  1. If they do just deliver to your cabin you can get wheelchair assistance at the terminal to board the ship. That' seems to work out fine but I prefer to get the mobility scooter outside the terminal. Makes life much easier!
  2. Thank you! First time on Celebrity but we've sailed Royal many times and the Coastal Kitchen requires reservations. This is much easier..
  3. Do you need to contact Celebrity to make Luminae reservations? We sail Sunday and have not received an email from the Concierge so not sure if we need to call. We had a call from a young man over a month ago and he asked questions like beds together etc. I can't remember what all he asked actually because it was a while ago.
  4. We are sailing on our first Celebrity Constellation cruise next Sunday in a Sky Suite. We're Pinnacle on Royal. Will we get an email from the Concierge at any point prior to boarding regarding the Retreat benefits? The only thing we really need is wheelchair assistance to board but I'm sure we can ask when we get to the port if we never hear anything.
  5. I actually got another one! I will call the number on the card and see if I can use it on an upcoming cruise. The manager at Bofa was insistent that it was not something they would put out and a scam but he's not with Royal so if this works I will inform him next time I'm in the bank. Thank you for the info. I like $100!!
  6. I got the exact email and it was for $100 and no expiration date. I took it to Bank of America and they saiid it was a complete scam. I threw it away
  7. We're sailing out of the Port of Tampa on the 30th and renting a mobility scooter. Both Scootaround and Special Needs say they leave the scooter in the cabin. We sailed out of Tampa in October and rented with Scootaround and we picked it up outside the terminal. Do we need to request wheelchair assistance or can we just ask at the terminal.
  8. If you want to book things for the cabin such as water or other things or dining packages, check on holidays because they often reduce the price of those purchases. President's day is coming so check the price before and then for the "sale"
  9. Agree with your husband. One and done. It was very warm upstairs also and I was afraid I'd fall over the railing or down the stairs in he dark at night. Did have a great shower but that's all I can say that was good.
  10. I love HAL and you will not be disappointed. The ships are much smaller and more intimate. I wouldn't hesitate to sail on HAL. We're also not happy with the amusement parks fo the seas. I know all lines are going that way but there are other options.
  11. The website for the Port Of Tampa has updates. Last one at 11am indicates they are still in the assessment stage. They said they will update as they progress and let you know when the port will be open to traffic. Doesn't sound like they've found anything major destruction wise BUT they have no power at this time,
  12. Thank you! Waiting for customer service for 45 minutes and gave up!!
  13. Do the retreat amenities include Wi-Fi, premium drink packages, Luminae, specialty restaurants? Looking to book a sky suite. Are they the same on all ships? I do know some ships have the pool and sun deck and others don’t. Thanks
  14. Me too. It was $200 less than yesterday. Cruise planner was very very glitchy but I was bound and determined to get that rate. After I did, I looked and the rate increased to the same price as yesterday. Also couldn't see excursions, drink packages or any other options. Gave a response that they're working on great things,, or something like that.
  15. 😂 My father had a razor strap and it hung on a hook on the back of the bathroom door. We all knew what it was for and I experienced it only once... not fun!! Kept us all in line though.😇 PS he would snap it if we were out of hand and that was enough of a deterrent !
  16. I will. I've enjoyed talking with him, he's a wealth of knowledge! The GeoBlue was the annual plan he does sell. I really don't need the cancellation and all the other stuff on the comprehensive plans. I think we're probably just fine also..hopefully. Just overthinking things!
  17. Thank you. Good info. We have GeoBlue Trekker Choice and there is a pre ex waiver on that and we've had it since 2016. Being as we're older we have $100,000 coverage. Just wanted to see if I can add more. The most Allianz gives is $50,000 but it covers a lot of things we don't even need so that's eliminated. We have primary insurance with Medicare supplemental and that has $50,000. We do take the Royal Caribbean insurance also for cancelation plus it gives $25,000 medical. Have an EA policy through AAA for evacuation purposes. Probably sufficiently insured and will just pass on Allianz. I know Steve from the Trip Insurance Store and I do think he sells annual policies.
  18. Looking at Allianze annual policy and I see it does have Pre X conditions and I would think this would be waived with an annual policy? How can I get the waiver.? I have other insurance but want to just add more as my age is pretty advanced but I'm in good enough health to travel.
  19. Also if your husband has a non suite cabin he may not have access to the Suite Lounge if the Concierge is a by the rules only kind of person.
  20. My grandchildren always had the soda package and it was well worth it since they loved getting the cup and the soda machines. You can find free ice cream in the WJ.
  21. Yes you can do that but you can't take it off the ship. Problem we've had is that it takes forever to get wheelchair assistance leaving the ship. Ports like Tampa and Port Canaveral allow you to pick up the scooter at the entrance to the terminal and return it there when you leave. Much prefer the ports that let you board with the scooter and leave with it, no waiting.
  22. We've used Scootaround and their scooters have been clean and functional. One thing at Anthem port in NJ, The scooter will be in your cabin which means you will need wheelchair assistance boarding and also leaving the ship. Boarding is fine, just ask and you will be directed to where you can check in and then taken onboard with the wheelchair. Leaving the scooter in your cabin when you leave the ship means you have to get to the disembarkation area to wait for a wheelchair to get you to the luggage and out the door to whatever transportation you need to leave. Not user friendly as far as leaving the ship is concerned if you have mobility problems.
  23. We also just need the Medical Insurance and have used GeoBlue Treker which is an annual policy with excellent coverage. They also do individual if you don't want annual. There's a forum on cruise critic boards with a lot of info on cruise insurance an options.
  24. Thank you! I will keep my eyes open!
  25. I can't find it on this thread but do you know when the 7 day Caribbean cruises for 2025 open for booking?
