If it's windy is there any shade other than using an umbrella?

I live about 30 minutes from Philly across the bridge. NYC is not much safer then Philly these days. But if you are not going to cruise around town or stay in a hotel then it really does not matter how safe it is. You will be at the port boarding the ship not walking around the drug alleys.

Do they have ANY fish at Moderno? Party of 4 and all of us like meat except for hubby. He is a fish eater. We want to this restaurant but not sure unless there's some fish on the menu.

I want to buy passes to the Vibe and or the spa for a Christmas gift for my son and his girlfriend. If something comes up and they can't go on the cruise for any reason will NCL refund or let us cancel those passes?

So what areas of the Getaway is designated for smokers....any other than the casino?

We want to try the new ship NCL Aqua leaving NYC with end of August and September dates to Bermuda. Being that Bermuda is the only port destination we hesitate and don't want to lose the only port we will have due to a storm. How bad are the seas for this route in September and or risk of a Hurricane?

We are about to go on a cruise with my son and his girlfriend on Sunday. I want to gift them 2 extra specialty restaurants. I remember years ago there was an area on NCL site that you could order gifts for passengers. Do they not have that anymore?...I looked but did not find anything. How would I be able to order these extras for my son?

We used to put ourselves on a "bump list" whenever we flew....we got free first class seats for 5 flights to California from the east coast by doing that. It was awesome. Cruise lines should offer the same.

At&T also as a plan for texting and calling home while "at sea". I paid $100 for it...it only works at sea. Then I got the International plan for on land which was $10. However, now that I know about the Iphone to Iphone free texting land and sea, ship and for to text those at home.......I don't really need this At&T package.

OMG! Can they get any cheaper with this stuff? That's pitiful! I'd rather have the 2 whole then sliced to make it look like more.

My brother took me to a nudist beach in California years ago. I told him I would not partake but he was free to do so if he wanted. Out of respect for me it opted out but still wanted to show me the beach. I sat there fully clothed and a nude guy walked over and asked me if I was cold.....I said, "No, are you hot?" LOL I'm pretty sure it made him uncomfortable that I was dressed and he was being sarcastic. I think the only reason my brother took me there was to see my reaction.

I did a search but could not find anything for this. We are in a suite and we just got our luggage tags yesterday. It came with a letter. My son and his girlfriend are in a balcony...not a suite but their luggage tags never came. How do they get their tags. I can't remember how we got our's last time we were in a balcony not a suite. Will they get them in the mail or do they have to print them out? Thanks

We are in a non haven Penthouse suite deck 14....were these refurbished too?

That's easy enough to solve....just turn the hot water on and rinse the spout off a few times...done!

They did try on the Prima last May but we went to the MDR anyway...much more relaxing for a first day on the ship.

And according to this on the Joy they DID NOT create a smoking lounge next to the cigar lounge like someone posted.

On all the other ships, yes that is true, but not on the Joy. They removed those perks ONLY on the Joy. Don't ask me why but they did. When I first booked it I watched a travel agents promo for this suite on YouTube and it included many perks....then I Iearn here on Cruise Critic that they took most of them away about a year ago or so. Boo!

Why not get a "non Haven" Penhouse that does not have any special perks that other cannot join you in. We booked a very nice SC Penthouse on the Joy...it's not Haven. We don't have to choose what to do with my son and his girlfriend who will be in a balcony because they can do what we can do and go to the same places. You still have a nice cabin just no Haven perks.

So they are now getting away with not giving us a "free show" to replace the one they took away and giving us another thing to pay for that holds little to no entertainment value if you don't buy into it....and in the end having you walk out saying to yourself "why did I do this?" LOL I did go to the Price is Right on the Prima and the Deal or No Deal....it passed the time and I spent some money but I would have rather watched a good show instead. I think the cruise lines are making up for lost money during Covid.

If there is a private room that is vented for smokers....how does that impact YOU??? Why is it so important for there to be "no smoking" at all??? Please tell, I'll wait!
