  1. We had a great turkey dinner last year on Explorer. Thought about getting a turkey for this year, but, we really like chicken better. So rotisserie chicken from Publix this year and a great turkey dinner on Harmony next year. Wishing all have a blessed holiday season. God is good.
  2. They were on the 80’s cruise charter that sailed from March 8th-15th.
  3. I totally agree with you. Long gone will be the Aruba and Curacao ports that we originally booked this cruise for (even though if you look at the summer of 2022, the Explorer does an 8 day cruise and actually adds a 4th port - one more than on the Indy cruise, somehow). If they switch us to a 7 day East/West, I personally prefer a west to replace the west one we will be cancelling for March. Also hoping we finally get to Coco Cay. We have not been there yet and have always wanted to go there. That is exactly what I was thinking...
  4. Anyone who has recently been on the Explorer of the Seas, this question is for you. What is currently on Deck 11 forward of the solarium?
  5. We had an ABC cruise scheduled for November 12, 2021 on the Explorer of the Seas. Mid October, Royal moved people to a "similar" cruise on Radiance of the Seas (Labadee, San Juan, St. Maartin, St. Kitts, St. Croix and Dominican Republic). We specifically booked our cruise for the ABC islands. I went to look into rebooking another ABC cruise and it appears that none of the itineraries include Bonaire for any future cruises. They include Aruba and Curacao but not Bonaire. Does anyone know why that is? We are super bummed because Bonaire is our favorite!
  6. Can the balcony partitions be opened on the Explorer?
  7. Since I enjoy hearing what people have to say about their cruises, I thought I would give some quick feedback on our recent one. DH and I were on the Feb. 7 9 night sailing of the Explorer of the Seas and had a wonderful time. We were a little concerned after some recent reviews, but we were pleasantly pleased with how the cruise went. The ship is still in great shape getting ready to go into dry dock. The service was terrific and we both agreed that the food was very good. Main dining room was great the first night. We went there a few other times, but found we preferred the
  8. I know this is really far out but I’ve seen an ABC itinerary for Explorer leaving March 12, 2021 on a few different sites but it’s no where on Royal Caribbean’s site. Any ideas why? There are cruises before and after that date, it’s like that period is blocked out for EOTS. Possible charter pending? 🤔
  9. We were booked on an ABC 9 day on Explorer for March 26th, but rescheduled for a 7 day on the 28th on Allure, to be CDC compliant. We didn't think the CDC would lift the 7 day restriction soon enough for that cruise. The itinerary is not as good, but at this point we will be happy to sail anywhere at that time 🙂
  10. There is a January 2022 Explorer of the seas that does all 3 ABCs
  11. I'm sure Freedom January 2021 is toast. We shifted a B2B2B then to 2022. Now it's been moved to Explorer. Who knows if that will even stay the same..... Since they cancelled our October Jewel cruise, the January 22' cruises are all we have booked. Thankfully.
  12. Does anyone know if the forward facing cabins on Explorer - 9502,9504, 9202,9204 are the same size? (I know the central ones are bigger because they are family cabins.) I am wondering if you lose square footage if you take the cabins on the end.
  13. Huh. And here I thought Explorer had been moved to San Juan, replaced in Miami by Radiance. I guess that was just in the current "let's find a way to drive cancellations of bookings at lower prices" they've got going on moving ships around and switching itineraries. LOL
  14. Looking to book a Southern Caribbean for 2021. The two cruises that come up that meet what we are looking for is the NCL Breakaway and RCCL Explorer on the seas. They both sail out of Miami and do all but one port the same. Looking for personal opinion on which you would pick and why! We have sailed both cruise lines. We feel they both have goods and bads. But can not decide. Any help in selling one or the other would be appreciated. Quote Edit
  15. We have a 9 nt. 10/06/21 Explorer from Galveston. Waiting as well. Frankly I just don't care anymore. If we cruise, we cruise.
  16. Grettings RC CC's, Here's a video we made that you might find entertaining. DW and I have racked up 18 cruises in the last 10 years including getting engaged on Carnival Glory and married on Celebrity Summit. We've been making cruises video recently and stumbled on footage from our very first cruise on Explorer of the Seas in 2010 that started it all. Here's the link below to the RCL video as well as our Viking, Oceania, Norwegian videos with more on the way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0JSZXzoNOA Please do subscribe if you like it! Enjoy!
  17. We booked this cruise in November and every once in awhile I take a look to check rates, available cabins, etc. The other day I noticed that all balconies on this cruise are sold out, and most ocean view cabins are sold. Most inside cabins also seem to be booked. And looks like half or more of the suites are booked. This seems very odd to me, this far out. I am on the RCCL Meet & Mingle thread for the cruise, and there are several individuals/small groups booked. So I'm wondering what the reason could be that the ship is so booked up this far out. Is it -- -- a RCCL theme
  18. Browser View Hello , I hope you and your loved ones are in good health. This journey we’re on together, as a society and industry, continues on like a marathon in every sense of the word. But where there is change – and there has been quite a lot – there is progress. And that is what we are seeing, slowly but surely. For the cruise industry, the promising news is the latest update from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). They came to the important decision to lift the No Sail Order and published gui

  20. We're booked on Explorer of the Seas December 4th. Looks like she is currently in Poole Bay in the UK. Come on down Explorer!!

  22. So I read this morning that Carnival has canceled all cruises over 7 days through Oct 2021. Do you think Royal will follow? CDC says nothing over 7 days or anything port intensive. Mine is both. I have one now booked on Radiance (was changed by Royal from Explorer) for 9 nights in November 2021. I really thought we'd be safe on the COVID front by that time. Now I'm worried.
  23. On Explorer now - currently day 8 of a 9 Day cruise. My fifth cruise with RC. This a not a full review, Just a couple of observations that have stuck out to us this time: 1. Service is exceptional. The crew in the dining room is our favorite so far, and everyone goes out of their way to please you. 2. Drink card was offered starting on day 4! That’s is the first time we’ve seen it offered so early. It was posted on the first page the the compass the night before (night 3). 3. The cruise compass has significantly shrunk. It is only 4 pages compared to the novels we used to
  24. Down to fewer than 10 days before we cruise, so of course I'm thinking about the FOOD! I heard a podcaster mention the yummy smoothies available at the Vitality Spa on the bigger ships. Does anyone know if something like this can be found on Explorer? We have the Deluxe Drink Package, so I'm looking to get the most out of it, including beyond alcohol. Also, on less healthy note - are there donuts anywhere? Thanks! Fa
