You are misinformed. There is no reserved bar.AND one of the poolside bars reserved only for them. -
IMO the only noticeable class distinction on X sailings occurs in ports, where they set up a red-carpeted and velvet-roped priority line reserved for suite passengers and Zenith CC members. A crew member will literally throw out his arm to block "commoners" from reboarding the ship the moment someone sets foot on that carpet.
Really tacky, I think.

We had a brunch on Summit on Dec. 1.
-
With the limited time you have, I would go with option 1.
-
I'll answer to any name Celebrity wants to call me if they give me a few hundred points toward Zenith.
-
Yet another Celebrity cutback! :DHas anyone heard when Celebrity is planning on modifying the mast on the Solstice so it can sail under the Lions Gate Bridge? -
There are several a capella quartets; one or another has been on every recent sailing I can remember. On Summit last week it was "4 Sail."
-
Whoever pushes their way to the front of the line trumps everybody else. Don't count on crew to enforce any "priority" you think you have.
-
Just off Summit. Being Elite Plus was very much like being Elite, except with more Internet minutes and laundry items. Much more than we could use in 7 nights.
The specialty dining coupon was no use to us because we bought the Ultimate dining package, and the coupon is only for single dinners.

I could sign on to this, with the proviso that the cancellers promise to never cruise Celebrity again.I think they should have offered a time period without penalty to cancel those reservations that were after full payment time, if the cruisers wished to cancel because they didn't like the new program. -
We have the same problem on a football forum I participate in: posters who can't be bothered with the official pinned thread at the top of the forum because their opinion is worthy of its own thread. Attempts to redirect them to the pinned topic are met with snarky comments on how THEIR thread is different and deserves to be allowed to stay. Even worse, when the topic is locked they keep restarting it in defiance of the rules and in disrespect for other participants.
A few user bans would cure that.
Happy Thanksgiving.

As I mentioned in another thread, if points are added every day then every passenger on the ship would be entitled to at least Classic level benefits starting the first morning after sailing.
-
And so would those who were thinking about putting down deposits ... :oAnd don't forget that those that hadn't paid in full, but had deposited cruises would now want the same thing. -
Then people would have complained about their past cruises that would have been better under the new system.I'll probably get snapped-at but here goes.If they had thought about it, it would have been possible to give anyone at final payment the better of the change.
That is if you'd get more points under the 30:1 exchange, they'd be scored that way, and if you'd be better off because you are in a Royal Suite or high level cabin, the new system.
No bonus points, just whatever scoring scheme that works to the customers best interest.
Just how I would have done it if I was Mr "X"

Well, someone here once called a 15- or 30-minute change in dinner seating time a "bait-and-switch." It takes all types. :rolleyes:One ungrateful fool in another thread is even calling the new points program a “con”. All this hate, anger and criticism -
But it was inevitable. There is absolutely no way to please everyone.[...] having the rollout leave a bad taste in the mouths of many is sad. -
Where does it stop? Should Celebrity also announce all dinner menu changes 90 days in advance? What if they decide to change the brand of shampoo?
-
I certainly hope that "points for onboard spending" is in the plans. I might make Zenith yet! (I'll never live long enough otherwise lol.)
-
There used to be a poster here who would photograph all the rust spots & other wear & tear he/she could find, but I haven't noticed that in a while.
-
I read on this board that some Martini Bartenders will make smaller versions of the drinks on their menu for Classic package holders, (and presumably pay-by-the-drink types too), but I've never seen it myself.
-
I'd go for the C1 balcony.
-
So everyone who boards their first X cruise becomes entitled to Classic member benefits the next morning?
-
No, you will not be turning Elite halfway through a single cruise. You don't get the points until the cruise is over. With the old and new Captains Club point system we will finally be achieving Elite status about half way through our Iceland/Norwegian Fjord trip next summer. My question is.. do we get the Elite benefits for that cruise.. or do they start on the next?
-
I wouldn't waste a second worrying about priority tender tickets; they're a meaningless perk imo. People go down and shove their way to the front of the line and crew does nothing to stop them.
Yet Another Conversion Puzzle ?
