi-Fi? Thank you .
  11. I can't be the only one who is dismayed that the new head of Celebrity is trying to incorporate more "Royalness" into the cruise line. I choose Celebrity because I enjoy the more upscale experience that it has traditionally offered. The blurring of the brands makes me think she is going to look for more way to cut costs on Celebrity at the expense of service, amenities included in fares, and a more centralized focus on being "family-oriented". There are already enough cruise lines that cater to water slides, kid-friendly amenities and mega ships. The "luxury" lines like Regent and Oceania skew much older than I like and are far too expensive to allow me to cruise regularly on them. Celebrity was always the sweet spot. A little more refined than Royal and a lot less stuffy than Regent. I feel like the upscale elegance the line has always been known for is not trending in the right direction with the addition of Coco Cay. Thoughts???
  12. I'm fresh off the Beyond and absolutely loved the plunge infinity pools in the Rooftop Garden. Can anyone tell me if Apex has the same setup? I looked at the videos on the Celebrity Website but they only show the seating area, not the level below. Thank you!
  13. Thank you for the reply! I will search again for the thread.
  14. Looking for feedback from people who have stayed in a single cabin on an E-class ship. Is the room comfortable? How is the bed? I know the cabin is tiny but overall would you book it again? It’s considerably less expensive than booking a regular cabin for one person.
