  1. The Island Princess is our least favorite ship in the fleet due to the butcher job they did to her years ago. With this being said, we are booked on the Island for 54 days in March of 2026. We book for the itinerary, not the ship. Any time we are on any ship we are happy campers!
  2. We will be back onboard the Majestic on Dec 1st for the 51-day, LA to Ft Lauderdale, voyage via South America. I'll be able to confirm more details then.
  3. We were told that most of the dry dock will involve the standard up-dates such as new carpeting, re-painting the hull, replacement of furniture and mechanical updates. The most significant updates from a passengers perspective is the changing of the restaurants.
  4. The Majestic was originally built for the Chinese market and we know what happened with that idea. Now that the Majestic is going to Europe they want it to be in-line with their other ships. We also had a conversation with a very Senior Staff Officer who said that there have been conversations regarding converting the Hollywood Conservatory to a Sanctuary. 🤷‍♂️
  5. The Hollywood Club pool on the Majestic is NOT an adult only pool.
  6. We just disembarked from the Majestic and spent 40 days on the Enchanted in Nov/Dec. Majestic has a Vines wine bar, Enchanted does not. Next March (2025), the Majestic is going to dry dock in Palermo. The Harmony Restaurant is being removed and The Catch will move to that location. A Sabatini's will be installed on Deck 7 in the current Catch location. The Noodle bar will also be replaced with Pizza Slice venue.
  7. They said he is still "creating" art but not constructing art. He is now 82 yrs old and lives in Seattle.
  8. I'm back again, but I promise this is really, really, the last time. We have been in Seattle a number of times over the years, but we had not visited the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum until today. Wow!!! It was amazing and should not be missed! It is right next door to the Space Needle. The following photos do not do the displays justice, but will give you an idea of the beauty of these art pieces. A few of the outdoor displays. And, we returned to Seatown for lunch. It was just as good the second time around! Okay, now we are done... 🤪
  9. Sorry, I'm back. But, only for a moment. After checking into our hotel, we walked down to the Pike Place Market. I had the best Fried Oyster Po'Boy ever! And I have had them all over the US. This was fantastic and I highly recommend "Seatown Rub Shack & FishFry." Debbie had a Salmon Sandwich and we shared Steamed Mussels as an appetizer. Everything was great! Btw, the market was a sea of humanity today. Okay, now I'm really done! 🤣
  10. Well folks, this is a wrap for us! We had a great time and made great new friends. I do not want to sound like a Princess Fan Club, but having cruised with a number of different cruise lines over the past 35 years, the crews on Princess have proven to us to be the most friendly and kind. Kudos to the crews despite the challenges that the pandemic and the corporate cut backs have affected them! They are the reason we stay loyal to the brand. We will now spend 3 nights at the Downtown Seattle Hyatt Regency before flying home to LAX. We will spend one of our days visiting with my cousin and her husband at their home in Issaquah. The next cruise for us will the October 17th, 32-day voyage on the Coral Princess, Singapore to Los Angeles. We will be spending a week in Singapore prior to boarding the ship. This voyage will take us to Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, and Hawaii. ¡Adiós!
  11. Omg, did we get surprised tonight at dinner! Mohammed, the Chef de Cuisine, surprised us with our main course. He prepared fresh halibut from The Catch for us and the Cheesecake Creme Brulee from the Crown Grill for dessert! Delicious!!! This is a fabulous crew! Many tears were shed tonight as we said goodbye! Several friendships were reinforced and many others were made!
  12. Our son, in Northern Idaho, just sent us these photos from last night. He was up until 1 am taking photos.
  13. Tim, we'll be down the hall from you guys. We are in mid-ship Reserve mini on Baja.
  14. Now called Reserve Collection. Princess has dropped using the word "class." You may occasionally see it referred to on pages that have not yet been updated. We know how long it takes them to update all of their information!
  15. The last day of our cruise looks to be a calm sea day. Last night, we were deep into REM stage by the time the Northern Lights appeared 😴. We are fortunate to have seen them many times in the past.
  16. We had a fabulous day in Victoria today! The weather was perfect. We walked from the ship to downtown, about a 30 minute stroll. Once we arrived downtown, I checked Uber for the fare to Butchart Gardens. It was $48 USD one way! Having been there years ago, we decided to stay in town. We walked all over town, including their small Chinatown. We had a great lunch at Nautical Nellie's Steak & Seafood House on Wharf St. We had raw oysters and Lobster quesadillas. Delicious!!! We highly recommend this restaurant. Then we strolled back to the ship after a full day in town. On our way back, we walked past momma & daddy Honkers and their gaggle of babies! More photos in the following post...
  17. The quiet, calm environment of breakfast in the Harmony Restaurant was quite different this morning. There is now a family group of 12 and another family group of 8 in the dining room. There are 8 young kids within the two groups. The scene this morning was quite the "Ship Show!" We felt sorry for the poor servers. I think we probably should have disembarked in Vancouver. No more short legs in our future cruises! Off now to explore Victoria and the gardens...
