  1. This should be an easy question, but when asking Royal Caribbean, they suggested I call the Australian embassy? LOL Departing Sydney, cruising to Melbourne & Hobart Tasmania (which is still part of Australia) seems to me its a DOMESTIC Australia cruise....I received replies that it was a domestic cruise with no immigration formalities when departing the ship, I heard that you clear customs when departing on the ship, and I heard "I really don't know, call the Australian embassy !!! Working for an International Airline for 30+ years and being a Diamond Plus member, I should know this, but unfortunately, I can't get an answer. The reason I need to know is that the ship arrives back in Sydney at 6:30AM, and we have a flight at 11:50AM to Auckland and on to Honolulu...... Want to be off the ship as early as possible and catch a taxi to the Airport. Does anyone have an answer to this crazy question??? Thanks in advance, Mike

  3. Does anyone know which port in Da Nang Voyager of the seas will dock in September this year? All documentation says Chan May but all other available information seems to imply that it will be Tien Sa. Has anyone been there recently? Thanks
  4. Hi all, We are on cruising on the Voyager of the seas in September ( the last one before she gets a make over) I am wanting to know if there is a public laundry area that i can iron my clothes in ?? also ... Are the gym classes eg: yoga etc free or do you have to pay for ?? Thanks
  5. So the official page from Royal Caribbean does not include British Citizens on the list of visa free entries to Vietnam (from this page, and calling them to confirm: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/international-ports-travel-considerations) However I have been to Vietnam several times visa free, and the gov.uk says the following: "Until 30 June 2021, ‘British Citizen’ passport holders travelling for tourism or business can enter Vietnam for up to a maximum of 15 days (inclusive of dates of entry and exit) without a visa." (https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/vietnam/entry-requirements) They are adamant they must get me a visa and charge for it, I wonder how much they make charging Brits when they don't need one to start with... Edit: We also get stateroom 7290, decent?
  6. Hi guys, I am sailing on the voyager on a 5 night Singapore to Singapore (goes to Malaysia) in November -she’s bout to get a refurb yay! Ok question time for those who have sailed on her on a Singapore cruise - do they still have a diamond lounge ? I read somewhere they don’t allow diamond and above in it as it turns into a high roller casino is that right? What do they do with the diamond and above members if we aren’t allowed in it - do they convert another bar or another lounge into a diamond lounge access? I know there will be a few diamond members on this cruise as Im apart of the cruise group for that sailing and we are also all doing the repositioning cruise back to Australia straight after this cruise Cheers
  7. Looks like Voyager is scheduled to leave Singapore for 9 nights to Hong Kong on 6/29/19. Gotta wonder what things will be like with 2 million protesting in the streets yesterday. Another cruise leaves from Hong Kong on 7/12 and perhaps there is a 4 day cruise leaving on 7/8, but nothing shows on RCCL website. The question remains, what will Royal do if there are still protests at that time? Appears it would be difficult to skip Hong Kong since it is both a disembarkation and an embarcation port. Has anything similar to this ever happened before and what was the remedy?
  8. Hoping y'all can help us make a decision on which rooms to book... we are looking at booking a 6 night Western Caribbean cruise on Adventure of the Seas in March 2020. We need 2 adjoining rooms for a total of 6 people, and options are limited. The choices are complicated by the fact that I am *very* prone to motion sickness. We have interior options available mid-ship on deck 6 (mid and low are best for motion sickness in general), but would love balcony rooms, which are only available in the far back on Deck 10 (1670/1672 or 1370/1372). Do you think we would feel much of a difference in motion in far back Deck 10 vs mid ship Deck 6? We sailed the Mediterranean twice on the Brilliance of the Seas (a smaller boat, but calmer waters), and did a Caribbean cruise on Allure of the Seas (obviously a much larger ship), and I was totally fine on all 3 cruises except for a night or two on Brilliance when there were exceptionally rough seas (they had to close areas of the ship). The balcony rooms look AMAZING, but not worth me feeling horrible... Our exact itinerary would be: Fort Lauderdale Cruising George Town, Grand Cayman, Puerto Costa Maya, Mexico Cozumel, Mexico Cruising Fort Lauderdale Thank you!!!
  9. Silly question but is there a clothesline in inside cabins on Voyager of the Seas?
  10. Hi All To my understanding Voyager of the Seas will return from Singapore Dry docks to Australia in latter 2019 after it has undergone its Amplified refurbishment. Does anybody understand if the existing gym will be moved AFT to what is currently the Childrens Adventure Zone? and as part of that relocation the Mens and Womans free Dry and Wet sauna will be removed? I believe that is what happened on Navigator of the Seas. Cheers
  11. We are doing the Singapore to Hong Kong cruise in a few weeks on Voyager of the Seas. Looking at the drinks packages they only let you have wine by the glass which is not very convenient if you want to go back to your room and share a bottle. Does anyone have a copy of a wine list with prices (bottle and glass)? And can you buy a bottle from the bar and take it to your room? Or just a guideline of the price of a glass or a bottle of the cheaper/average priced offerings? I guess it will be in US dollars. Thanks in advance
  12. Debating if I need cardigans for aboard ships. I have a windbreaker for the airplane but wonder if I want something nicer for dining room and lounges and shows. With the number if people on the ship in a warm part of the world (Asia, summer), what is the indoor temperature?
  13. Gidday! Have a large family group cruising next year on Voyager. Most are booked in the aft of the ship and I was wondering if the AMP upgrade has affected any of the aft balconies. Especially interested in 7388 and 7688. Thanking you in advance. TraceyG 😊
