  1. Lol, our group were all huge fans of the steak and eggs. I may have had it every sea day 😊
  2. She maybe referring to the Lucayan marketplace (the name may not be correct) but it is a large shopping area near the Grand Lucayan resort. It was not open yet when we were there, but our cab driver said it would be opening later that week. So if there were no delays, it should be open now. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g147420-d149314-Reviews-Port_Lucaya_Marketplace-Freeport_Grand_Bahama_Island_Bahamas.html
  3. The Dr Seuss Breakfast menu is a Dr Seuss version of the Sea Day Brunch, so I doubt you’ll want to do both. The breakfast is fun, enjoy!
  4. They had a window just inside the lobby special to purchase day passes. We’ve done this two different times and didn’t have any issues. It’s a large resort, so I don’t think there’s a worry about it being full.
  5. We just got back from the Grand Lucayan, my daughter is 8. She loved having the pool to play in along with the ocean and sand to dig in. Kids are $10, adults $20. They had a dj playing music and running games (water balloon toss for example.) Our taxi driver let the Taino beach crowd off first then took us, they weren’t far away from each other. I didn’t see much of Taino, but I think the Grand Lucayan seemed nicer from what little I saw.
  6. We just got back from our Bahamas cruise, definitely proceed with your plans. The water and beaches are gorgeous. We stopped at Freeport, you could see storm damage, but (at least on our route to the Grand Lucayan) you would have no idea of the severity. I was shocked how good it looked. Half Moon Cay was absolutely stunning, prettiest water I’ve ever seen. Nassau looked as good as always, lots of construction, but the beach was nice & the water was pretty. here’s what we did in Freeport: We took a taxi ($5 pp) to the Grand Lucayan resort. Day passes are $20 pp, $10 for kids. The taxi was $6 pp back to the ship. The resort was in good shape, some shingles were missing from some of the roofs. There wasn’t very many people, but it was a beautiful day. We enjoyed the beach and pool.

  8. We are back from our cruise on the Freedom. Crafts were each seaday at 9:00 am in the Atrium lobby. We had 3 seadays, the first day they made Halloween cards for the cruise director (Hey TJ!) next they made a cute fall banner, lastly they made beaded bracelets. There were people of all ages and abilities, my daughter really enjoyed it.
