  1. We just booked for Jan 6th 2024! Our rate was like $240 for an interior but we had friends that booked the same sailing that got it for $100. Several sailings during early 24 were dirt cheap. Anyone else take advantage of the sale. Cant wait!
  2. Yeah now that you mention it, when we were in the Imax it was brand brand new. We were on the first Vista sailing out of the USA actually and we has less than 10 ppl in there. You did have to pay, i dont remember how much
  3. The theaters arent that popular anymore? I remember that being a big deal when the vista first launched. I'll never forget watching Ready Player One in there 🙂
  4. Yeah i think all casinos have that. During the shut down they converted a conference room on deck 4 of the Magic into an entire non smoking casino. Its small but awesome.
  5. I thought i read somewhere that Carnival was going to added some more non smoking casinos on some of their other ships. I was on the Magic twice last year and LOVED the non smoking casino. Does anyone know if the Horizon added one, or any other ship for that matter?
  6. Imo its barely enough of a change to notice. When i started sailing in 2010, it was the tail end of the midnight buffets and people got all worked up about that. Somehow we survived. These are all cost cutting measures so id much rather them do this than charge me twice as much or possibly go bankrupt.
  7. The pride is an older ship so there arent really as many viewing areas as some of the others. I had this cruise booked before and it got canceled. Im doing the Southern Caribbean out of Miami on the Horizon in Sept. Weve done it before and its our favorite itinerary.
  8. Honestly it was a game changer. I'm the same way, i hate smoke. They have a divided casino on the MG. One side is smoking and one side is non and its not the same. You can still smell it
  9. Ive been on both. I wouldnt call its superior, its bigger but not really by much. Just depends what you like. If youre a person that spends alot of time on the Serenity deck then youre gonna love the Sunshine over the Magic.
  10. Best thing about the Magic imo (or least what sets it apart) is the 2nd casino on deck 4. During the restart they made another non smoking casino under the main one. Its small but rarely ever crowded so you also get drinks there faster. I went Sept 21 & July 22 and as far as i know its still there.
  11. Its always been like that. Ive taken them with a grain of salt, especially the ones written right after the restart. Seems like alot of them sway to the negative side. We did a bubble tour excursion in Sept 21 at Amber Cove and had a blast. Left a 5 star review and a couple of days later some left a one star review basically because of the covid restrictions. Probably best bet is to google the excursion.
  12. Thanks. Yeah i thought maybe it was in writing somewhere but i guess not. We'll just do what we did last time, which is buy the tickets for my wife and I, then go to the excursions desk the first day we get on board to ask.
  13. I wouldn't either. Thats why i thought it was strange when the worker told me that. I asked afew times just to make sure. This was in Sept
  14. When we were on the Mardi Gras a couple of months ago we were told by the excursions desk that "any kids under 5 do not require a ticket". I remember the website used to say that on some of the excursions but not all of them, now none say it. Does anyone know if this rule is written anywhere cause i cant find it and i don't want to call just for this question? Thanks
  15. Taylor ham isnt real. However pork roll is awesome
  16. Seems like most are saying Amber Cove and id have to agree for what you're looking for. Take two steps outside the port and thats another story.
  17. Im hoping a promo code for the site pops up either on Fri or Mon. They had one for either mothers day or fathers day, i forget which one

  19. The non smoking casino is awesome.
  20. Depends what promo you have. Anytime ive ever had it its been only while playing, i have asked. Sometimes you can go up to the casino bar and get something free but that depends on the bartender
  21. Im not really sure what the first question is but the Uncle Jerome was on the menu when i was on the MG is Sept. You can do up to two people per ride on Bolt as long as the weight limit doesnt exceed 300lbs total so youre going to have to do multiple bookings for the family but you can schedule them back to back.
  22. Ive only ever seen the seaside theater have the Sun and Mon night games. I was on the Mardi Gras for NFL kickoff weekend. Honestly the whole process is a crap shoot. Your best bet is to get down at Heros lounge no later than noon and cross your fingers that your game will be on.
  23. Not really true. I went on the first USA cruise on the Vista. It was a 12 day, i dont remember the exact price i paid but i know it wasn't that much. Maybe like 600-750 per for the 12 days. I think it depends more on the itinerary & time of year than the ship tbh
  24. It happens all the time. That i can remember its happened two out of my last three cruises. Probably too many people trying to get on the server at the same night. Just give it time, it should work.
