Hello! I am new to Celebrity and have tried to search for this answer before posting, but clearly need your help, please. We love the Chef's Table with Carnival. We will be sailing the Summit in July 2019 and the Solstice in Sept 2020 - does Celebrity offer a similar opportunity? Perhaps it's called something different that I can't find? Thank you in advance for any information!

There is a Chef’s Table on Summit. If you go to your cruise planner on the Celebrity website, you can book it for your cruise.

  2. Thank you SO much! :)

Can I ask one more question?

Dining packages. I see they offer ones for 3, 4, 5 days etc. If I purchase a 3 day dining package do I need to eat in the specialty restaurants in those first 3 days? Or can I make a reservation to eat at each of them later in the week?

They assign you to a restaurant on day one and you can make the other reservations onboard for the nights and restaurants you choose.

  3. I am posting this from the Summit. We are on the final leg of a B2B2B, and first boarded on September 24th. So we boarded with TeeRick, and when I read TeeRick's review realized that we were two Sky Suites away from them. For the middle leg (the one Happy Cruiser was also on -- hello Linda) we changed suites when another more desirable one opened, and just when we were preparing to book our air fare the prices on Celebrity Suites were very reasonable, so we added the third leg in a CS.

We were also in suites on both the Infinity and Millennium earlier this year. All three of the Summit suites have been in great shape (i.e., no difficulty opening drawers, upholstery in good shape, clean carpeting, and so forth), and all three are definitely in better condition than a CS we had on the Infinity. While the color scheme is becoming dated, I am more interested in the level of cleanliness, and have no complaints.

Also, Maggie is presently the Luminae sommelier. I can ask tonight when she and her husband Koray (the Blu sommelier) are leaving.

  4. On decks 9, 10 & 12:

    there are larger angled balconies near the hump and near the forward stairs;

in addition the cabins at the far aft just before you get to the stern's aft facing cabins appear to have larger angled balconies

Deck 12 cabins are under the buffet or pool. Deck 9 & 10 cabins have cabins above and below so will be quieter.

Perhaps you already know this - if you have sailed on Celebrity at least once before, you are eligible for a loyalty upgrade - i.e. book the C2 at the C3 rate. So be sure to ask for it.

  5. Loved, loved , loved your review! This is the first one I have read and I am looking forward to reading the others. We are sailing on the Reflection in November and your review.... especially your food porn ... has made me even more excited. Thank you again for all your positive energy, thoughtful comments, and beautiful pictures!

  6. Thanks for sharing your trip. As a newbie to Celebrity, I am lapping all of this information up. Love these forum boards.

Silly but quick question. One the last day for the Summit cruise to Bermuda, we debark at 7:00 am. Does that mean we leave the ship without breakfast? If so, what can we do to ensure we have some nibbles around till we can get to a breakfast place in NJ before driving home to Canada? Like, can we pick up some pastries somewhere late before zzz-ing?

    Thanks lots!!

You will be given a time to disembark....you do not have to leave at 7. The dining room is open for breakfast until 8am on the last day as well as the buffet.

  7. Very disappointed to see the change in times for dining. The Main Seating at 5:30 is very early and conflicts with the happy hour times in the Diamond Lounge. We'd enjoy having a few drinks in the hour before dinner beginning at 5:00. And, as you mentioned, it cuts into pool time in the afternoon. Did they give any reason for the change? Would these be the new dining hours going forward?

We are on the 7/16 cruise and our dining hours were also changed to 5:30 and 8:00. It doesn't really impact us since we have late dining but I agree that 5:30 is too early.
