  1. We also had our Rotterdam cruise cancelled. Notice all four sold ships are on the move thru the Suez Canal.
  2. Sorry Rich, have to celebrate Canada, so a Lobster Roll, poutine and a Beavertail with a Mission Hill Chardonnay. Virtual fireworks tonight! Happy Canada Day!
  3. We just received our email as well for a May 29th sailing that HAL cancelled. We had only advised our travel agent April 27th we wanted to take the FCC.
  4. Be sure to ask about desserts too. My husband has tree nut allergies so preordered all his meals However the desserts are not on those menus and twice he received a dessert with nut garnishes!!
  5. Yes, grapefruit juice. Juices only available at breakfast but we would take a glass back to our room. We also took the cartons of milk available at breakfast for cereal and kept them in our fridge.
  6. On our Fall cruise on the Noordam, they no longer printed and posted the photos. You logged onto a computer with your cruise card and by facial recognition your pics were there.
  7. Some other suggestions: Melbourne, We took the local bus/tram from the cruise terminal. It was $15au. They give you an excellent map and at all the main transfers they're people who direct you. Very easy to use and goes to a lot of tourist areas. Dunedin,We took the tour with Hal to Lanark Castle. Beautiful drive, beautiful gardens, interesting history. Wellington, free shuttle with 2 stops. Go to the 2nd stop at Te Papa Museum, free, fabulous. The Botanical gardens, also free are a beautiful walk, but uphill. Long lines for the Cable car as tours jump the line. Napier, take the shuttle to the Aquarium and walk back along the waterfront. Tauranga, We took the Living Village Experience tour with Hal. Excellent, good meal, interesting drive saw Kiwi farms, tree farms, cattle and sheep.
  8. According to HALs Blog, they are not eliminating the kids CLUB. The arcade experience is an addition. A real plus on Hal ships to Alaska is the pool area has a retractable roof so can be used in all weather and as mentioned not busy. They also offered some afternoon shows in the World Stage on our sea days in Nov. There are also lots of good family movies on your in room TV, free.
  9. On Noordam in Nov. also Lincoln Center Stage and the HAL house band. Love this show, went to both on our BtoB.
  10. Yes we were given tiles at both luncheons.
  11. There were huge lines for cable car with 2 ships in. Tours with Hal jumped the lines. The Te Papa Museum is fantastic. Wish we had gone there first to have more time to explore.
