Regal! Feb 3-10 Trip Report & Review

Thank you for your review. You do such a nice job! I'm really enjoying it and have picked up a few pointers for our March 3rd cruise on the Regal to the Eastern Caribbean! I'm getting so excited! Can't wait to escape this dreadful weather here in Iowa!

    Plenty of hangers in cabins?

We always hang multiple items on each hanger. That said......I always either throw extra hangers in my luggage or stop at the Dollar Tree to pick up cheap hangers on the way to the ship. I like to hang my clothes up instead of throwing into a drawer!

    Mountaintop & Paradise Point

I'm wondering how similar the views are from Mountaintop and Paradise Point. If you've done both venues and had a choice of just one - which one would you do? Thanks for the help!

    Car Rental with Shuttle

If you belong to Costco....Costco Travel has great rates for rental cars. We're renting one for a day from FLL to be returned the next day at Alamo at Port Everglades (1700 Eller Dr). $54.72 for a standard SUV. Alamo at Port Everglades has a free shuttle to the ship. We've done this before and it works quite well.

Starting second week on Regal Dec 23-Jan 6

Thanks so much for your posts. I really enjoyed reading about your cruise. We'll be sailing on the Regal on March 3rd for the Eastern Caribbean route. Have a safe trip home and a Happy and Healthy 2019! Thanks again!

    Should we get a car?

3 of us flew in the day before our cruise earlier this year and rented a car for only $56.25 thru Costco. It was thru Alamo - picked up at the airport and returned it to the Alamo rental place at the port. Alamo then shuttled us right to the ship. We had a full size car so price was very reasonable. Another thing is that if you have a rental car you have the option of staying a bit further inland and paying less per night for your hotel. This worked well for us.

    Ship rocking on Regal

I’m currently on the Regal in M508...a deluxe balcony. Considering the rough weather last night I’d say no problem at all. Holler if you need any cabin info! Sent from my iPad using Forums

What to do within walking distance of ship

  10. We're booked at Hyatt 17th Street Convention thru Value trips. Rate is $154.29 including taxes and they have a free airport shuttle. Figured we'll get a taxi to the port. Lots of shopping and restaurants to walk to. Total Wine is close by to get your 2 bottles of wine to carry on if you wish!!
  11. Thanks for posting this - looking forward to more. I especially like the tips on creating more space in the cabins. We are a group of 13 sailing on the Oasis during Thanksgiving and space will be at a premium.

17th St. hotels and breakfast included

We're booked at the Embassy Suites before our Nov 21, 15 sailing on the Oasis. I see that they charge $8.00 PP one way airport shuttle. Would it be less expensive to just get a taxi to transport us to the hotel? Thanks!

Taxi w/kids from Oasis of Seas to Chankanaab

We will be a group of 13 with the youngest of the group being 6 years old. Are there restrictions for kids in taxis in Cozumel if we choose to take taxis from the ship to Chank? Also, will they let the 6 year old be a 5th person in a taxi since we have 13 people?
