  1. We found both restaurants excellent, but the foods we chose were the best to our liking at Eden. Both restaurants had extremely loud music during some dinner times. We tried to plan our time and where we sat to stay away from the loudest times in each venue. We had one meal in Eden that we had to leave mid meal and have it delivered to our room. The music was so loud we couldn’t even place our order or speak to each other. The musicians were great, but not good playing through the speakers so loud directly into the dining area. We don’t have hearing issues, plus we noticed two other couples in our area just decided to leave, shouting to each other they’d have dessert elsewhere. Both restaurants do have delicious food. (Luminae is also great, but overall no match for those two.) Look at the menus and see which fits your style of food best. And I now take earplugs along for the “just in case”.
  2. It’s good to just keep partially draining and refilling with hot water as it cools. It’s a great thing about Royal, Penthouse and on Reflection, Signature suites.
  3. it was free in the past when we were in a suite and flying first class.
  4. Seems the same to me. Our butlers have been good to keep things stocked in upper suite and sky suite (on request) on the edge ship.
  5. I don’t know for certain, but October has been mentioned. The ship is beautiful. It’ll be a nice refresh.
  6. Perfect for the Edge villas. I hope they don’t go away with the October refresh.
  7. Wow! You will love the edge villa! The views are unbelievable and the rooms are super pretty. you will have two bottles of your choice of alcohol in the cabin, as well as water, beers and soft drinks in the cabin. The retreat lounge and retreat bar are close to you. You will have all of the restaurants included. I don’t know for sure about the tips, but I think it is correct that is for the difference in gratuities.
  8. Aqua won’t have the retreat access. Also, I made an error about the time the retreat lounge is open. It opens from 7am to midnight on the Edge.
  9. Upper suites have the lavazza coffee makers. The suite retreat has coffee makers available any time.
  10. No reservations for evening shows. Just.go to the theater and find a seat.
  11. We are in one of the suites that include all specialty restaurants.
  12. On edge now. We have all specialty restaurants included. All have been excellent. A slight exception for the food on rooftop grill. It wasn’t as good as our last cruise on silhouette, but it was still very good, the staff and the ambiance fabulous. We enjoyed a table close to the ocean, but it would depend on the time and where the sun was setting.
  13. Both restaurants, Fine Cut and Raw on Five have great food and generous portions. The staff in each restaurant were amazing. Not everything at Raw on five is raw, so everyone will like sly find something they enjoy.
  14. Both menus are the same. The tasting menu gives you smaller portions also you can taste more items. You can order several of each appetizer and main entree as well. They were very accommodating to everyone’s needs. As others mentioned, no wine tasting needed and the price will just be the regular dining cost. The food was excellent.
  15. You can pick up the aluminum bottles on the way off the ship or any of the bars or coffee shops. The water seems to have a bit of metal/aluminum taste, but not bad when cold. if you bring your own to pour from the glass water bottles, that would work too.
  16. If you have an upper suite, they probably can board with you. We had a top suite and they asked us if we wanted the other two in our party to board with us. We did not ask for it, and they were prepared to go the the general boarding aqua line at their chose /assigned boarding time. We had our reservations linked so if there were extra fees for things, they would go to our account. That could be why, but I doubt it because it was the people outside the suite entrance in Miami that suggested they board with us. BTW, no other suites were available at the time we gifted their booking. They did not eat with us in Luminae, it wasn’t their thing. And we had all included specialty restaurants, so paid for their meals when we dined several times together. I tho k you have some options, just check, but don’t worry if you need to check in separately, it’s very easy.
  17. We had the same thing for a military fare for an upcoming cruise. We are taking paperwork just in case, but we have sailed with this fare type before and sent in a copy years ago. We have never had to physically show any paperwork in the past and have never seen that on our cover before. Sometimes the fare is worth it, sometimes not. Our former celebrity TA (she was amazing) would add in an extra onboard credit instead of worrying about the special fare.
  18. We are on the Edge soon, too. I’m sorry I don’t know the exact answer to your question, but did have a similar experience on another ship. We booked one specific menu for 4 people because one of the group didn’t care for the items on the opposite menu (only 2 listed 2 years ago). We were not notified of the change until we arrived. It was mentioned the menu had changed. It was not very good food and I was embarrassed to have suggested it was good. I would advise to just check the menu again now and then again once on the day of your meal. The show is still kind of cute either way.
  19. When you get off the ship in Seward, it's possible a person would meet you to rent their car to you. I just looked up and made mock rentals via Turo in Seward and in Anchorage for this person's itinerary, July 7th. I found 3 vehicles available for that time in Seward, and the number of available vehicles changes depending on who is renting their vehicle at the time. In Anchorage, there are at least 50 for that date. You can exchange directly with the owners via the app (so you never have to share your own email info) to ask about drop off and pick up in different cities, if you find one you like. I remember the fee for drop off-return the car to the owner at the airport was a bit more than drop off and pick up at the hotel. I don't know the company, nor anyone who owns any vehicles for rent, so I am not advertising, I just have used it once myself just last year out of Anchorage in August '22. We have found found during certain times of the year when lots of ships are in the ports, the cars are tough to come by (sometime all of the agencies run out of the ones we like for the two+ week fishing and touring time period we usually rent) and the prices are sometimes not reasonable, so I was happy to find this. We did the same thing cw2go did round trip Anchorage before our bus ride to Seward - the train was just too early that time for our drive in from our stay in Soldotna.
  20. We have always rented in Anchorage, but TURO - private vehicle rental - is a way to rent, and once you look it up, you might find someone willing to rent one way. With the cost of gasoline and that amount of time to travel between Anchorage and Seward, there might not be availability, or outrageous prices. We successfully used them last year for a land based stay, but not for a one way.
  21. The first thing posted is this as quoted. Lots of people arriving from a Celebrity ship will want this info!
