  1. As others have noted there are options - here's three more: rent a car at the pier, use it all day then drop it at the airport when you're leaving; arrange a tour that will pick you up at the pier, sightsee all day then drop you back at the airport (or just arrange a car and driver, same thing); Ship it to yourself - the post office, Fedex/UPS/delivery companies. May be more expensive/complicated since you're shipping internationally (US to Canada), but we've done this a couple of times at the end of a trip with things we've bought along the way. Not likely, but also see if the airlines has an office in the city where you could check in. I don't think any airlines do that in the US, but I've seen that in Asia and in Europe and it simplifies things.
  2. We first sailed Celebrity over twenty years ago (!) and we were impressed they even at that point they had a separate vegetarian menu in the main dining room. They've always seemed to be ahead of other cruise lines on providing nice thoughtful veggie options (not just a pasta, for example). We haven't sailed Carnival but Princess, RC, HAL and NCL and they all seem to have just a few token options. We're on Apex for the Nov 5th Transatlantic and we plan to try the veggie tasting menu in Eden for sure!
  3. [ON EDIT] never mind, realized we're talking about the Eclipse, and when I look at specific photos of her from the rear, it looks as if the window-washing equipment is stored behind the balcony cabins so as not to obstruct their views. Good design, Celebrity! Going solely from memory and not currently looking at pictures of the particular ship(s), aren't the window-washing units stored in front of the most rearward forward-facing slant cabins? Cabins 1194 and 1401 on the deckplans shown earlier? I seem to recall a cruise on Celebrity years ago where we noticed that when we looked at the ship from the outside and I've just avoided booking those cabins since then. I believe the machinery retracts up, so it would only impact the top two or three decks in that stack (except when they are deployed but then they're moving along the side of the ship).
