We are doing exactly this on our med cruise in September. Plan on taking the train to Monterosso and hiking to Vernazza and then stay in Corniglia. The next day we will go to the other villages on the way back to La Spezia.

We were on Silhouette in December and there was a female bartender in Ensemble. We asked the server for a couple of drinks a little modified. It was shocking how That bartender laid into him when he gave her our order. He looked terrified when he came back to ask if we wanted another round! Obviously we didn’t put him through that again. I hope she’s somewhere else this December!

Any recommendations for a private shuttle from the port to a hotel at the end of the cruise? Also, what time do you ask to be picked up? I think the ship arrives at 6 am but I am not sure how long it takes to clear customs and disembark.

This is our first European cruise. Does celebrity hold our passports? Who did you speak to in order to get your passports? I definitely wouldn’t go without the passports. I’ve never checked into a hotel in Italy that didn’t need our passports. Thank you for that reminder!

We have an overnight in La Spezia and have made a reservation to spend the night in Cinque Terra. Do we notify anyone once we are onboard that we be gone overnight? Just want to confirm there isn’t a problem doing this.

That is very true but I was thinking more along the lines of what celebrity’s pricing had been recently. Hoping it’s a trend!!!

No. As long as you are within final payment and there is a cabin available in the same rate class you booked, you or your TA can call celebrity for a price adjustment.

We just booked a cruise over Christmas of this year in Aqua Class. I am shocked at how low the price was and the number of cabins still available. Not sure of the reason but it worked for me! As others said, if the price goes down before final payment you can get a price adjustment.

Definitely no rhyme or reason! We were on Beyond January 2024 in SV and were told we could not have loungers due to safety issues. Our friends were on Ascent SV March 2024 and had loungers. It’s a crap shoot which is incredibly annoying!
