I called C&A to Lift and Shift my January 9 cruise on Monday. Because I had not yet received email approval by this morning I logged in to my RCI account and there it was on my future cruise list. I promptly called for a better cabin since they had assigned us a Junior Suite next to the forward elevator lobby and got an aft JS. The old cruise was Enchantment 7 nights, San Juan and the new one is Explorer 7 nights, San Juan. We had already booked a friends' group cruise for Jan 2022 on Norwegian Epic out of San Juan and now we're going side-to-side.

New Back to Back Rules Through 11/1/21
pcur replied to Kokomo91165's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I'm waiting to hear from RCCL about our b2b2b next May on the Explorer for 4, 5, 5 nights each. I know you can buy home testing kits now for $100 - $150, plus I agree that the cruise lines will likely work something out for consecutive cruisers with testing in the medical center onboard. RCCL is working closely with the CDC through their Healthy Sail Panel, so we'll see what they work out. I'm hoping a negative test the day before turnaround day will be sufficient. -
We're on the Explorer on 1.9.22. The deluxe beverage package was $84 pp per day. Today, it is $50 pp per day. Still too high for us, especially since this is a very port intensive cruise, plus we're diamond members. We have already purchased the lunch in Chops on the day of embarkation, but that price didn't change.

If you're talking about the 9 night Greek Isles Explorer cruise that would have left on Aug 30, I would have been on that cruise also. I found what looked like a great Ephesus guide (named Sado) who promised no shopping. Was really looking forward to it. I felt really bad having to cancel on him. He understood but I got the impression that all of the cancelations were hurting him badly. Sigh. I've been going naked lately. My phone that is. I just put a glass protector on the face. I like the look of the phone better than the case, it's smaller in my pocket, and th

I did my lift and shift online then called the next day because I really wanted only 1 sailing and chose 2 more that were not as good. The rep was able to help me in 10 minutes. I would definitely call. Who knows when the next round of cancellations will be and the wait times will be horrendous if it happens. I went from the enchantment port intensive out of san juan to the explorer out of san juan with st Martin and the ABCS. 2 different itineraries. 2 different ships.

New Cancellation Explorer 10/25/21 Galveston to Miami
leen50 replied to badvector's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We booked Explorer 10/06/21- 9 nt. Galveston round trip- to replace the cancelled repo from N.J to Galveston. With the now 'no longer than 7 days' statement, I wonder what will happen. If they do switch it to a 7 day, I hope to be able to switch w/o penalty. -
Big Jump in Cruise Price = Bad Sign?
Ourusualbeach replied to LuCruise's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Good is a relative term and I wasn’t referring to good prices. This conversation was referring to the massive price increases for some ships. take a look at this pricing for Oasis. Up until the end of March it’s almost $3000 pp then starting in April it drops. Many ships are like this now. Most likely the high priced sailings will not sail. As far as great deals, those are few and far between but there are still reasonably priced sailings out there. Maybe not for the ship or itinerary and time you want but there are some. Lots if you have a TA with group rates (ba -
Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How are things where YOU are?

We had a great turkey dinner last year on Explorer. Thought about getting a turkey for this year, but, we really like chicken better. So rotisserie chicken from Publix this year and a great turkey dinner on Harmony next year. Wishing all have a blessed holiday season. God is good. -
I totally agree with you. Long gone will be the Aruba and Curacao ports that we originally booked this cruise for (even though if you look at the summer of 2022, the Explorer does an 8 day cruise and actually adds a 4th port - one more than on the Indy cruise, somehow). If they switch us to a 7 day East/West, I personally prefer a west to replace the west one we will be cancelling for March. Also hoping we finally get to Coco Cay. We have not been there yet and have always wanted to go there. That is exactly what I was thinking...

Bonaire - Future Cruises
travelhound replied to Smartipantz's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We were booked on an ABC 9 day on Explorer for March 26th, but rescheduled for a 7 day on the 28th on Allure, to be CDC compliant. We didn't think the CDC would lift the 7 day restriction soon enough for that cruise. The itinerary is not as good, but at this point we will be happy to sail anywhere at that time 🙂 -
There is a January 2022 Explorer of the seas that does all 3 ABCs

I'm sure Freedom January 2021 is toast. We shifted a B2B2B then to 2022. Now it's been moved to Explorer. Who knows if that will even stay the same..... Since they cancelled our October Jewel cruise, the January 22' cruises are all we have booked. Thankfully.

Summer 2022 Caribbean is posted!!
NateUpNorth replied to Scoobydobe7's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Huh. And here I thought Explorer had been moved to San Juan, replaced in Miami by Radiance. I guess that was just in the current "let's find a way to drive cancellations of bookings at lower prices" they've got going on moving ships around and switching itineraries. LOL -
