  1. Yes! I recently noticed this too and made a thread about it here on CC. Apparently they removed those two screens this year. So now when I do a mock booking I compute the insurance myself and will just look at the transfer prices in the Personalizer later.
  2. Yes how are you able to cancel your booking yourself? I'd love to know as well. So when it is late night off hours there is a way to cancel it in your Personalizer?
  3. Well it says bookings made as of November 15th so that would seem to be new bookings. Maybe they meant any Princess purchases made as of yesterday.
  4. Oh thank you! So it worked for a payment on an already booked cruise. That's a good sign.
  5. I'm still wondering about the "excludes cruise personalizer" and "excludes if not booked at time of reservation" for excursions...these are the kinds of things I hope the promo would apply to since it requires a single purchase of at least $700. Deposits right now are $250 per cabin when making a new booking.
  6. Thank you, so it's been moved to the Personalizer then. I will miss being able to see the insurance amounts when booking, guess I'll have to dig out my calculator and compute it myself LOL.
  7. I haven't booked a cruise yet this year, the last time was Fall 2022, and I just did a mock booking for a summer 2024 cruise...where are the options to add cruise transfers and insurance? Once I log in it propagates my name and info, I add my cabin companion, then it used to go to the add transfers screen, then to the add standard or platinum insurance screen. Now it just goes straight from our names to the pay your deposit and book screen. When did they change this? So if I want to book with insurance do I have to add it in later in the Personalizer?
  8. If you call room service from your cabin phone will you still be charged the $14.99 Ocean Now fee?
  9. Thank you so much for posting this! I just added it to my Amex Blue Cash card. In reading through the terms I see it must be a "booking" purchase of $700 or more, which normally the deposit on a booking isn't that high. Even though we book multiple cabins they usually charge the cabin deposits individually and this says it must be a "single" purchase so I'm wondering how I can get the cash back. It also says it excludes any onboard purchases and "cruise personalizer" (weird) and also excludes "if not booked at the time of reservation" excursions, "MedallionClass" which I assume is Plus or Premier upgrades, etc. Why can't they just make it simple and let us get the cash back with any Princess purchase of that amount, as in when we make cruise payments, add excursions, etc.? I can see this will be a tricky one to get but would be worth it. If anyone uses it successfully please update us here 🙂
  10. Ah thank you! I see this started yesterday (must have posted after I looked) and goes through November 30th. Unfortunately the 2024 Alaska cruise we want doesn't seem to be part of this promo which is a bummer. We could have used the 3rd and 4th passenger sail free.
  11. LOL thanks for that. Was hoping some of our CCer's with travel agent knowledge would know.
  12. I see that the current "extended" Princess promo (half off deposit and fares) ends November 20th so does anyone know if there will be a Black Friday sale next week? And if so, a hint of what to expect?
  13. Those suites are right below the pool deck so probably the towel carts or something. I was looking at those PH suites on Crown until I saw they are under the Lido deck.
  14. Wow that is horrible! I would be upset too, spending all that money for a balcony and not being able to use it. Cigarette and cigar smoke make me nauseous. And all because those lazy entitled smokers next to you refused to walk to the designated smoking areas. Princess needs to enforce their own policy and prevent this from happening again, not to mention the fire hazard.
  15. Oh that's a great solution! Have a wonderful time 🙂
  16. OMG thank you for sharing these! I have been trying to convince my daughter that it would be awesome to get married on a Princess ship. Which ship was this and where was the ceremony held (wedding chapel, bar area, etc.)? Did you have a coordinator onboard to help things run smoothly?
  17. I would do a mini suite for brother and parents, that gives him a nice sized sofa bed and his own TV, and a curtain that separates the two bed areas for privacy if needed. Also a tub shower for your parents which would be nice and perhaps easier for them to use. Then you and your sisters could do a smaller/cheaper balcony cabin. It's nice that on the Royal class ships you can have those two cabin types together on the same deck.
  18. The 3rd/4th person sails free promo isn't on our cruise anymore, even though it was supposedly good through Sept. 30th. I noticed a week or so ago that the regular fare reappeared for the third and fourth passengers in a cabin. So it seems like it now only applies to certain cruises.
  19. Was considering booking one of these on Sun but went with regular balcony cabins for now. The cove ones do look unique in being closer to the water, wonder if the lifeboats above would make noise when swinging around (and of course would hear when they are being used for tendering and safety drills). On Sun these cabins are on deck 6 so mid or midaft would be best so not underneath the theater on deck 7 forward.
  20. Wow Princess wouldn't swap out a passenger because of a justified reason? Did you have the Princess insurance by any chance? I could see this happening to us and would not be happy either.
  21. I got the mailer too and checked our 2024 Med cruise but this promo isn't listed on it. Would have been nice, if our fare hadn't gone up $200pp.
  22. Thank you for this info, you just never know when something could happen and it's good to know that it was a painless procedure to get the FCC credited. We always do the Platinum insurance (at Standard price as Elite so a great deal) with CFAR so glad to hear that it's fast and easy.
  23. I will be highly annoyed if they start charging for the cookies. In the afternoons we always get a plate of them at the IC or in the buffet.
  24. Yes it is a radical change from what it used to be! Makes me sad. One of my friends literally just asked me this morning to help her book a cruise (I love to normally) and I was like as long as you need only one cabin and then I can book it online for you...no way I'm calling in again anytime soon!
