  1. I booked my appointments today for both doses, age 53, as have my SIL, BIL and friends at work all in their early 50's. The NHS booking site still says over 55's but is accepting bookings now for over 50's, I don't know whether this is postcode dependent as we are all in Kent.
  2. We were supposed to visit Ajaccio last August for the first time, looking at everyones photos I will look forward to visiting in the future.
  3. Sorry to hear what happened to you Jean, hope you have a swift recovery x
  4. We have booked a week in Shropshire and a week in the Cotswolds, I had a look tonight to see if the prices have increased but can't tell as one is completely booked throughout the summer and the other one only has odd nights available. Just hope things go to plan and we can all have a great holiday this year but whatever happens it's nice to have a holiday to look forward to that has a reasonable chance of not being cancelled.
  5. Great photos and more destinations to add to the bucket list.
  6. Interestingly, October through to Easter in pre-school is usually rife with coughs and colds but this year there have been hardly any, it really has been an eye opener. We don't wear masks but the real game changer has been good old fashioned hand washing. Our littlest children (2 year olds) have learnt to wash their hands thoroughly for 20 seconds, singing a hand washing song, at numerous points throughout the day. They could teach adults a thing or two outside the buffet on ships 🤣

As so much depends on what the rest of the world is doing it doesn't look hopeful for Summer cruises. International travel The Government’s objective is to see a safe and sustainable return to international travel, for business and pleasure. When it is safe to do so the UK will again be the destination of choice for international visitors from around the world. In the short- term, the Government wi
  8. Just to help clarify and hopefully end the arguments the full government paper on the roadmap contains the following clarification: Step 2: No earlier than April 12th Overnight stays away from home in this country will be permitted and self-contained accommodation - those that do not require shared use of bathing, entry/exit, catering or sleeping facilities - can also reopen, though must only be used by members of the same household. Step 3: No earlie
  9. Super photos of Dubrovnik, I really hope we get there in April 2022.
  10. Thanks Avril it was amazing to watch, we were on the Rialto Bridge watching the storm in the distance and hoping it stayed in the distance!
  11. Welcome to the forum, we are really enjoying this thread, reminiscing over places visited and learning about new destinations. We're looking forward to Dubrovnik tomorrow as we will hopefully be going there for the first time next April on a cruise.
  12. Just asked my hubbie, 'Have you heard of Clarence Clemons?" and he answered yes, he was in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. He never ceases to amaze me!
