We are on the May 14 sailing of RCL Explorer of the Seas. There are 8 of us. I have found RT airfare for $200/person from Austin, TX. We are scheduled to arrive into MIA on the day the cruise leaves at 11am. I feel like we will be ok to get to the port by 2:30 for a 4:00 sailing. My real question is the return:  the flight leaves MIA at 10:26am. If we carry our own luggage off, will we be able to make that flight? If we don't make that one, the times and prices are much, much worse for other flights. It looks to me like the ship docks at 7am.

Thanks for the help.  It feels like ages now since we've cruised, so relying on past experiences/memories is a little foggy to me.  

Our traveling party of 8 (4 adults/4 kids) just found out our rooms were cancelled at the Holiday Inn in San Juan for THIS SATURDAY! I know several on here have commented that they're booking back up rooms in case something happens with their reservation. Does anyone have back up rooms that they will possibly cancel for Saturday night (12/2)? We have a "worst case scenario" room reserved, but it's not somewhere I really want us to stay. :o

I haven't been on here in a while, but came straight away when I got my final Compass Rewards in the mail today. I was expecting 2 - $500 certs plus 2 or 3 useless upgrade certs. Wasn't I surprised when I opened the envelope and got 4 upgrade certs and no $500 certs! :eek: I called the customer line (I refuse to refer to it as service) immediately, and got the address that those of you on here have listed (Tryon St, not Tyron St). She said they had been getting these calls all day and she only had an address, no phone number. I guess I'll fire a letter off, for whatever good that will do!

Me too. I'm going to earn my last 500-point certificate and then be saying goodbye to my relationship with Bank of America. And sorry NCL, you're going to be losing most of my business as well.

Looks like we'll be moving on, too. In a very odd sort of way it's a relief. I really like some other cruise lines and have wanted to go back to them or try new ones, but with the Compass Rewards, I could never justify the cost and thus kept booking with NCL. Now I'm finally free to go elsewhere! :rolleyes:

I've read some of the posts on here... but not all by any stretch.... so forgive me if this has been answered in detail already. I'll have $1100 points or so when the card closes. I'm booked in an AF suite for my next cruise. So, is the $100 "reward" best used for fire-starter on a cold night? My mom is also booked on this cruise in a BB. Could I add her as an authorized user and get some good out of it this way?

Just one more opinion....I have a hip sling that DS and I have used quite a bit. He's 16mo now. I also have a Mei Tei that I'm going to try out before we leave to see if he likes it since I finally feel like he's big enough for it.
