  1. For those who have sailed on the Epic out of Rome, can you tell me where they hold the luggage on disembarkation day. It is out in the open or is there a room where they hold the luggage. As I have a late flight out, I planned to stay on the ship until the majority of the passengers for early disembarkation and the cruisers heading into Rome for the day have departed to avoid the mad rush. I just wanted to make sure my luggage will be safe until I get off around 10:00am. I don't want it on the pier and have it mixed up with the luggage from new passengers coming on, etc. Thank you in adva
  2. MHey all, if anyone is interested in joining my wife and I for shore excursions in Cannes or Naples we are booking thru www.ItalyTours.EU They seem to have great reviews and offer a very reasonable price. I am including a description of of the Tour of the Amalfi Coast. Hit them up. Hope to see you there. Joe and Beth ITANO, AMALFI & RAVELLO - The Classic Amalfi shore excursion If you have been to Pompeii in the past, this shore excursion is a priority for you. Meet your private driver next to your ship and depart on tour. We will ride along the base of Europe's most famous Vol
  3. This will be my first cruise with NCL and have previously only been on cruises where you have to dress for dinner (i.e. always trousers with a casual shirt as a minimum). I need to plan what I'm taking and I can see from other threads on here that I can wear shorts in most restaurants and presumably a T-shirt with those are fine? What type of shoes can I wear - are trainers (sneakers) OK to wear? Le Bistro (any other restaurants on Epic?) needs long trousers - do these have to be smart trousers or are smart jeans OK? What type of shoes to go with these - do they have to be smart sh
  4. I was on Epic 15th May from Rome and have posted a review which although written from a solo traveller's viewpoint I hope it will give others some insight as to what to expect on this itinerary. www.cruisecritic.co.uk/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=658594 Suzanne
  5. EPIC review - westbound transatlantic crossing 4th – 17th November 2018 Background We’re Peter & Patrick from Manchester U.K. who began cruising back in 2004. We sailed exclusively with Royal Caribbean for 11 years and then started to widen our choices to include Celebrity, MSC, Cunard, P&O and NCL. This was our 4th Transatlantic crossing (or TA for short), our 3rd westbound with another 2 eastbound booked for 2019 & 2020! As we booked in the U.K. we had what is known as the “Ultimate All Inclusive” package which provided the Ultimate beverage p
  6. Who has kids and going on the NCL EPIC July 3rd??
  7. Hi we have bought the Thermal pass on the Epic and I was wondering if they have products in the showers or do you need to take your own ? Also are the showers open or private. Thanks
  8. We are on the Epic Med. sailing 23rd June from Barcelona. Question is ? Is the Haven restrurant open for lunch on port days. Other lines we have cruised on no longer open theirs. As we have many times cruised the Med.( so many I could become a tour guide ) we hope that on this cruise to miss some ports just to chill out. Thanks in advance.😎
  9. Trying to find some people to do 'shared shore excursion' through AP Tours off of Norwegian Epic during July 7-14. Please look at AP tours website to see if interested in shared shore excursion set up for that date!
  10. We are booked on the Epic TA in November 2020. We have a balcony, but I'm wondering if the weather is cold or rainy and I want to sit and read with a drink in my hand, is there going to be anywhere I can go? A few years ago I was on the Celebrity Eclipse and enjoyed reading in the Sky Observation Lounge.
  11. I just saw this on my Google news feed Norwegian Epic Passengers Cruising Mediterranean Sea Help Search for Missing Woman
  12. Can anyone tell me apart from the Beatles who is playing in the Cavern Club now it was 4 Blue but they are on hols Thanks Tony
  13. We're sailing on Epic ex Rome 3rd July. Wimbledon commences on 1st July. Question: Will the ship (based on your previous experience) broadcast the matches somewhere? TIA
  14. I have purposely booked on the Epic to sail from Rome on July 24th, with the full intentions of taking the $50 shore excursions "Free at sea" deal in order to visit Barcelona. However, when looking at "My NCL" account, there are only 6 excursions on July 28th in Barcelona and they are all for In-transit passengers only. I have rung NCL UK twice now for help and got as usual different stories from different personnel. One of them said it must be a mistake and she would have to E-mail Miami excursions office (still no response) and another one really could not understand why all 6 excursions sho
  15. Hi all, I’m going on my first cruise in October on the Epic. I searched the forum for more information about toiletries available onboard and most of the answers were about amenities in cabins, so I know to expect some basic shower amenities. (I’m in a solo cabin.) Obviously I’m planning to pack toiletries for my cruise, but I’ll also be on vacation prior to the cruise, so on the off chance I run out of something basic like toothpaste and I don’t grab any at a store while at a port, is that available to be purchased in a shop on the ship? Probably an obvious question
  16. I read in a post that some of the thermal spas have primarily segregated areas. Are the lounging areas and the hot tubs on the Epic co-ed? I’m thinking about buying the pass for my sig other and I, But we would want to spend our time together...
  17. Need help from all you experts dealing with upgrade bids. We sail June 12 on the Epic leaving out of Rome. We already have a balcony room and were offered to upgrade to mini-suite with balcony, spa, or Haven. I did a mock booking and according to the website all three categories are sold out. Are they really since they offered a bid? Should I just offer a price and see how it goes? Just to be clear, there are 4 of us in the cabin so if we win the bid, that includes al 4 of us. I just don't want to make any crucial mistakes. Thanks!
  18. We booked a Mediterranean cruise sailing on the Epic 23rd June 2019. A 🙂part of the booking was an Adult Ultimate beverage package. Question is, I can find the "what's included" listing for The Premium package but no detail for the Ultimate one. Any enlightenment would be welcome or better still a link to a web site page for this. Thanks in advance to you who are hardened NCL people.🙂
  19. I am hoping you all can make me feel better as I am driving myself crazy thinking about what to pack/bring on our Epic Mediterranean cruise. We leave in 4 weeks to head over to Rome where we will stay for 3 nights before boarding the ship. I’ve read, researched and scoured the Internet for ideas of what people wear but want to know from you CC’s who have been on this cruise what you wore on a summer trip. One of our days in Rome we have the Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica tour. So we are respectful and won’t be turned away, we will all (me, DH and DS(15)) wear something that go
  20. Now that there of been several of these cruises in 2019 I thought I'd ask: What time did you arrive at the port for boarding? How was your wait? or How were the lines? Any advice about boarding for the Mediterranean cruise? I ask as someone on the first cruise of the season indicated they arrived a bit before 2pm and it was kind of a madhouse. Someone else seemed to indicate that was an unique situation. I am considering squeezing in a HOHO ride Sunday morning, returning to the hotel for check out and grabbing bags then heading to the pier. That ma
  21. What times is early dismissal and latest, thanks? January 16,2020 Jerry
  22. Thinking of bidding for the Spa Balcony upgrade (We have a mid-ship balcony now - Deck 9). We have 3 people in our room, the bid will charge for the first two people but will the third person also get access to the spa if we are successful? The minimum bid is $125 for 2 person ( $250) and each unlimited spa pass is $139 x 3 people ($417). Seems like the only difference is spa access and moving up to the 14th floor. Alternatively, we can try our luck with Day passes when we board which I read is around $50.
  23. Just curious as to the reason tonight for such a lengthy delay. Anybody know?
  24. Are there beverages available on Deck 12 of the studio lounge, or do you have to go down to 11?
  25. Guidance please. We have two theater shows booked for our upcoming cruise. Question, which floor and where are the reserved seats and are there wheelchair spaces in that area. DW has spine problems where she can't raise the angle of her head and look upwards. If the only reserved seating area is at the level of the stage, then that would be a no-no for her. Thank you.
