  1. FedEx overnight is the best way, unfortunately and it's super expensive. We have actually decided not to fish in Sitka because of the potential cost of shipping.
  2. My research for my upcoming trip has shown that most of the Alaska excursions are the same price on or off the ship. If I were doing a plane or helicopter, I would book that in advance but leave the hikes and food tours for on the fly to maybe score a cash discount etc…
  3. It is, Seattle to Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria. Thanks!
  4. We're rolling out on the Eurodam on the July 6 sailing. There's 16 of us, many of us first-time cruisers as well. Been sharing in the roll call as well.
  5. Thanks everybody for the comments. As for the horseback riding weight limit, the horses are safe from me. My only must-do is salmon fishing.
  6. Yeah, I think most of them are a max of 250. I haven't seen that since elementary school so I'm likely out for those, bummer. But they're cost prohibitive anyway. Yeah, I lose perspective of my size sometimes but the tops of doors hurt. I'm more worried about the bathroom space than anything, LOL
  7. Hi all, we are in the process of planning a family cruise for a July sailing to Alaska from Seattle. We have two daughters, 8 and 5 as well as my wife and me. I pose a bit of a logistical challenge, however. I am 6'8" and assuredly not skinny. I believe we'll be on the Eurodam so I am wondering if anybody can share guidance on things like, will I fit in the shower, do I need to pack a helmet, etc... 🙂 I'll be posting in the Alaska ports section but if there's any first-hand experiences on weight/size limitations for any of the excursions, that'd be great information to have as well. Thanks!
