  1. Where can you get eggs benedict on Allure? We are in a JS so CK is not an option.
  2. Hey guys! We are cruising on the Allure soon and I was looking through the website and came across Insiders View... Momma Mia. Has anyone done this? Is it worth the money ($49.00)?
  3. Hi all, wanting some advice on if I am absolutely crazy for considering a 9:40 AM flight from FLL the same day as Allure disembarkation? Based on price, it is either then or at 8:30PM. We would do self assist off the ship and we both have global entry with Pre-check so hopeful airport security will be fast. Does Global entry work for customs for disembarkation? I would never really consider this time other then seeing previous reviews with early departures, but not sure this early. Thanks for any direction you can provide.
  4. I am looking for advice regarding cellphone usage for our Allure cruise leaving 6/16. I have AT&T --iPhone. I was planning to get the $100 unlimited calls and texts package for the cruise from AT&T. Then, use the $10 per day International Plan while were are in St Martin and Labadee--I know I can use the phone as normal on San Juan. What are suggestions for cellphone usage during the cruise? It stinks to have to work, but it has to happen for me.
  5. We are on the Allure on July 28th. Does anyone know if the Allure offers the program that delivers your luggage to the Ft. Lauderdale Airport? We are flying on JetBlue and our flight leaves at Noontime. We are travelling with 10 family members and it would be a great help to have our luggage delivered to the airport. I am not sure if it is the ship or the airline offers the service. I just remember hearing about it on another cruise. Thank you for your help.
  6. Hi! Just finished a fabulous cruise on the Allure of the Seas 05/26/2019-06/02/2019! We totally enjoyed every minute of it, except maybe the lines for "my time dining" (but we figured that out too).. If you have any questions, I would be happy to try to answer them. We had an Ocean balcony room on the 6th floor, which we found to be an excellent location and felt next to no motion and had no noise issues! We are so jealous of all of you future cruisers and can't wait to go back!! Patti!!
  7. Hi we are on the Allure of the Seas July 31st and looking at booking a pretty early flight home. Do you know how the self disembark process is on a ship so large? I was on MSC in January and thankfully had Yacht Club otherwise we would have never made it off the ship in time. It was a crazy mess. Tyia!
  8. We are booked in a Grand Suite on the Allure for 6/16, first time in Sky Class with Royal and excited to see how it compares to The Haven on NCL. Few questions, first will concierge reach out to me, we are only 11 days out and I haven't heard from them yet? Should I go ahead and make show reservations or do we just go to the shows and show our card for priority seating? The only show not available in our planner is the comedy show, should I email concierge about it or wait until we get onboard to see if a spot opens up? Also, it may be too late, but if we want a cabana on Labadee should we email them about that or just wait until we board? Final question, if I should be the one to reach out to concierge, what is the email address to use?
  9. Has anyone sailed in the 2 bdr grand suites on Allure or Oasis? Is the 2nd bdr an actual bdr not just bunk beds in a "closet"? Thank you in advance and if anyone has pics I would appreciate it
  10. I recently watched a 2018 room review for the Allure of the Seas. In this gentlemen's review, he showed the US power outlet on the vanity but I didn't see anything regarding the European outlets in the room. Does anyone have pictures to share of all the outlets? I have read that now that RCCL is confiscating the "cruise approved" extra power adapters (without cord) and was looking into taking a European converter adapter instead. I also read that just taking a USB power adapter is better and cruise compliant. Sorry to beat a dead horse here but I have a large wedding party going in September 2019 (my daughter is getting married on the Allure) and several are first-time cruisers and were asking me. I just don't know. All of our party has a Balcony stateroom (eight rooms). TIA
  11. Live on Allure Tendering medical emergency to Grand Cayman will still make Cozumel in morning We were really booking it this morning!
  12. So I will be cruising the Thanksgiving sailing on the Allure of the Seas this fall and since I just got off a super fun cruise, I wanted to create something fun to try while onboard! I have a small group with me but I wanted to share this with fellow cruisers or anyone who wants to do this on another sailing! I have no idea if this would be fun or not, but I will attach the document I created. Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated! If you are on my sailing, please join us!!! 13. Hey Everyone! So the wife and I just booked our first RC Cruise for Dec. 8th on Allure of the Seas. Kids are staying at home with the grandparents! (Sad but happy at the same time) We are by no means cruise newbies, but all of our past 7 cruises have been on Carnival. So, we are defiantly filled with excitement and anxiety! I'm still trying to do research of RC ways of life and the Allure's features as well. Can anyone give any tips or insights to the biggest changes we will notice? There is just so much going on, on the ship and so much to take in. We love to explore and see everything, so it looks like were going to be quite busy. We are booked in room 12592 (Ocean View with Large Balcony). I'm worried about being that high up that we will feel a good bit of rocking. Wife gets sea sick if we rock bad. We normally stay on deck 6 or 7 on Carnival Ships. Our other options were decks 6 or 7, but they are all adjoining rooms, and we were worried about the noise from the other rooms. Any insight? Favorite Bars? Favorite spots to relax? Favorite restaurants (Paid and free) Anything else that you suggest to do/plan ahead for (Seems like you have to book shows in advance?)? As always, thanks in advance for all of the help from the CC Family! Josh
  14. We are sailing on The Allure in two weeks. DH has a really bad knee. We have been assigned to Muster Station E04 . We are in Cabin 12254. Does anyone know where E04 is located? Are we able to go to the station early to take advantage of the elevator rather than take the stairs? On our recent HAL cruise, we had to wait in our room for the drill to begin and then wait for the elevators to take us down to the station. I would like to avoid that big crowd by going earlier, is this allowed?
  15. We'll be on the Allure of the seas next week. Does anyone know what movies are playing?
  16. Hello Cruise Friends… It's time for everyone to sail along on the powerfully and mysteriously attractive and fascinating Allure of the Seas... It's been 6 years since I've sailed on Lady Allure...Where my love for Oasis Class ships began... About 72 days ago I departed the fourth and newest Oasis class, Symphony of the Seas, so its fitting that my next cruise be back on where it all began...I'm very fortunate that for this 2019 cruise season I'll be sailing on all four of these big beautiful ladies. Below is my very first sailing "Live" from the Allure of the Seas... "Live" from Allure of the Seas. November 17-24, 2013 Allure photos in these first few post are from sailing on her during Round One. Some of my other most recent "Live" trip reports with Oasis class ships... "Live" From Symphony of the Seas. February 9-16, 2019 - Trainman-2 Tribute "Live" from Oasis of the Seas, November 4-11, 2018. "Live" from Harmony of the Seas, September 8-15, 2018 "Live" from the Oasis of the Seas, November 12-19, 2017 part One Our itinerary during the next 7 days and 7 nights: This cruise I've got an interior room thanks to Casino Royale. About 59 days prior to this cruise I got the RoyalUp email. With that I decided to make another bid for a neighborhood balcony. On my Symphony cruise I had made a bid and was awarded a Boardwalk Balcony. This cruise as of now my luck didn't play out as well, I bid the lowest bid possible of $150 for a total of $300. As of now its onward with an interior room. If you like food, you're in luck! This cruise we opted for the "Unlimited Dining Package". If you remember on my last cruise on Symphony of the Seas we opted out of the Ultimate Dining Package. We decided to give the BOGO a whirl and venture into the main dining room and windjammer. Sorry if that is what you're looking for, my visits to those venues will be limited to non-existent this trip. On my Symphony cruise it was interesting going back into the main dining room again as I hadn't frequented the dining room since my Rhapsody of the seas cruise February 2018. If you like sarcasm with a touch of dry dull humor you might be in luck as I might be able to deliver that. Throw back..... Internet cost bought on day one of the cruise back on November 17, 2013... Wow so expensive, this cruise I've paid $83.93 at $11.99 per day for the Surf and Stream for the week. Welcome aboard! Sit back, relax and get ready to go cruising! Till a later time, soon to be "Live" from "Allure of the Seas!"
  17. Does Allure have a way to text with other guests aboard? Trying to decide if its worth getting the internet package for our kids to keep in touch with us or if there's a free option through the app. The reps say no but I swear I've seen it on here that there is something available. If it is available - how does it work? Thanks!
  18. Hi-Husband and I are on the Allure in October. This will be our first time on Oasis class ships. We are on deck ten in a boardwalk balcony with great view of the AQ. Any tips, recommendations etc? We will have my time dining so wondering if there is an assigned dining room for MTD people? Does the solarium get very crowded? What is your favorite drinking venue? Thanks!
  19. Anyone know how strict they are with 18, my son is 17 and I have no problem with the show for him. He hears worse at school and on you tube. I can't get him a ticket but my mom has one and the show is not appropriate for her(hee hee). She was hoping they would let him in with us. Thanks
  20. Does anyone know where the daily puzzle are kept. On most Royal ships I found them in the library. I like to do them with my morning coffee. Thanks in advance for any advice
  21. I am reposting this because my original review was closed because it was hijacked. I’m hoping this will not happen again. The reason for reposting is because some may have questions and I truly want to share the fabulous time I had on the Allure of the seas and being Star class. I’m going to do a short review of my Allure cruise May 26 - June 2. i have an outside casino host who books all my casino trips. I met him 20 years ago at the Rio in Vegas. Last year he retired from caesars entertainment and him and his wife opened their own casino travel company. I have been pretty loyal to NCL and getting comps on my own direct through casinos at sea. My host bill sends out emails saying what cruises he will be sailing. One of them was the May 26th Allure cruise. So I asked one of my friends if she wanted to go and she said yes and her mom and her daughter would join us. I spoke to my host and said ok we are in what can you get us. He was able to book us a Crown loft suite for $95 each WOW ok booked!!!! About 3 months before the cruise we received the Royal Up email to bid on either the 1 bedroom ATS starting at $100 pp or the 2 bedroom ATS starting at $400 pp or the Star loft suite starting at $800 pp. didn’t make sense to bid on the 1 bedroom ATS because it was still Sky class and we would be giving up a bathroom and we thought bidding $800 pp for the Star loft was to expensive so we ended up bidding $500 pp for the 2 bedroom ATS which was star class. I played around with the bid in the next few weeks bidding up and down but settled on the $500 pp which was $100 over minimum. We figured if we got it it’s only $250 pp for the 4 of us since the bid is only for the first 2 passengers. Several days before our cruise I got the congratulations you’ve been upgraded email. We were so excited we could barely contain ourselves. We flew into Fort Lauderdale the day before from New Jersey and we decided to be cheap on our hotel and booked the Days Inn cruise port airport. DUMP don’t ever stay here. We waited over an hour for their free shuttle to the hotel. Once we got there I asked if they could put us in a low floor near an elevator room. They put us in the back on the 4th floor far far away from elevator. There was only 5 floors so no not a low floor. We put our bags in the room and headed to the hard rock casino via Uber which was $15. We had some dinner there and played for a bit but was so exhausted so headed to hotel to get some sleep. cruise day was finally here hooray. The hotel had a shuttle to the port for $10 pp so we took that at 9 am and arrived at the port about 9:30. We were directed to the door that said “suites” once we told a porter we were star class he grabbed our bags and said follow me. About 10 am the doors opened and we along with our bags were ushered right through security and met with a women who took us to check in and then brought us upstairs to a suite waiting area. After 5 minutes our genie Anna Liao came to greet us. We knew after 3 minutes with her we loved her.
  22. Hello, My wife and I will be sailing on the Allure to Haiti, Jamaica and Cozumel, leaving out of Ft. Lauderdale in a few weeks. I'd like to know if the Allure will be offering any great deals on purchasing alcohol during our cruise Thanks prince34
  23. Please forgive me for a dress code post. I've looked for answers and found it difficult to find anything with the search function on CC. We are sailing with a large family group in late June. I was asked by some in the family if men or young boys can wear dress shorts in the MDR. My husband always wears long pants with a nice shirt and a sports coat. I have informed all the males that they need to wear long pants with a nice shirt each night. However, we will be in the Caribbean and it is going to be hot. The boys are 9, 12 and 13 and they dislike wearing long pants in the summer. Other than the two formal nights, do men wear shorts in the MDR?
  24. I am traveling with a large group for an 80th year birthday cruise on Allure of the Seas - June 23, 2019. We have to all eat together in the Main Dining Room at 5:15 pm to satisfy the older people and kids in the group. I am not usually hungry at that time so will only eat a little. Does anyone know if some of us can book a second dinner at one of the fee-based restaurants later that night?
  25. My brother is joining us on our Allure cruise. He booked 11644 which was the only OS left since he booked well after the rest of us made final payment. It's a great room but he is concerned that it has a connecting door and it will be noisy. Anyone have any feedback on 11644? Thanks!
