  1. Hello all, but mainly taking a break from even thinking of cruising again. Last cruise Oct of 2019 on Mariner, next cruise put off till May 22 (I hope) I have been checking on Enchantment for awhile on marinetraffic.com She was sitting along size Radiance in Cadiz Spain for quite a while. Never been there, but I have heard Royal does use this port for doing work on their ships. Today it looks like she moved into what I assume is a dry dock section of the port. I know that could be routine inspection/maintenance. Anyone have any intel on Enchantment here? Off to see if there is a webcam anywhere nearby.
  2. Just wondering if the Enchantment has a scheduled drydock or refurb? Considering a cruise in July 2020 and have been reading about the current so-so upkeep. Thanks. Dan
  3. Anyone know which cabin numbers are part of the extension? I had one once which had glass shower doors which were nice. Thanks.
  4. I saw an article in Marine Link today (7/16/2021) about a contract for Unitor to install 450 pre-fabricated passenger cabins in both Enchantment of the Seas and Grandeur of the Seas but do not see any date for this project. We have a cruise booked in December for Enchantment but no idea if this work will be before or after we sail. Please message back if you have seen the drydock schedule as I cannot seem to find anything current for Enchantment and really no word as to when Royal will start sailing out of Baltimore. Thanks!
  5. I had not received any notice. Paid in full in June and I just logged into the RCCL site to see if anything was interesting. Saw notice that the cruise had been cancelled. Was looking forward to it. No notice on how refund will be disbursed. I think I have over 100,000 cruise credits and not sure when some will expire. Was hoping to use them up. 🤕
  6. Anyone know if they have bikes in the gym and what kind? Would love to see Peloton Thanks Fran
  7. Received one today for my September sailing. Perhaps a good sign for Port of Baltimore sailings?
  8. Anyone have any knowledge about Enchantment sailing in September. I know that is usually a Canada season but Canada is not yet open.
  9. It has been so long since I have been out the Enchantment while looking at the layout today on deck 7 cabin 7100 or around there I DON'T remember these cabins was the Enchantment the ship that was cut in half and expanded ? I need to burn a FCC and have have a limited time I can't find any info on 7100 if anyone knows anything about it please let me know
  10. Any idea why a Carnival ship was blocking Enchantment’s arrival at Costa Maya today? Enchantment is skipping the port and heading to overnight in Cozumel.
  11. Has anyone ever done the "Taste of Royal" lunch on Enchantment of the Seas? With Chops as the only specialty restaurant on the ship, I am guessing they are replicating the dishes served in the restaurants on other ships to build out the tasting menu. "Your exclusive four-course lunch begins in Wonderland, serving a full-sensory experience with their Citrus Seas Tuna Tartare. Next up, enjoy a fresh take on Tuscan cuisine from Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen, featuring mascarpone risotto with crabmeat. Then anchor the savory selections with a classic surf and turf of filet mignon and jumbo shrimp from Chops Grille. Just make sure you save room for dessert — the indulgent fried cheesecake from 150 Central Park can’t be missed. Plus, quench your thirst for culture even further with an expertly curated wine flight for an additional price." Thanks!
  12. It has been several years since we have cruised on Royal Caribbean. Our family will be sailing in June of 2022. I know that the room numbers are posted outside the cabin doors. Does the room number plaque also act as a mailbox? I would like to tie a ribbon or piece of yarn to “something” to make it easier for our kids to locate our room. Any ideas or thoughts? Can I do this. Thank you
  13. I was looking for a cruise for my dad on the Enchantment of the Seas for this summer out of Baltimore. He wanted to book something just in case they do start up like was talked about recently. Very weird schedule for Enchantment. It is doing 5 night Bermuda cruises and it is 1 cruise every 2 weeks. There is nothing scheduled between the cruises. They cruise on 7/10, 7/24, 8/7, 8/21, 9/4 and 9/18.
  14. What are the least noisiest JS cabins on deck 8? I realize the WJ & pools are on 9 but JS availability only on 8. Will be on Enchantment in March 2022.
  15. Have cabin 8124 booked but reading it has a pole at foot of bed. 8150 & 8152 are available. Anyone stay in either of these & was there a pole & what about noise from above.
  16. I have a great deal available for a junior suite on Enchantment early next year that I'm considering. However someone told me that the cabins on deck 8 are obstructed. How do I tell if the cabin available is obstructed? It's 8090 deck 8.
  17. I just looked at the Enchantment schedule for May 2021 and the summer. Since they are not able to have 8 night cruises, there seems to be a big space between the 5 night Bermuda cruises where the 8 night cruise would have been. I'm trying to understand what they plan to do. They can't stay at the pier for 8 days. Are they going out into the bay and drop the hook? Has anyone else noticed this? Please don't shoot the messenger, just my observation.
  18. The cabin is a handicap and I have an opportunity to go with my daughter in law and her mom. Would like to know if this cabin has a full size sofa or the little love seat??
  19. Since they sold Empress (my preferred RCL ship) and I have FCC that I need to use was thinking of booking an inside cabin on Enchantment of the Seas. I have been on Grandeur and thought it was OK. I do not like the huge ships. Also, wanted to sail out of a Northeast port (so I can drive to the port) and this limits me to Enchantment.
  20. I've been watching the port cams to keep my cruise bug going. I've been following Brilliance since she is my next cruise (fingers crossed) She is behind Enchantment in this pic. I zoomed way in so the detail isn't good. Is this a cargo door that opens on the back of this class, or do they have a tarp draped there for some reason? I saw outside Grills in Port Canaveral once and watched Divers work on a Freedom Azipod. They put up a tarp like that to protect the ship when they pulled up parts.
  21. Is this the same for Enchantment? Just booked 7024 & would prefer bed by bathroom. Oasis class ships. OPPOSITE FOR QUANTUM CLASS Look at a deck plan and find cabins that are connecting. The cabin on the left as you enter the cabin will have the bed by the bathroom. The cabin on the right will have the bed by the balcony. This pattern will repeat with every pair of cabins.
  22. All GS. Is it because of close proximity to stairs and elevator and thus probably not the best locations? Considering booking (more like rescheduling) a Grandeur Bahamas cruise, which will now be on the Enchantment in '22. Any advice on those particular rooms? I'd do a bit farther aft but everything's already taken.
  23. Hi all Starting here I guess. Jerry & Sharon from St Louis. Second half of a B2B. Looking forward to meeting all of you.
  24. Starting a new Roll Call for the Bermuda Cruise since I haven’t been able to locate one.
  25. Looking for my CC friends that will be aboard the beautiful Enchantment of the Seas on April 22, 2021. This is Shell and my third RCCL trip and we will be traveling from landlocked Kentucky. We are very interested in any suggestions on excursions even if not through the cruise line for Bermuda, Nassau, and/or CoCoCay. I will traveling As a party of 6, accounting for two littles (8 yo/10 yo) as 2 of the 6.
