I cruise often and always get an accessible room. I was also injured a few years ago and required a hoyer for several months. That being said, I do not believe a hoyer would fit in the room and be useable. Is it possible? Maybe, but certainly not easy.
I have an extra Grandeur and Liberty I would like to trade. I will be on Grandeur 9/9/23 and on Wonder several times in September and October. If interested please let me know what you can offer in trade.
We ALWAYS bring a foam mattress topper for our frequent Royal cruises. That being said, we were pleasantly surprised that they did change to a much softer mattress in all rooms on Wonder. No need for a topper!
I believe Royal uses pillow top mattresses in JS and above on all ships. All other rooms in all ships, with the exception of Wonder, have the rock hard ones. I have been on many ships and Wonder (in cabins below JS) has been the only one so far I did not use my foam topper that I always bring.
As a frequent cruiser, I have to totally disagree and in my opinion the new menu is terrible. There are poor selections and bad preparation. I think Royal is only trying to cut costs and steer guests to speciality dining.
On Serenade this week. After room steward made up room for embarking, he came by to ask what else we needed and we never saw him again that day. So, did they double the room stewards salaries and rooms since they only do rooms once a day?
I am onboard now and was informed by staff the new menu starts Jan 14. Don’t get too excited I have experienced it last month on Symphony and was VERY disappointed!
I am looking to trade a Harmony Block. I have two extras. Will be on Odyssey this month, Serenade in February and Wonder in March. Email me at Garmy4@comcast.net
We had the “new and improved “ menu for three weeks on Symphony. Several of the items we considered their best are gone. Sorry to say one of the missing was the mushroom soup. We absolutely HATED the menu and conveyed this through their daily qv code at dinner.
I was on Serenade out of Tampa in November 2022 and changed clocks. This is the first time in about 25 cruises since the restart. I was quite surprised to say the least.
I have to agree Darla is excellent. We had the opportunity to be with her on Mariner for a couple weeks. She packed the pub every night. Hope she returns to Florida next contract.
