I usually qualify for a higher certificate the last night. I just go to the casino hosts, when I am finished for the night, and they issue a new certificate.

I play the slots and from now on, especially with this new tier program, I'm going to be taking a picture of my points at the end of each cruise, so I have a record.

Table players don’t get to see our points. [emoji51]

Just left Enchantment. I verified play on roulette for over 4-1/1 hours. Average bet $100. Host told me I only earned 536 points! Wow! Really? I was shocked. I threw down $7,000-$8000 worth of bets and that “normally” doesn’t qualify for free drinks??? He didn’t have an answer. “It’s the computer that calculates it”.

I better enjoy my Signature Level while it lasts. At this rate it WONT lol.

Plus- certain drinks in the casino were “not allowed”. Some top shelf. I ordered a Baileys. They said they could not give it to me but they can substitute a different brand. Another WOW... Not sure if that is ship specific but I heard other complaints from high rollers as well

Interesting. We were on the Jewel on a B2B in late February and early March. I had used CR $ off certificates so I was booked through CR. On the first night onboard I went to the casino and the Host checked for me on her list and I got my sticker right away. I had no trouble ordering Baileys or chocolate martinis for my wife and premium rum or scotch, etc., for myself. I simply tipped the bartender or table server for each drink and was taken care of the entire two weeks. It sounds like each ship is different. With free drinks in the casino and concierge lounge, I only spent about $150 on drinks elsewhere or during the day on deck.

That's bull shiggitty!

Baileys shouldn't be an issue.

By their calculations you would have to have played 21 hours to get a free inside certificate on a 3 night cruise.

They do seem to send the certificates out the next to last day. I just see the host at the end of the last night to get an updated cert. They seem to have my exact points recorded. I haven’t found them to be different than what I thought they were.

We do the same, on oasis the host said she had way over 500 certs to send out so was doing them early to ensure people got something, I just kept playing and took the very back when I'd reached the next level and she switched it out.

In regards to the free drinks, on Oasis they were substituting all the named liquors with what they called "house" brands. Bacardi was out of a white rum bottle, Bailey's was a coffee cream, soda wasn't in a can unless you specifically asked for the can, they used post mix syrup gun and so forth. It didn't really matter to me alcohol wise as I often drink the cheaper brands at home lol but one "high roller" (I watched him play $1000 on a slot and walk away with nothing 🤤) he was really complaining, made the bar tender re make a drink a couple of times till he said the correct alcohol was used.

I understand that they have a lot of certificates to give out. IMO this process is completely bogus as many people don't realize that their certificate is probably less than they deserve. Why would you give someone a certificate knowing that it isn't accurate ? They should change this process to require you to get your certificate issued from the shoreside folks after the cruise is over. They could issue a piece of paper with a certificate number on it and a phone number to call to get your final value.

I was on Enchantment last week and was told I had less than 1000 points which I knew was from my last cruise. I have sailed 4 times from July16 - Dec17 and know I avg over 1000 points a cruise. I tried talking to the host and all he said was I needed 1500 hundred more points to reach the next tier. No explanation and was rude about it.

I had the same response from Victoria?(Spelling) on Majesty about a week and a half ago.

She could see my points.

But, when I asked her how many points I had, she flat out said that she wouldn't tell me because, "Then everybody will be asking her, and she doesn't have the time for it." I knew I should have had the VIP sticker, that is the reason I was asking. After prying her about it, and she looked, she realized that I was correct. She gave me the sticker on my card.

Gayle, be sure to hold up your seapass card or something with your full name next to the slot machine when taking the picture. The one and only cruise I took last year, I earned 2500 points and received a cruise cert for an interior. This was long before the new program's tiers were published, but something told me to snap a picture of my points at the end of the cruise, which I did. The CH reported to CR that I had earned a $400 cruise certificate. I submitted picture showing the 2,500 points to Club Royale and they said they would have to verify the photo was legit because only the first name shows next to the points. From the offers I'm receiving, I still don't think it's been corrected, and since 2500 supposedly qualifies for level 2, the error /difference is significant.

But if you remove your Seapass card from the slot doesn't all of your points/name information disappear ?

It does.

But, after reading this, I am going to touch the "Points" softkey on the little screen while my seapass is still inserted..

That way, it will show my first name and points accrued during the current cruise.

I will just make sure to hold my license next to the screen in the picture.

No, I just tapped my seapass card, never had to insert it. Points show until you sign out of the machine.

It also depend on what ship you are on. On the older ships, you have to insert your card. Anthem you just tap your card.

Similar thing happened to us on the Majesty last year. She would not tell us our points saying "someone might hear". We never got the sticker.

UGH! Hate to be the bearer of bad news....

Just received the new Blue Chip Exclusive Offers via mail. The new offers are not great. Only one complimentary 4 DAY cruise and the percentage off sucks. FYI my tier is just below the top tier. (Sapphire) No longer worth losing that kind of money in the casino - that's for sure! I feel for the casino hosts.

I was also told they will be implementing a new Blue Chip Club in the coming months. How much more can they possibly take away from their casino guests?????????

Are you sure that wasn't just a special offer that they send out like the golf outings, baseball, tournament offers? The original information that was sent out to people offered an inside for up to an 8 day cruise for Prime and a balcony for up to 8 days for Signature.

Sapphire wasn't even one of the tiers. It was Select, Prime, Signature and Masters.

Hi - this thread is about the Royal Caribbean Club Royale, not Celebrity's Blue Chip Club, however since they are both under the same corporation - I'm not surprised that they are changing yours as well.

I'm a member of both casino programs, but haven't cruised Celebrity in a few years.

You might find other players in Celebritys Blue Chip Club to discuss this with - in Celebritys thread.

Check out the thread on the RC Board. No more double points for suites if you used a RC certificate or casino rates! I have two cruises booked and paid for, but that doesn't matter. I specifically paid extra for a suite to get to Diamond Plus.

This new policy went into effect for all cruises departing on April 15 or after. I e-mailed Michael Bayley's office and received a reply that they were looking into it. This just sucks, and may finally be the straw that sends me away from Royal.

Whoa, what? I booked an 11 nighter in a Grand Suite to get me to Diamond. Booked a year ago. You mean they will not give me double points because I got a casino rate? If they implement this for previously booked cabins, it will be my last cruise with RCI. Is this in writing?

No but has been confirmed in calls to CR and C &A. They were having a meeting about it today and many of us have been promised a communication back from Michael Bayley's office. I dont understand why they would not grandfather in previously booked cruises. Will post again if Nelson Frau in MB's office actually does email me back, as he promised.

And I am with you. If no grandfathering, I am done with Royal. No more $$ from me.
