    Agree that it may be too hurried (things can delay) and a hotel location midtown would permit walking around and sightsee before going to the pier.

    There are some hotels that offer p/u at airport to hotel. Best to search individual properties for this or perhaps call them. But, fewer would offer a ride to the port. Suggest focus be on the quality of the hotel, price, location, etc. … the website TripAdvisor can be useful.

    Location of the Airbnb is important in many locations as some are located in not solid areas. Given that many board posters are not familiar with the particular geography of some cities ….. better (and safer) to patronize known properties.

    My gut feeling is to park at the port in Miami.

    I believe both land and ship tours of Ireland have merit. When I was still driving, we saw much by car. Also could change our itinerary at any point. Enjoy your trip anyway you decided to go.

    Suggest reading reviews in TripAdvisor. Some folks were not pleased with their stay ... others were.

    I'd suggest downtown for the reasons John stated. Gives all greater flexibility. Parking at the port is safe but not inexpensive and permits a rapid get away after the cruise.

    We prefer a table for two and enjoy our meal. No distractions. We meet others in different situations such as Baristas, the pool and excursions.

    I had a favorable experience with O offered insurance a few years ago. Due to my unexpected hospitalization, we had to cancel. The claim required my doctors signature and was very promptly processed.

    We always stay at the Intercontinental ….. watch the cruise ships in the AM, have a wonderful breakfast …. no complaints.

    We have stayed at the Intercontinental a number of times ......great hotel.

    We usually fly the day prior to our trip. But, one time we had exceptional snow in NY and our flight to Miami was cancelled. Fortunately, we were able to change our reservation and get out very early the next AM. Only got on board 30 minutes later than we planned. Very lucky.

    We noticed on our last trip a few years ago that the size of the serving carts was smaller. Also, staff level was reduced. Not sure we will attend afternoon tea again .... when we sail.

    My assessment is that there is only one good choice at Miami ....park at the pier.

    Possibly, but we find it simpler to just get transport as needed. Never seems to be a shortage of vehicles.
