  1. So I called back this morning, with a cruise in 2022 chosen to move my deposit to. I didn't even end up needing to do that. The agent I spoke with gave me the full deposit $750 as a Future Cruise Credit without my even asking for it. Refunded what we had already paid. I'm not really a fan of "I didn't get the answer I wanted, so I'm going to call again until I do," but it seemed to work out in this case.
  2. Okay, I can change to something else for next year. We love Royal, we love cruising....just didn't work out this year.
  3. I really wish they would. My final payment date is Saturday. My cruise is Alaska out of Seattle for June 19. At this point, they haven't cancelled these cruises yet...but they aren't going to be able to sail because the Canadian ports are closed. I don't want to pay thousands of dollars toward something that isn't going to happen and have that tied up in a Future Cruise Credit. Sigh... I think we are canceling. When I spoke with Royal today, they told me that I would have a $300 penalty for canceling and the rest of my deposit would be a future cruise credit. Anything I've paid toward m
  4. We have a cruise booked for June 19, 2020 for Ovation out of Seattle. Until the Canadian ports closed, I was willing to stick it out with the Cruise with Confidence thing, but at this point, I just can't see how this cruise would happen. Our final payment day is March 21. We had a $750 non-refundable deposit and had paid $2,000 against the balance already. When I called today to cancel, the person at first tried to give me the entire $2,750 as future cruise credit. I nicely said that wasn't what I was looking for. I was hoping for my $750 deposit to be future cruise credit and $2,000 ref
  5. We have an Alaskan cruise booked for June 19th out of Seattle. Even a few days ago, I was willing to pay my balance (final payment March 21) and wait and see how things played out. With Canada closing their ports, it doesn't seem to make sense to do that any longer. Is my best bet to call Royal to cancel? If I do that, I think I should get my deposit as a FCC and then a refund for the balance that I paid. Is that right?
  6. Thank you so much! Really looking forward to it! Our last few cruises have been bigger ships, so I"m looking forward to the size of Summit!
  7. Hi there, I have a couple of embarkation day questions that I'm hoping someone more familiar with Celebrity could answer for me: 1. My boarding documents list 2:00 pm as the time to be at the ship. I would prefer to go earlier, since we will be checking out of our hotel by 11:00. Is it a problem to go earlier than the assigned check in time? 2. What time are cabins usually ready on Celebrity? I would prefer to take my luggage (one suitcase and one carry-on) with me if the cabins will open up by 1:00 or so. If it matters, I am sailing in an
  8. Our flight out of San Juan does not depart until 3:45. I would love to explore Old San Juan, instead of sitting at the airport. What do you do with your luggage while touring, though?
  9. Thank you for the beautiful photos and entertaining review! I hadn't really considered this itinerary before, but after reading your review, I think I would like it!
  10. I"m glad so many were able to take advantage! Because it is my habit to check prices everyday, I scored a second price reduction this morning--an additional $200+ off. I think that my cabin category is going to sell out fairly soon, so I'll be glad of the price drops while I can get them.
  11. I just received another $200+ price drop on my Alaskan cruise for next June. Have had about $800 in price drops all together---check your prices! It might be worth your while!
