  1. Hi, can anyone comment on the Chefs Table on Anthem? We did it twice on Brilliance which was wonderful both times and had its own special venue, but when we did it on Explorer it was shoved up the back of Chops with a sad looking room partition and no atmosphere at all. The Chef was obviously busy with the restaurant and not us, and the host knew nothing about the food or wine pairings. We are keen to try again on Anthem but only if the venue and service matches what one would expect for the price...
  2. I believe she should have left at 4 pm but she's still in port. Northstar going up. Any ideas.
  3. For those of you who have purchased guarantee cabin, how far in advance of your sailing were you assigned your cabin number. Also, has anyone been paid for Balcony Guarantee and been assigned Superior Balcony Guarantee? ...a girl can dream
  4. Which is the best cabin with the least obstructed views (divots or lifeboats) please... if such a thing exists!!! Â I was about to select 6304 but then read about noise from the kitchens of Jamies below. Â TIA.
  5. Hi all I tried searching and didn't find the answer so I apologize if this has been discussed already. I know there are non-alcoholic drink packages for soda, coffee etc. Are any of these worth getting? (I love coffee and prob have about 3 cups per day) I was also wondering if you don't get one of these packages does that mean you have to pay if you order a soda or coffee in the restaurants during dinnertime? Thanks!
  6. We purchased smoothies and protein drinks at Vitality Cafe on Symphony Of The Seas. We are thinking of purchasing cruise on Anthem Of The Seas. Appreciate if anyone who has taken a recent cruise on Anthem Of The Seas can advise if smoothies and protein drinks are available and if so, which bar(s). Thanks.
  7. I used to have a generic address for the casino host on board ships. I need to reach out to him/her before my upcoming Anthem cruise. Would someone please share the email address with me?
  8. We booked a last minute cruise on the Anthem and bought the 3-night SDP. We plan on eating at Chops, Jamie's, and Wonderland. We don't want to waste calories on crappy desserts, which ones do you guys enjoy and which ones should we skip? Right now if I had to pick one from each based on the menus, I would get the Key Lime Pie from Chops, the Cheesecake from Jamie's, and The World from Wonderland. On a lesser note, which desserts from the MDR and buffet would you recommend? Which ones should we skip? I hear the apple pie from the MDR is good?
  9. FYI... just booked my drink + internet at the lowest price I've seen since we booked our 12/1 Anthem sailing about a year ago. Paid $466.74 per person for the Unlimited Beverage + Voom.
  10. hI all when does entertainment of anthem of the seas normally open for booking ? thanks for your replies
  11. Hi all I was hoping someone could give me some feedback on RC Anthem of the Seas. My family just booked a cruise on this ship from Nov 23rd - Dec 1st (Thanksgiving Week) leaving Bayonne NJ to Orlando and the Bahamas. It is my and my siblings' first time cruising; my parents' second. Last cruise they went on was in the Mediterranean on Celebrity. Since then my dad unfortunately suffered a stroke and now has mobility issues on his left side. He can walk a little bit with a cane but heavily relies on a wheelchair. I was wondering if anyone that has been on this ship, or any RC cruise can advise on activities, either onboard or shore excursions, that might be suitable for him, especially if anyone has experience cruising with or with someone that has a disabilty. We have 3 staterooms booked on Deck 3 (one is accessible) and I saw that this deck has the main dining room, another restaurant (Chic), casino, and music hall, so he should have no problem accessing those. I know they also do some kind of Thanksgiving spread for the holiday.. I'm guessing this would be in the main dining room? I would love a sample menu if anyone could share. I did a little research and found some info on this board specifically for Anthem, but I would greatly appreciate any other input/advice anyone could provide. We were thinking of checking out the Kennedy Space Center at Port Canaveral if that might not be too strenuous.. not sure about excursions in Nassau/CocoCay. Side note: We will also be traveling with a 21 month old. I know they have a play area for babies/toddlers and my sister might take him to Disney if there is time. Do they have a kiddie pool onboard? Sorry for the long post! I just want to make sure everyone enjoys this trip since it's the first family vacation we are taking in years. Thanks everyone
  12. Hi, I am getting mixed information about the Royal Babies & Tots Nursery requirements. I believe there is a new requirement that a parent must be present for children under 36 months. Does anyone know if: Exceptions are often made? What the requirements are the exceptions? If there is anything else we can do? Thank You, CB
  13. August 2019 - Anthem of the Seas - 5 Night Bermuda Cruise Who are we? Noreen - 51 years old; Senior Vice President at an Investment Banking Firm in New York City. I will be the author of the report. Scott - 50 years old; my husband; Independent Contractor and Co-Owner of Bounce U in NY General Comments I am doing this from memory and looking through my pictures. I sent myself some texts throughout the trip to help me remember what we did. I like detailed reviews with a lot of information some people may not care about. I write these reviews as a travelogue that I can go back and enjoy later and hopefully to help others planning similar trips. We have been on Anthem several times so don’t do all the things most people would do the first time on the ship. We enjoy the casino and spend time most evenings there. We pretty much go with the flow and always have a good time, especially on vacation.
  14. Does anyone have a Royal Babies Nursery schedule or the child program "dailies" from a recent Anthem of the Seas sailing? I'm curious about the hours of operation. Thank you!!
  15. Sorry for the last minute question, but I sail tomorrow (YAY). I've seen a few posts about the ships making almond milk available. I've even seen pictures of a couple of the brands. I'm looking for sugar free / unsweetened almond milk. I've seen pictures on other ships that have it. Anybody know if Anthem does? TIA
  16. Anyone familiar with this inside cabin? One sides backs up to chimney stack/white area. Is it noisy? Any staff entries nearby with slamming doors?
  17. Can someone give me the name of the current Anthem LA and his/her email? Thank you.
  18. We will be on Anthem of the Seas October 24. I was trying to find out if there is a charge to go on Northstar. I thought it was free but I read somewhere that they charged you if you made a reservation and did not show up. My husband thought he heard there also were two different options when you went up. Thank you in advance for any advice on this.
  19. If I purchase the unlimited dining package, does that include food in Johnny Rockets and The Brass and Brock Pub for lunch? What does it not include? Thanks Loralie
  20. I am planning a cruise in the Grand suite of Anthem or Oasis/Allure. We want to book the Grand suite because it allows us to dine at the Coastal Kitchen. One thing that affects to my decicion which ship to choose is if I think we have to buy alcohol drink package at Anthem but not on Oasis / Allure. For example both of us would like to drink 2 glasses of wine with lunch and dinner, and if I have understood correctly in oasis class ships when dining at the coastal kitchen we could get those drinks free from the suite lounge bar? In addition to that we would never drink enough to get the drink package ”worth it”. 😀 But what is the situation with Anthem? If we dine always at the Coastal Kitchen can we get free drinks? Can you get bottled sparkling water from the suite lounge? And can you take it to your room? Very thankful if someone could help me. 😀
  21. Does anyone or can anyone cruising the Bermuda itinerary they just started in October have the compass... Trying to prepare for my October 19 sailing.
  22. I would be very grateful if anyone could tell me the dining times of all the eateries on the Anthem. Is there somewhere where we can get a drink and a biscuit/cookie late evening, about 11 pm? Thanks.
  23. Just wondering if anyone who has recently sailed Anthem could tell me what time the self-assist walk off time is? I need to pre-book a shuttle service for our group of 10 from Port Liberty to Newark to arrive by 11am. We are a mixed group with gold to D+ members so we were planning to all do walk off with our luggage but I need to know a set time to schedule the shuttle for pick up. Wondering if we're all in line by 8:00am or 8:30am if that will leave sufficient time to walk off by 9:00-9:30and have the driver meet us. We are looking to use Dial 7 car service in a Sprinter shuttle unless someone has a better suggestion. Thanks, Cindy
  24. Our first time on the Anthem. We have connecting cabins on Deck 9. Does anyone know if the partition on the balcony can be opened or removed between our two cabins? Also, what is your opinion on the best time to reserve North Star - at sea or in port. I'm not sure if it is open while at sea due to wind.
