This could be a “Cruise Line Charter”, then to max out profits the ship allows Excellence to sell slots to Sandals (on their behalf) to take up any shortfall in their profits. You are correct about being crammed on, because maximum pax equals maximum profits. That is why Xtreme is a much better option.
Suggest contacting Lawrence - http://www.lawrenceofantigua.com - as he may have options for a land tour with a sea visit.
Thanks. Not interested in a land tour. Hours of driving around in a van or bus is not how I want to spend my precious little time in the Caribbean.

Sadly, the only ‘similar’ is Excellence, but they also depart at 09.00
They're an option to book through the cruise line, so they can't possibly depart at 9. But reviews say they're a party boat with people crammed on, and they stop at Sandals as well to pick up more people. I don't know how accurate that is but it sounds odd that a cruise line excursion would pick up hotel guests.

Hello, I was all set to book one of the tours offered by Adventure Antigua but our ship arrives at 9am and they said that's too late for all of their tours. I'd like to know which other tour companies offer the same type of boat tour with a later departure time. Ideally there would be some snorkeling, a visit to Hell's Gate, a brief stop at a beach, and the Pillars of Hercules. Not interested in a party boat or booze cruise, and I don't care about lunch or food being offered.

I am looking for tours in Martinique that include snorkeling at the bat cave. The cruise line offers this, but the time I prefer is sold out. I'd love to book a tour outside the cruise line, but I cannot find anything that seems to match. There are plenty of snorkeling tours offered, but none (that I have found) mention this specific area. Has anyone booked a snorkeling excursion outside of their cruise line that specifically visits this area of Martinique? Thank you.

Thoroughly disgusted by Royal Caribbean's latest decision not to require vaccinations. Just curious how many people Royal can expect to cancel their cruises in the near future if the this dangerous policy stays in place.
Jonathan
I will not book Royal again, and I will let anyone and everyone who is anyone at Royal Caribbean know why. I am also insisting on a refund for all of the FCC I have accumulated, and will dispute credit card charges if they refuse. I will get my money back one way or another.

I spoke with Royal yesterday evening and they told me that numerous tickets have been submitted to IT to correct this issue. I was told it may take up to a week to fix.
That's better than what I was told. I called and was told my sailing (that I had booked 15 minutes earlier) had been cancelled. The phone rep was insistent that it had been cancelled. Then after talking to someone else he said Cruise Planner would be open to start booking excursions on Saturday. 🤦🏻♀️

I live in Florida, so apparently my choices are to be on a ship with people who have been in the area with “those statistics” or go to Wal Mart and Publix and Home Depot with people who live in the area with “those statistics”. With all of the procedures being put into place by the cruise lines and the absolute importance to the future of the industry that those procedures be adhered to, I think my chances of staying healthy would be better on a ship. This reminds me of my sister from Virginia, whose DIL is an ER physician. She is fine with being around the daughter-in-law, son, and grandchildren in their home for eight hours at a time, but after they vacationed in Florida for four days, my sister would not go to their home for two weeks. ER is fine, but Florida has cooties?
If a trip to Walmart/Publix/Home Depot lasts as long as a cruise, you're doing it wrong. I cannot any more with these people who compare a vacation to a trip to Walmart. What the hell kind of vacations do you people take??? My vacations are NOTHING LIKE WALMART! Good lord, find a new travel agent, people.

Adventure on Course
Guests can vacation as planned with previously announced cruises departing as of April 2021.
Are we all understanding this to mean they are suspending all sailings until April 2021? The paragraph goes on to describe sailings on all the other ships in the fleet post April 2021.

A lot of people seem to say to wait and compare the menus. Do the specialty restaurants not book up very quickly?
On our sailing on Symphony, Wonderland was fully booked by the first night.

Thank you for reading and commenting!
I sure wouldn't mind being in the alcohol sales business right now!

@Grenouille21 Any joke that has to be explained is a fail, unfortunately.
You are planning "...learning...for 1st grade students." I always planned learning when I myself was the student.
CoVid-19 desperation humor.
Hey, you tried!! Some days I just can't find enough brain cells willing to work together to attempt humor.
2 more days of whatever you want to call this thing that used to be called school, then 3 months of being home with my kids with no camp, no travel, nowhere to go... send wine!!!

You will receive an email, but your TA can look for it in the TA portal. It won't show up there until it has been issued, but they can check for it in case you think you've missed an email.

If it was cancelled by the cruise line the commission is protected.

I just booked a Deluxe Cabana for $300 (includes two drinks, plus water, soda, and fruit at the Park Hyatt for our port stop on Symphony April 7th. I know there is an adults only pool but how is the rest of the resort? We will be with our 12 year old twin girls and don't want them to be the only kids there. Wasn't sure how kid -friendly the resort was.
Cabana prices are good for up to 5 people so that didn't seem too bad.
Thanks in advance.
Dan
How did you book the cabana? Did you call the resort or is there an online option? Do you have to book a day pass as well or is the day pass included in the price?

Well that was interesting. Always good to revisit this, especially a year later, when Facebook keeps reminding me of what I was doing a year ago. Thanks, Facebook!
Me right now:
I should be on a ship right now, heading to the southern Caribbean. But nope. I am here, planning "distance learning" for 1st grade students.
So...
That is all.

I like how this schedule is so easy to read. Plain black and white typing, and all capital letters so you know how important everything is.
But I have to ask both you and York... what kind of sorcery are you using to share these images with us from the ship?

We didn’t get too dressed up since it wasn’t formal night. I just wore a casual 3-piece suit complete with dickey and spats.
We are so full! Dinner was incredible - better than any land based restaurant in NYC or anywhere else. I can’t believe it’s FREE. They should charge extra for this stuff! Haha.Slow down on the free food! You want to stay svelte for those beach days in the Bahamas!

The email said everything would be cancelled and refunded. Is there any reason to wait for Royal to do that, or should I go ahead and cancel my purchases to get that money back in my account? I am having a hard time cancelling that $18 drink package. 😢

Oh my gosh now I'm hungry!! So just breakfast is "free" right? Not the lunch?
I'm SO GLAD you told me this. I will definitely want to go there a few times on the cruise. Are they usually packed? Do you know what times they are open ... well, I should say what time the "close" breakfast. 🤣
Yes, breakfast is included in the cruise fare. Lunch and dinner have a surcharge, though if you buy the unlimited dining package lunch and dinner are included in that. I am not 100% certain of the breakfast hours, and I don't know whether it varies by sailing/ship/destination. A quick Google search says they are open until 10 or so for breakfast.
When we went there was maybe only one or two other tables seated. That was it!!! I don't know if they are busier earlier on in the morning, but no one was there when we went. We sat outside on the Boardwalk and it was so awesome watching people and enjoying the beautiful morning. The servers were just gushing over a baby at the next table and since there weren't really any other customers they gave them tons of attention.
We had beverage packages so the sodas we drank were free for us as well.
Enjoy!!

Thank you so much for your trip report. I came across it while researching on the Alaska boards. I am trying to get as much info as I can to hopefully book Alaska for 2022.
HAL was probably last one my list but your report actually made me start to price is out as a possibility. We will be traveling with kids and I worry about picking HAL.
Thank you for reading, and for commenting!
I really went back and forth on cruise line. I am amazed at how well it worked out for my kids, but as I have learned they were so happy having small groups of kids to hang out with. People who cruise year round on HAL bring their children and grandchildren on HAL to Alaska so there tend to be more kids on those sailings than there would be on Caribbean sailings on HAL. Honestly, the itinerary is why you are going to Alaska. I would also highly recommend Princess as a great choice. I think they have a bit more going on than HAL, and tend to draw a slightly more lively crowd.
