  1. Such a good feeling when you settle into your seat and think “Ah, we’re here and the vacation starts now!” Keep us posted so we can enjoy it, too!
  2. Finnley fits right in with your other cute grandkids! She’ll be running around with Kenzie before you know it. Kenzie can teach her to drive!
  3. I stopped sending grandchildren, nieces and nephews birthday checks because they only hoy cashed 50% of the time. Now I Venmo them, and send empty cards.
  4. We’re not happy with the new MDR menus, so Playmakers was a wonderful surprise. I’m looking forward the having their wings, onion rings, and nachos on Mariner.
  5. It’s so nice to reunite with old friends. Brung able to pick right back up like there hadn’t been a gap in the conversation is pure joy!
  6. @Sea Dog@bobmacliberty When y’all are inventing or improving cocktails, I wish one of you would bend your impressive mind to duplicating the Long Hot Summer I had in Maine! I mentioned it before, and should have asked point blank for help! Bacardi White Rum Cruzan Dark Rum Pina Colada with lime juice Blueberry and Strawberry purée I have no clue about measurements, or if Pina colada with lime juice is something that can be bought!
  7. Thanks, guys for encouraging words. it is good to know Cooper can live out his normal life span. After my husband was diagnosed in 1996 when he was 62, he started walking. Last week, at 89, he got a bicycle. He didn’t tell me till I asked why there was a bike in the garage.
  8. Speaking of cats: My daughter noticed that her beloved Cooper was constantly drinking water and soaking his litter box. Diagnosis, not surprising, diabetes. it runs in Dick’s family. Our 59 year old son was diagnosed in June. Cooper is on a special diet, every 12 hours, and Lisa is giving him insulin injections. She said he complains when she pulls his skin out for the needle. Being Cooper, when she calls him for his shot, he comes right away and jumps in her lap. After one week, the vet increased the insulin dosage. Has any of you had a diabetic cat, and how did it work out in the long run? I hope it’s a long run, because Cooper is a very special cat.
  9. Enjoy Wonder. We sure did. Dick never wants to eat in specialty restaurants, but I talked him into Playmakers because it’s right by the Aqua Theater. We loved the wings. He loved the price, too, which was amazingly low. The truffle fries were good, too. We really liked Wonder, although I prefer the old style vanity/desk with its drawers.
  10. I used to eat it from a spoon. Today the over the top sweetness would make me sick, but when I was young, it was better than candy.
  11. We live 13 miles from the ocean and 5 miles from a 3 mile wide river. Very very few places we could park and get the view you do. I am so glad you and Pauline take advantage of yours.
  12. It will be such a relief when you have two hood knees again! It’s worth going through the surgery and rehab when you get to that point!
