  1. I'm booked in a mini suite on the Breakaway in a few weeks, and was starting to worry about the sleeping arrangements of my 3 year old and 1 year old.... basically they get along a little too well haha, every time they see each other they light up, which is....difficult for bed time. So had an epiphany that it may be a better idea to just swap the room for adjoining rooms (inside or oceanview). So, if you've had adjoining rooms on these ships, can you leave the door open between both rooms at all times? Has anyone done similar with any success? Will be my 3 year old's 7th cruise and 1 year old's 2nd!
  2. Looking forward to this review! I enjoy your format and I am going on Breakaway for the 2nd time in November. First time was my honeymoon, this time we've got two kids! Time flies...
  3. You should play in the NBA with that kind of reach!
  4. I won! Now going back to re-read your review to hold me over until Sunday!
  5. See Epic departing now, two tugs on the stern... Problem must not be entirely fixed
  6. The AIS shows a tug currently alongside - tugs wouldn't show up early enough to sit and wait for 3000 people to disembark in my opinion...
  7. Heh - I actually go watch the gangway prior to every departure to watch the runners hahaha
  8. I saw another review that mentioned the movies! That will be awesome! Reminds me of our last cruise (which was on Disney) that had all the old Disney movies on demand.
  9. The issue w/ Vibe is less the cost and moreso, being on the ship early enough to get it, if you go to www.cruisewithgambee.com and read his review of the Escape it gives you a little insight on the competitiveness of getting Vibe passes. That being said - I had Vibe on my honeymoon and it was the absolute least my wife and I have ever done on a cruise, and it a good way, after the wedding week, sitting up there and relaxing, getting cold towels and fresh fruit brought to us, having an uncrowded bar to go to was EXACTLY what we needed. Now we have kids, so we're out of the bidding on Vibe, and we're going on our first Haven cruise next week (which we did successfully bid on.....$1300pp).
  10. This is how I used to dock in Nikiski, AK circa 2009 - drop the outboard anchor and pin the bow against the dock to pass the lines
  11. I assume they're trying to berth on arrival so they can get going on the repairs ASAP.
  12. Yins / Tom - Thanks! The no sushi delivery makes sense, i guess i'll have to make my way down there during the cruise. The tough part for me will be choosing between the sushi and the tuna crudo / black bass ceviche at the raw bar next door haha.
  13. Appreciate it! Excited to show my 6 month old how fun cruising can be! I remember taking my oldest son on board the Getaway when he was the same age, and the crew really went out of their way to make it fun for him
  14. Family mini suite! We usually do a balcony but with two kids now we wanted a bath rub....now we get a bath tub with a view! Very excited! Still booked in a mini suite for our November cruise on the Breakaway
