  1. For all of us that were interested in his videos and his whereabouts now, just a quick note to let everyone know that Chris is alive and well. I found this thread a while ago and like all of you had been looking for updated/recent videos. Looks like he stopped posting here on cruisecritic but he has continued to post youtube videos. Take a look at his youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxgWpP7nDIIS_NMiEVH0R1g Juan
  2. Second the skytrain! Super easy and drops right at the airport... Have done it twice now and wouldnt think of going any other route. Wife and son and I did it with 1 full size luggage and a carry-on each. You won't regret it!
  3. Exactly what @Ashland said... no real magic just have to take the time to check, and they will change the price if it drops but you can leave the pre-paid grats if you choose. I will usually check my bookings at least once a day by going to the royal website and going all the way thru the booking process. Lately I have had to get back on the phone with Royal after they didn't give the full price drop. H Good luck
  4. Yes, that is what we have done in the past. Book at refundable rate to hold, then as it gets closer and we are 'for sure' going look at a price drop with a non-refundable rate closer to final payment. Juan Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  5. Book now... Get the refundable rate and put down a deposit. If the rates go up you will be happy, if you decide not to go get your deposit back. Best of both worlds, just make sure to keep an eye on payment date! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  6. Same thing happens when we take our car in for service... "You will get a survey and please remember that a 5 star is the only rating that will not get me in trouble with the boss/corporate". Those surveys never get the rating the employees 'ask' for, but they also get my comments that I rarely give a perfect score and will never give a perfect score to those who tell me I have to give it to them. I just make sure that the corporate bosses know that begging for bad data will not help the company.
  7. We were on this cruise and one of those that got there at 10 am. We were on the ship by 11 am with our champagne in hand I agree that much warmer then expected glad I had t shirts as part of my layers. I also agree on the staff being exceptional and helping whenever needed. We didn't attend to many of the shows but did do the nightly quizzes and games after dinner we had early flights so self walk off at 745 and utilized the sky train and at the airport by 9am
  8. We were just there last week. We had to wait for a ship to leave for ours to have room to dock. We were suppose to dock at two was docked by 230 and able to get off the about 3 with no lines the main street is under construction so it took a little longer but Iwoukdwould agree about 15 minute walk from ship to the show once off the ship
