  1. Notamermaid, the last time I checked there was no market for these collectables here in Ontario. I think it might be a European thing.
  2. Oh wow, are Hummel figures really selling at those prices?! I have a few here that were my mother's and they must be over 60 or 70 years old. I will gladly sell them to help finance my next cruise.⛴ RB
  3. Vada _9 is the winner! After I posted the picture I noticed the name of the hotel...ooops. I was cropping my photo to cut out all the bicycles at the bottom. As far as the quote, I have seen more than I remember and remember even less. RB
  4. Name the river, city and you, too, can post a fun picture from your river cruise
  5. Memphis, Beale Street, Mississippi River, USA RB
  6. Narrowing down my guess to Nashville on the Cumberland or memphis on the Mississippi? RB
  7. I am enjoying the links everyone is suggesting about locations we will visit in the future, the history of places we have been, and the things we wish we had known before visiting some places. Something else to occupy our down time... radio.garden is a website that will link you up to radio stations all over the world, so you can listen to places you dream of visiting. Not every station is there, but it is fun to spin the globe and enlarge the area/ country to find something to listen to or work on your foreign language skills. RB
  8. Ontario has discontinued the AZ as a first shot. Not sure what the plan is if you already have had it and need a second.
  9. Is this located in the middle of a large roundabout?
  10. Happy Mother's Day to everyone who is a mother, grandmother, godmother, stepmother, or has or had a mother, grandmother, godmother, stepmother.! RB
  11. Oktoberfest! During my 20's I lived in Kitchener, Ontario, home of the largest Oktoberfest celebration outside of Germany. At that time there were at least 28 festhallen that could accommodate thousands, over two weekends, one of which was our Thanksgiving holiday. I took a vacation week from my government job to go and work for the Oktoberfest office telling people where to go. What fun! Could I do it now, no way! But it was fun back then. Covid cases are still a major concern and I have forgotten how long our Provincial shut down is for. One day at a time, one day at a time. RB
  12. Alright, here's a place featured on a recently mentioned YouTube video. Name the river and town and then you too, can post a vacation photo!
  13. I hope the Queen will be SS'd this year, but there is nothing on the Uniworld website that mentions it for the cruises it is going to do listed for 2022. 😥 RB
  14. Ooo, the Queen, my favourite ship in the line. We were supposed to be on her last cruise in 2020 before she was to be refurbished and become an SS. I wonder if the company will spend the money to upgrade her up before the Mystery Tour? The Queen was getting a bit worn. Years ago the Heritage Club discount was calculated differently and you also got a level upgrade if cabins were available. Suites were not part of that perk. The dedicated phone line doesn't seem to work anymore. Happy sailing! RB
  15. Welcome to this board atcmike. You will have to keep us updated as the mystery unravels. I originally saw the announcement on Facebook and then on 2 or 3 different cruising vacation sites that popped up. It's too bad Heritage Club members seem to have less perks every year. I guess with everyone anxious to get on with travel Uniworld knows they can charge full price. RB
  16. We'd be on a mystery cruise with Uniworld in a heartbeat except for the date of sailing. Bummer. RB
  17. Salzburg? It was a day trip from the river where we spent more time on the bus than we did exploring the town. RB
  18. The funeral was amazing even with covid restrictions. The weather looked perfect.
