  1. Thanks! Watched a video on the Downy spray. Thinking we will give it a go.
  2. If I ask my room steward, will there be an iron available for me to use for a half hour?
  3. No, we never leave anything outside. Purposely purchased wall magnets for stateroom to put our hanging extras. Thanks for advice on the drier & blankets!
  4. Are these items provided onboard? Sailing on the Adventure next week to New England & would love a blanket for the balcony. If so, where can we find it? We sailed NCL last couple years & blankets were available on the pool deck. Thanks in advance!
  5. I mock booked for my own family of 4 for 2020 & it was actually reasonable. Under $3500. It's that the other 2 families coming with us have 3 kids apiece, half of which will be over 12, hence driving up the price booking 4 rooms (actually what we need) to 6 rooms.
  6. In-laws trusting me to book a 2021 Med. cruise out of Civitavecchia. I am new to MSC but always see awesome pricing for kids. Itineraries for that embarkation port not yet out, but wondering on room logistics. We need as follows: 1 room, 2 adults 2 rooms (2 families of 5) 1 room, family of 4 *priced out the Epic for July 2021, they told me the two families of 5 had to be in 2 rooms...total cost was $35,000 approx for all 16 of us. Father in law footing the bill and trying to do this in most economical way possible. All I know is we have to be out of Rome, and for July 2021. Anyone book with a larger group on MSC? Help! I have a headache already.
  7. Not purchasing any internet. Don't want to use data. Will Royal app work without being connected?
  8. No...you are all right in your own way. I see pros & cons of both prepay & postpay. Just wasn't sure on protocol with RCCL as of lately. Prepaying not new to me, since last 2 years we sailed NCL & had prepaid to lock in lower price as others mentioned. But I see value either way...preference & what each is comfortable with.
  9. Thanks to all of you for your replies. We sail in a month. I phoned Royal after reading your many opinions & prepaid the grats. I had already purchased travel insurance awhile back. Thanks again!
  10. Last time we sailed with Royal, we had the old school "envelope" system. Our past few cruises on NCL were all the prepaid gratuity system. So what do most of you do? I am tempted to prepay and get it over with on one hand, but then don't want to give the cruise line my money ahead of time on the other hand. Thoughts?
  11. yes - this tour now appearing on my planner as well...over $100 per person...yikes!
  12. Hubby and I just don't drink enough to make the drink package worth our while - - - even with the conveniences that come with it. 2-3 drinks a day each is nowhere near making it worth it. Sooooo...on a past Carnival Cruise, we had purchased a wine package (3 bottles of wine for a 5-night cruise). Just wondering if Royal offers anything like this as of current, as we have not sailed Royal since our honeymoon in 2005. Thanks in advance for any info!
  13. thanks for the replies - we are not Diamond members, thus are willing to pay for the tour - just wondering what is offered in terms of behind the scenes tours while onboard, other than the galley brunch which I see in the cruise planner - - - we have children, ages 9 and 11 who would love to do some of those behind the scenes stuff
  14. Sailing in August on the Adventure & wondering if other than the galley brunch, the ship offers any type of tour of the ship? I realize there may be a fee, but wondered if this becomes available once onboard, as there is nothing like that available for booking in the cruise planner.
  15. We will be onboard this August. A couple questions 1. What are the perks for booking a cruise while onboard? 2. Will Europe 2021 itineraries be out by then? Thank you in advance 🙂
