SAS will do pick up day of cruise from select FLL area hotels listed on their website. We've also had them drop off day before at POM area hotels, but that service may be limited.

My Chase has 15% offer. Figures we just paid off our upcoming cruise. Does this include excursions and drink pkg? It doesn't specifically state in the fine print.

From experience... Try to go day ahead. October is still Hurricane season. This past November our flights from the northeast were cancelled in advance of our cruise. We actually tried to change flights to 3 days ahead but that was also cancelled. Mother nature happens. This is the third time out of nearly 20 cruises something similar happened due to weather. But we still love fall cruising.

Have sailed Horizon twice. Nov 21 and Dec 22. Loved it and no issues.

got to this party after it was over.... binge reading as I type this. As always, another enjoyable Greg writeup. Not sure when we will be on another cruise so this will have to keep me sated in the meantime. Since retiring we are planning to travel in Europe vs cruising for the foreseeable future.

We were on same sailing as OP. To answer about music: there are many options for live music. A rock band plays in Pig n Anchor, guitar soloists alternate between Latitudes and Golden Jubilee bars (both are good!), Latin band in Havana bar and String Quartet in rotating venues. I may have missed others, but that's the ones we saw.

Was also on this sailing. We generally thought food was good. Exception: ChiBangs. We only tried the Asian selections, so can't comment on Mexican options. Emerils was wonderful and well worth the small upcharge. Alchemy is not well situated in our opinion and was always so crowded. We had dinner 3 nights at Cucina and thought it was very good. Ship is huge. Wear comfortable shoes. we had a forward balcony on 10. I found the light breakfast at P&A quick and not overly crowded.... But it was 705 steps from cabin to P&A according to my app. We did stairs as much as possible, tho elevators were accessible without much waiting. Once again I thought debarkation was a mess once out of the terminal. With nearly 6000 ppl getting transport, rides, etc all within a 2 hour time span is an issue; and 5 other ships in port makes me rethink sailing from Miami again.

I agree anything before noon is questionable. We sailed from PC past April. MCO was packed with ppl coming and going. Weather delays had ppl sleeping on piles of luggage, kids crying everywhere. Carnival shuttle bus was having mechanical issues. MCO is just so busy with theme park vacationers. I'm not sure ill sail from PC again.

Street Eats closed due to staffing? I'll be quite disappointed if that happens n a couple weeks when we sail

You select time when you do final online Check in 14 day before sail date. Diamond/Platinum/suites and wedding parties have first choice.
