  1. Are the bump out balcony cabins and balconies the same size as a non bump out ones? For example deck 7 regular or bump out.
  2. Hi all! I just wanted to ask for some opinions on whether or not Promenade "windows" are worth the extra $$. I've stayed in interior and balcony staterooms before but have never been on a promenade view room. I personally felt like the balcony was wasted on me because I barely spent any time in it and it didn't help with motion sickness at all so it's not worth the upgrade in my case. Now I'm wondering which of the non-balcony staterooms is right for me. I'm specifically looking at interior vs promenade view. Other than the room feeling slightly bigger, does the window offer any other benefits? Can you enjoy the parades at the Promenade from the room? Is there a way to open the window to let some "fresh" air in? I dismissed OV and those virtual balcony ones because I feel like it would make the motion sickness worse, but I'd love to hear your experiences. I've also considered just booking a guarantee inside room and hoping it's low and midship but don't know how likely that would be.
  3. I've been reading where she's a bit older and maybe not as good of shape as other ships. Should I have booked a different ship? I'm sailing out of Boston for the New England/Canada cruise. Myself and two friends are going. We each booked our own cabin as we all have different sleep patterns and would just annoy the you know what out of each other.
  4. Hi, we are booked on the Voyager Spacious Panaramic cabin deck 12, cabin 1868. Has anyone stayed in this cabin? Can you tell me about it? Thanks😎
  5. "Due to ongoing uncertainty with the re-opening of international borders, as well as subsequent changes to their global return to service, Royal Caribbean has made a few adjustments to their upcoming itinerary offerings. Unfortunately, as a result of these changes, Royal Caribbean has cancelled additional sailings onboard Ovation of the Seas, Quantum of the Seas, Serenade of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas, including your upcoming cruise vacation. Royal Caribbean is offering the following options for impacted sailings: ?100% Refund ?125% Future Cruise Credit"
  6. I am looking for a video of Voyager OTS mini suite #1154 or #1156 after it was refurbished in 2019. We are looking at the cabins for a Baltic Sea cruise. I know that there may not be much out there since the ship was shut down in March 2020 with COVID-19. Thank you in advance if you have anything to share.
  7. My wife and I are trying to decide between multiple European cruises in June/July 2022. The pricing is crazy low on the 7 night Voyager of the Seas from Stockholm with stops in St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Visby, and Helsinki and one day at sea. I know it is an older ship that has been amped up. We are also looking at an 11 night cruise on Enchanted Princess (brand new ship). I know we won't be on the ship very much and the Voyager will be just fine but the Enchanted Princess with the additional ports (Oslo and Berlin) is enticing too. For perspective, pricing per cabin in a large balcony: Voyager (7 nights): $2,399 ($343/night) Enchanted Princess (11 nights): $6,688 ($608/night) Your thoughts are appreciated. Since I am posting this on the RCCL board, I kind of expect where the comments will lean. I wonder if they will be different on the Princess board.
  8. Can anyone tell me about this ship? We booked her for the 10/16/22 sailing to New England😎 Thank you🚢🚢🚢
  9. The wife has put up with me for almost 29 years and I thought it'd be nice to book a 30th anniversary cruise for next June, 2022. We're looking at two options: 7-night Alaska cruise out of Seattle on Quantum 7-night Scandinavia/Russia cruise out of Stockholm, Sweden on Voyager On either we'd go with a Junior Suite. This would be our fourth cruise with RCI, but the first three have all been in the Caribbean. So, if anyone has done one or the other (or both even better) I'd sure like your input, with any pics to boot! Oh, and one other question: is it worth the significant extra cost to upgrade to a Grand Suite from a Junior Suite? Thanks
  10. Seems like a lifetime ago nowadays, but I'm sure a lot of people here know the answer. The Mariner would be the obvious and longest timewise Voyager Class ship he had, but what was it the last? I can't remember, but don't think it's the Mariner.
  11. For anyone who has stayed in this cabin, I'm just wondering if you liked it and what were the pros and cons. Thanks.
  12. We have cabin 8618 booked on Voyager and I want to find out what the bed placement is in this particular cabin. I know years ago someone posted a way to tell but I can't remember what it is and if it applies to all ships. Thanks.
  13. Question - Looking at a few different cruises, saw one that peaked our interest. We have never done full suite before, but have sailed a few Jr Suites. Would a $1400 bump in cost be worth it to move to a Grand suite on a Voyager Class ship on a 4-5-6 night cruise? I know this will be totally subjective, but for those that have sailed both Junior Suites and above, would that extra cost be worth it ? If not, what is your break point to jump up to the next suite level? Thanks for your help?
  14. Hey everybody, Just rescheduled our Baltic cruise that was originally supposed to be last summer for the third time, this time to August 2022 on Voyager. Wondering if anyone has any information on the two rooms we booked, 6502 and 6504. It is our first time in a non-interior room, and our first time in a forward facing room. We know that part of the view is of the helipad, and we think we’re pretty OK with that, we can see the water pat the helipad still though, correct? Anything else interesting about these rooms? Either pros or cons.
  15. Does anyone know of a method to check to see if a ship has been chartered? Looking at Voyager 9/25/22, it seems to disappear that week. Out of Boston the week prior and several weeks after, but that specific week it seems to be a ghost. Eddie
  16. Hi when do you think they will post the Repo cruise from Singapore to Europe on Voyager.
  17. Hello all curious any thoughts on this cabin and location on ship for four adults thanks
  18. Does anyone know what the obstructions are on these cabins on the Voyage deck 9 aft?
  19. I'm an early riser and at 5 AM while searching the TV channels came across "Dream Cruises" on AWC channel. I came across the channel at about 5:05 and missed the intro, however, I was able to recognize that it was a large RCL ship. The description the channel indicated that it was an Adriatic Sea cruise. Anyway, into the program and the host identified the ship as Voyager and the itinerary was Venice, Slovenia, Livorno, Bari, Dubrovnik and back to Venice. Also, they identified one of the SR as Portofino. I've taken some 4 12 niters out of Barcelona and can't recall this itinerary or such a large ship out of Venice. For my simple curiosity, can anyone shed light on the time period and was this a regular itinerary of one-off. I do know that the Yugoslavian civil war ended on or about 2001. Ps. The host made it sound as though it was more current and the program description did not have a time period if it was aired previously.
  20. As Carnival announced it will be retiring most of their Fantasy class ships last week, speculation comes if RCL will follow suit and retire some of the older ships in its fleet as well. RCL has already sold and transferred some of the older class ships like the Sovereign and Vision class ships to its sister companies. It seems like Pullmatur may be seizing operations. The Monarch and Sovereign are currently disembarking valuable equipment and art off the ship. Sad if their run has come to an end and will be scrapped due to this pandemic. Monarch of the Seas being my first cruise, kind of hits a soft spot to see it end this way. The vision and radiance class have not been scheduled to be Amplified as like the larger ships in the fleet. Do you think the Empress, Majesty, the rest of the Vision and Radiance Class will still sail under the RCL flag? Or will RCL follow Carnivals suit and start selling their older ships? I think the Radiance class should survive since RCL still needs mid sized ships to fit in to the smaller ports. Thoughts?
  21. Does anyone know the status of Voyager? There haven't been any new cruises listed for a while. Is she going to the west coast? Any idea when more cruises will be listed?
  22. Has there been any more details on Voyager coming to the West Coast? I was thinking of using my FCC for that but don't see it in the online booking website.
  23. I don't see it posted yet, but some might be interested: https://www.smh.com.au/national/vanuatu-denies-entry-to-cruise-ship-following-influenza-diagnoses-20200229-p545kv.html This is becoming a thing now with crew or passengers coming down with flu causing cruise ships to be rejected by ports. Can't blame either side, but no one wins out of this. Cruisers lose a port, local businesses lose tourism. Covid-19 economic side effects.
  24. Hi folks, I'm hoping to get info from someone who has been in one of the new front facing balconies (1100, 1102, 1104, 1150, 1152) that were added when Navigator and Voyager were amped. I've been able to find videos online for the new junior suites on 11, but nothing showing the balconies in the very front. It looks like the balcony is extra deep and can accommodate lounge chairs, but my travel companion is very worried about the plexiglass wind screens. I was hoping someone might have been in one to give some feedback. amy
  25. Hi, I was thinking of booking either a JR suite or balcony above the bridge on deck 11, and wondering if anyone on here has any experience to share about these rooms. Would love a picture of the balcony, to see what it would look like, and what the view would be like. Thanks!
