  1. Hi I was wondering if the Explorer will go in a dry-dock soon or not, I read it was scheduled for 2020 but it was cancelled, I really cant find the latest update about this ship. Thank you so much
  2. Also booked on a B2B on Explorer in Feb 2022, lift and shift from this Feb. love those Southern Caribbean itineraries!
  3. I'll be on Explorer for my B2B March 2022...it was originally Freedom. Would have preferred FOS but at least it was priced less and I got the same cabin category and ports stayed the same.
  4. Interesting to note Explorer returns to the ABC route after they yanked it from there for Winter 2021/22 in favor of Radiance. Didn't Explorer go to San Juan for this winter's Caribbean season?
  5. Complete list of the long Caribbean itineraries: Explorer: https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/deployment/2022_2023/Explorer_2022_2023_Long_Carib.pdf Grandeur: https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/deployment/2022_2023/Grandeur_2022_2023_Long_Carib.pdf Jewel: https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/deployment/2022_2023/Jewel_2022_2023_Long_Carib.pdf Odyssey: https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/deployment/2022_2023/Odyssey_2022_2023_Long_Carib.pdf Vision: https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/deployment/2022_2023/Vision_2022_2023_Lon
  6. True, had better but Cruising SOLO like the Class and my Aft/Corners. Have be careful at times doing B3B paid too much on one leg just to not brake up the set... Be interesting if thats it for the week. Think about 14 new ones, none longer 10/11/12. Still a blank on Vision, hope shes not leaving and Jewel Jan-Spring, both TA? ...Explorer MIA 8n, at least going to Aruba. Haven't been on this ship in 20years...
  7. We had #9624 in Oct 2019 for our Snowbird and even though the balcony on Adventure is 1st generation with the balcony part of the hull it made no big difference to us. Will be on Explorer March 2022 (B2B) in #1300 and I'm sure it won't bother us then either.
  8. Seeing these pictures makes me feel bad. I had 1854 booked on Freedom sailing out of Puerto Rico for this March. The cruise was, of course, cancelled. I couldn't rebook it for next March because Freedom is being replaced by Explorer. I couldn't book it on Explorer because there are only 2 rooms like that & they were both booked. I ended up booking Freedom for March 2022 in the same cabin, but I couldn't do a lift & shift because the itinerary is different. So I ended up paying over $1500 more for a cruise out of Galveston. I got the cabin, but with a lesser itinerary & high
  9. Sailed on Adventure Sept 2019 Cape Liberty to Quebec. I really liked the ship. Adventure is a Voyager class ship (Voyager, Explorer, Adventure, Navigator, Mariner, ) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voyager-class_cruise_ship https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventure_of_the_Seas
  10. Love this class of RCI ship we've sailed on Mariner and will be doing a B2B in March 2022 on Explorer. We sailed on Adventure last Oct 2019 on the Snowbird Migration itinerary. I wouldn't hesitate to book her on any destination especially a long itinerary.
  11. Our dilemma is our 8 night 5/8/21 Indy Cruise is cancelled as expected, but because of “like for like” our only 8 day option out of Miami is the Explorer. Seeing as the Explorer hasn’t had an inside refurb since 2005 we really don’t want to book that ship. Yes, we could cancel, take a NCC, but we don’t want to give up the pricing we have and paying far more with pricing as it is now. We are hoping RC lets us change to a 7 night cruise but I doubt that.
  12. Hi, I’m trying to investigate a Lift & Shift. We have the month of May 2022 to rebook. Problem is, our canceled trip is 6 nights. There is only 1 sailing from Miami that is 6 nights and it’s a smaller ship that we aren’t interested in. We are currently book/canceled on Independence and the only option is Explorer. How does that work? Any chance we could pay the extra night for a more equivalent ship?
  13. I totally agree. I could be wrong but I wouldn't read too much into the survey. When I took it I felt as if this was a marketing survey more than anything. Mine was for our Symphony September 2022 sailing and not our November 2021 Explorer.
  14. i have an extra Explorer block that i will trade for the Ovation block.
  15. Same here. Was asked about the Liberty of the Seas in 2022 (backup cruise to use FCC) but not my Explorer of the Seas (9 days.....ugh....I know) in October 2021. I just want them to say that cruise is no more. Glad I booked with a refundable deposit.
  16. I'm booked on a B2B out of San Juan March 2022 on Explorer which was originally going to be Freedom. I believe nothing has been released yet after April 2022....keep checking.
  17. I tend to prefer relatively smaller ships, but I was not very happy on Explorer when I cruised on one of her last cruises pre-Covid (March 2020). Many of the employees were great, especially the hysterically funny washy-washy guy, Jaime, at the Windjammer entrance during dinner and late night. Most employees tried to do their jobs with a smile. However, the ship was in pretty rough shape. I can handle tired decor and some missed maintenance, but it was surprisingly bad. As an example, one of my closet doors came off and almost hit me in the head. My cabin steward saw i
  18. I like Explorer (and the great itineraries out of San Juan) however I would choose Odyssey (because it is new and will be fabulous 😁)
  19. If it’s San Juan vs Fl and 7vs 6 I take Explorer and the 7 night.
  20. I’d go with the longer cruise. Both ships will have dinner and dancing. I’m giving a simplified answer. We spent two weeks on Explorer in Nov 2019 and it was great. RCI takes pretty good care of their ships, even the older ones sure are nice.
  21. My Freedom March 2022 B2B out of San Juan was changed to Explorer this past October...fine with us....less expensive and same ports.
  22. Cost is about the same, Explorer 7 nights, Odyessey 6 nights. We love the nightlife and dancing.
  23. Need help deciding on either the Explorer or Odyessey, March 2022 sailing. Explorer has a great itinerary, but an older ship, that has not been refurbished since 2015. Odyessey is new ship, I've never been on a newer ship, as they don't sail out of San Juan. We sail yearly out of San Juan, last cruise was 2019 was Freedom which we liked. Should we concerned on age of Explorer? We like the port intensive cruise, but are concerned about the age of the ship, size of pools, gym and other facilities.
