  1. Would love to hear how the first couple of cruises are going in Alaska ???
  2. Next stop Colon Panama. Seattle WA here we come! It's looking more real all the time!
  3. It really looks great having a cruise ship in port after all these months! Let's hope this is just a precursor of good things to come for those folks up there.
  4. So pretty!!! Welcome to Seattle. Next stop Alaska...
  5. I am just wondering what people think about still having to wear masks while inside of the ship except while actively eating, drinking, or inside room cabin. It really seems over the top since the ship is fully vaccinated for everyone 12 or up on our August 16th trip to Alaska on Serenade of the Seas out of Seattle! Really ridiculous considering that the rules out of Florida are not even requiring a vaccine!
  6. "Due to ongoing uncertainty with the re-opening of international borders, as well as subsequent changes to their global return to service, Royal Caribbean has made a few adjustments to their upcoming itinerary offerings. Unfortunately, as a result of these changes, Royal Caribbean has cancelled additional sailings onboard Ovation of the Seas, Quantum of the Seas, Serenade of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas, including your upcoming cruise vacation. Royal Caribbean is offering the following options for impacted sailings: ?100% Refund ?125% Future Cruise Credit"
  7. Just received an email cancelling all my My Time Dining Reservations. Can the actual cruise cancellation be far behind???
  8. In the Grand suite or Owners suites, can the bed be split into two separate beds or is it just a queen size bed?
  9. Hello, I'm hoping someone can help with a couple questions on these rooms. The floorplans of the rooms on the website show a small balcony and an alcove with windows next to the bed. But all the photos/videos that I can find of the rooms show them with a full balcony across the entire width of the room. Has anyone sailed on the Serenade of the Seas in an owners suite that can verify the room/balcony layout. I'm also looking to see if rooms 1560 and 1562 connect (again, deck plans say they do but all videos I have seen do not show a connecting door). Thanks so much for any help you can
  10. Serenade for July 19 and 26th have been removed from the website. I Called Rcl and couldn’t get a straight answer if they were canceled or put on hold for some reason. Anyone with more information on this?
  11. Looks like the Serenade is now docked in Port Everglades. Could this is be a sign she is taking on crew and getting them vaccinated prior to moving to Seattle? Hope so!
  12. I see on a cruise dot com site the attached map of the route the Serenade of the Seas will follow for Alaska cruises this year from Seattle. Obviously this is not info sent out by RC but they never seem to show any maps of their cruises. I would be thrilled if this is the route they follow as I’d love to avoid sailing out and around Vancouver Island into the open sea. How likely is this route correct? Possible? Probable? Thanks for your input - Johnette
  13. I’m one of those left hanging when Canada closed the border to cruise ships through Feb ’22 but Royal didn’t officially cancel my cruises. I was told I could ‘wait and see’ as Royal 'works diligently on next steps in light of this recent government mandate’. I also have the complication of not knowing if I can cruise for longer than 7 days. I’d love for some version of these cruises to sail, but even with the recent announcement, it seems too complicated to happen by August. It is my understanding I can’t Lift and Shift with price protection unless the cruises ar
  14. Have cabin 7170 booked on Serenade for January 2023. Shows as partially obstructed view and bigger balcony, but deck plans rarely show what the cabin actually looks like. Anyone ever stay in this cabin that would be willing to share photos?
  15. I have booked my daughter and her 3 friends in a 1K Ultra Spacious Ocean View Room on Serenade of the Seas. Our choices were 8002, 8502, 7004, and 7504. I originally chose one of the 8th deck rooms because it seems a little bigger, and the videos I saw showed that it might have a couch and two chairs by the one window. But as I looked at the videos I could find again, it seems that when they separate the bed into twins, it might make the room a bit crowded. So I'm thinking about switching them to one of the 7th deck rooms. The bed seems to be in a space that is separated from other areas of th
  16. This morning while looking thru 2022 short cruises came across Serenade out of Tampa. 5 night western in a Balcony with a refundable rate of $697.62 on 10/22/22 for both of us or $69 per person/ per day. I realize Serenade is an older smaller ship but still seems like a great deal. Also have others seen refundable rates come up automatically like this? Usually have to pay extra for refundable?
  17. I should be in Galveston now, inviting y'all to join us on a Liberty B2B, but fate has prevented that, so lets go to Copenhagen 😷 This was exactly one year ago, and I didn't invite you then, so lets cross the pond now. At least I've got decent internet now
  18. Our Serenade of the Seas Panama canal cruise (10 nights with four sea days) is almost 700 days away and we have never booked this early so this is actually the first time ever when there are hump and aft cabins available. We have always stayed in a basic balcony cabin and that’s what we have booked now but I can’t stop thinking whether we should switch into a hump / aft cabin or play it safe and stick with what we are used to. This will be our first Radiance class cruise. Almost every aft cabin is available and it would be about 400 dollars more than the balcony cabin we have booke
  19. Alaska itineraries are out for 2022! We've already done Ovation to Alaska. Now I'm considering Radiance or Serenade. We've never sailed Radiance class... any preference for one over the other? Also, would you choose an itinerary with Vancouver, Sitka, Juneau, Hubbard Glacier, and Ketchikan OR Seward, Hubbard Glacier, Juneau, Skagway, Haines, Icy Point Strait, Ketchikan, and Vancouver? We've already been to Juneau and Skagway...really wondering about Sitka vs Seward, Haines, and Icy Point Strait.
  20. Hi cruisers, I have purchased a magnet of the ship on every ship I’ve cruised on as an adult. But my very first cruise was when I was 16 and I’d love to find one of that one to complete my collection (well, you know... until I add more cruises). That ship was Royal Caribbean’s (former) Viking Serenade. Do any of you know where I might find one? I’ve already searched EBay.
  21. Welcome Back. Apparently I missed the boat on doing this in real time 2 years later. I honestly thought it started on August 26, 2018 So starting on the 23rd or 24th made sense. Turns out it ended on the 26th. That was also the date of the TA to Boston that we had to cancel. Oops. Anyway, better late than never, let's go to Copenhagen and the Baltics Well, some of us are going. Someone had to stay home as usual. There probably won't be anymore pup pics in this thread. If you need a Bella fix, please join the party in Floataway Loun
  22. It's been about 5 years since we have been on Royal but looking at a possible cruise for next year. Was thinking of Ocean view but I prefer the bed not to be under the window so we can stand and look out not kneel on the bed. Does anyone know which cabins have the bed that way? Thanks. Connie
  23. I know some of the cabins on deck 7 have extended balconies but the last few feet do not have a wall dividing the balconies. Is cabin 7536 one of those cabins?
  24. Can someone help guide me to find some photos reviews of the serenade of the seas while in Alaska!
