  1. Hey Darcy! Just curious how your drop offs at Alamo have gone? What time do you normally go and how long does it usually take? Is it typically pretty smooth or kind of a pain in the butt? We would likely be dropping our rental off around 10am and then taking the shuttle to the port, but seeing as we've usually taken hotel shuttles I don't know what craziness to expect with turning in a car that morning. Thanks for any help you may be able to provide!! 🙂
  2. Hello! I'm looking into doing this for my cruise in November. Just curious how drop off went for you? We would most likely drop off the car around 10am-ish but are wondering how crazy/not crazy it is in the mornings? How long would you say it took you to drop off, get the shuttle and be to port? Thank you so much!!
  3. Hello!! I'm looking into booking a van from Alamo (through Costco) in November, picking it up at FLL and returning the next morning to the Eller Dr location. Not sure if your rental was pre or post cruise but I've been wondering how crazy it is for dropping off the morning your cruise? We have Carnival's Faster to the Fun so we'd like to get to port around 10... any idea how long of a process drop off and grabbing their shuttle to port is? Trying to decide if a rental is worth it for the day or just more craziness to deal with. Thank you so much!
  4. Thanks for pointing that out. I've definitely had southwest credit from rebooking expire before, and I've also been able to use it so it's a toss up for me. While it's sad to watch it go to waste, it also gives me a slight peace of mind that I can potentially recoup some money with price drops (and hopefully be able to use it that year for something else fun) if I book far in advance.
  5. Price is mostly what I was curious about. I've been watching the price bounce between 2 price points and only once did it go lower than that in the month or two I've been watching. While no one can predict when the prices might rise or fall I was just wondering if most people usually do buy them this far in advance, or wait until closer. Matter of personal preference but I was just curious!
  6. Thank you for the input.... I wasn't sure if I was jumping the gun looking this far out or if I should wait and see what it's like in a couple months!
  7. How far in advance do you normally buy your plane tickets? I'm not cruising until Nov 3rd ( out of Port Everglades ) but I watch the flights to FLL and MIA daily. With southwest I know you can price match if it drops at all, but I've been eyeing Delta as they have nonstop flights and they only price match for 24 hours. When do you pull the trigger?!
  8. Hello! My boyfriend's mom would like to go Parasailing on our Carnival cruise in November. So far the only parasailing I've found near Amber Cover is about a half hour drive away and they seem to only cater to hotel guests in the area. Any suggestions? Thank you!
