  1. Oops I was trying to say a shower line over the tub.
  2. Yes there are shower lines.
  3. Thank you for the information.
  4. We will be on a sea day just after leaving Singapore. Wonder if they will have it on the Explorer Monday morning around 7 am. ??
  5. I always take a 3ft extension cord and never have had a problem.
  6. Our 1st cruise on the Explorer we did a G-2 cabin. Nothing wrong with it. Just a few SQ FT smaller than expected. Friends were in a F-2 cabin so we got to see it. Very impressed. Really like the bed looking at the Veranda. So since then on the newer ships we have booked F-2 cabins. Now on the Mariner or Voyager we always try to get a H cabin. Navigator G starboard side.
  7. No you do not have to accept them, But you may be told you have to pay extra. Here is what I always do. I do my homework and try and find at least 4 flights I would like to request in order of preference, both going and returning. Then I send it to my TA who works with Regent Air. I almost always get my 1st or 2nd choice. Or sometimes I have received a better schedule because I am not aware of a particular airline they may use that I don't know about or look at. Yes you can use Regent Air and fly in early or fly our later. BUT there are deviation fees you will have to pay, as well as you are on your own at the airports. They will not have someone there to pick you up or take you to the airport.
  8. Sweet Sugar NL Are you talking about the 11/13/2023 Splendor cruise Barcelona to Miami? Also have you looked at the Regent "roll call" here on Cruise Critic?
  9. Years ago on the Mariner Chef Tobias took us on a galley tour that ended up extended and we got to go below where the large coolers, freezers, and storage areas were. Deck 2 & 3. Now that was really really neat. Course they don't do that anymore. I believe you need to go to Destination service and ask about galley tours. They might allow bridge tours while we are on our seas days. Guess you can ask and find out.
  10. Wanted to point out one thing. Coarse your corporate cruise may be set up differently, but normally Regent has a list of excursions you can pick from at each port that are included. Not always but in some ports they also have excursions you can may extra for. The price on those are normally for up to 5 people going on the excursion. And yes you can use your own board credit to pay for those. Regent does not require you to tip on board. But it is up to you to tip your off ship tour guides as they are not employees of Regent.
  11. Very difficult to compare Regent with anyone other than Silver Seas, and Seabourn, and that is also tough to do. Every other cruise line operate differently. Regent is all inclusive. The price shows all inclusive, but does allow you to either not use the Regent air and get a price reduction for that. On international flights it shows business class, but a new twist allows you to pick premium economy and price reduction if you wish. Oceania's 3 newer ships are close to Regent ships size, other than Navigator. they offer economy air, but you have to pay extra for excursions, premium booze packages, tips. Booking a Regent cruise shortly after it shows up is really important to do right away. It is different on Regent. The lower tier cabins are basically the same, They just cost more the higher deck you are on. This is why they sell out so fast if you would like to save a little on the cabin price.
  12. Thank you everyone. Done all the forms, and filled out all the paperwork. Just waiting to head to Memphis September 12th! 7 of us going.
  13. Interesting. We had to get a $150.00 visa 01/09/2007 when we cruised on the Mariner. Did say it was good for 10 years at that time.
  14. Have 7 of us on the Sept 13th, 2023 Memphis to Nashville cruise. Can anyone who has been on this cruise tell me a little about it? And is there anyone on CC going on this cruise with us? Since there is no roll call for this cruise line I thought I would start one here. Jim B
  15. How everyone has explained the optional formal night are correct. One thing I just wanted to mention is that after 6 pm, obviously no shorts, denim, T-shirts. Also men are suppose to wear a collared shirt after 6 pm. And yes I have seen men told to go back and change their shirt, and twice were allowed to enter, but explained the rule for future reference.
  16. I agree with RELS! That also are my feelings. Wow Jane Mitchell. Boy have you been deprived. No that is not a good description. Oh and I like raisins, but not in my rolls. Think it is more of a texture thing, than the raisins.
  17. I really really like Regent, and have been on a number of cruises and have 5 booked. One thing that bugs me is I can not get a decent roll in the morning for breakfast. What they have are dry, flaky, with some type of fruit on them. COME ON!! Lets have a nice large cinnamon roll, or Carmel roll. Even a sticky bun, ( Oceania has them), so why can't Regent. Real unhealthy I know, but boy it sure would be nice. Oh! And we should be able to get a BLT sandwich at lunch time at the pool grill or Compass Rose everyday.
  18. Thank you very much for letting me know. Very much appreciate it.
  19. Guess I am a little out of the loop. So what is Starlink going to improve on the ship? Things like TV channels, wi-fi ?
  20. Yes we were fortunate to cruise on the Paul Gauguin & Diamond. In fact we were on the same PG cruise with Dolebludger when they still lived in OK. We were on the 2nd to last Southern Caribbean cruise on the Diamond before Captain Neil was taking it to Hong Kong. Only problem we had with the ship was a number of electrical outages. Of course most of them happened during the nightly performances. Sure got awful dark for a few seconds until the emergency lights came on.
  21. I have experienced that before, and found if you sometimes go to the RSSC web site and just pretend you are an outsider and go to Find a cruise, then click on the ports of call it will allow you to see what might be the tours available . Don't sign in.
  22. Just remember your personal hairdryer might not work aboard the ship. Seems to me that the plug in is different than USA plug in.
