  1. Thanks Phil, hopefully we are both now fine and have several trips booked including two river cruises.
  2. We are both fine thanks, but have had to abort on cruise and cancel two others due to ill health. We still switch about showing absolutely no loyalty, but always look to include Azamara Journey in our plans. Even though we currently have a much larger travel budget than in the past, we still look for value for money first. Unusually we have only one cruise booked, a river cruise! Nice to hear from you.
  3. It depends on whether or not they read these boards! 😉
  4. Is it allowed to bring a couple of bottles of bubbly on at embarkation?
  5. On Celebrity I have frequently upgraded whilst my wife in same cabin, never has.
  6. Presumably it’s possible to upgrade for the last two days, which in our case are at sea and we might imbibe a bit more than when on excursions.
  7. Photos from cruise Yes, we booked through a TA.

    Celebrity Reflection

Celebrity Reflection Mediterranean Cruise October 2018 Rome, Gibraltar, Malaga, Cartagena, Ibiza, Barcelona- overnight, Villefrance, La Spezia, Rome
  9. We rented a car and drove ourselves, parking at a supermarket (closed on Sunday), then took the tram.
  10. Phil, we’re now back home and although we had a great cruis, we conclude that we prefer the smaller ships, with a more intimate atmosphere. We hated the constant noise in the public areas and the constant up selling.
  11. Thanks Phil, you too. We chose this cruise as an experiment on a large ship due to the tremendous deal we got for the suite, which appears to offer great facilities and lots included, such as drinks, Wi-fi, gratuities and obc. The small dining room appeals as does the private lounge. We love the smaller ships, so watch this space.
  12. I'd be very interested in finding out your experiences of Sea Dream, a line we've thought about but not tried. We love Seabourn, as it feels like a small club. The one area Seabourn fails for me is entertainment, which is very random, some good, some not so. I hope Celebrity will offer much more varied entertainment, as presumably budget is higher.
  13. Thanks for the kind comments. This will be an unusual experience as we have got used to smaller ships, so we’ll have to see if having a suite on a larger ship suits us. Of course the price must be right.
